Every year before the rookie draft we get together with some of the other league managers and "re-draft" the previous year's rookies. It's more of the top 20 ranking of each of us perceive those rookies. It's fun to see where player's place and how our opinions have changed with hingsight 20-20. The exercise also helps us remove some of the emotional attachment we may have for how we drafted last year to give us clearer heads this year.

The NFL draft is over we are wrapping our situation review with the NFC running backs, which is fitting because the top two RB's taken in the draft landed in the NFC.

We have a special co-host this week to help us look at each team in AFC and their repsective RB situations. It's the night before the 2026 NFL draft and anything can happen that will dramatically impact our opinions on the RB rooms, so before that happens we are going to have a look at the each AFC RB room, pick the lead back, and give our ranking. We might also mention which teams we think will take an early RB in the draft.

The playoffs are here! The Top 4 teams have risen to battle for our league championship, while the next 4 teams face-off in the Consolation bracket. Injuries, coaches' decisions to sit/bench players, contract incentives, along with other factors all impact player fantasy performance. Depth is key followed by a little luck in making the right start/sit selection. Good luck everyone.

It’s the last week of the regular season for us and we have four teams fighting for the last two playoff spots. Two of them have an easier path than the other two. Wins and losses alone won’t be the deciding factor. It’s going to come down to Total Points For. In the event all four teams end with the same record, scoring the most total points will determine their playoff future. I’m anxious to see how it all plays out. I’d also like to give an early shout-out to Cherven for holding the last place position for us as we enter the last week of the season. Your just rewards will be waiting for you at the finish line!

Week 13 came and went, with more upsets and disappointments than we were expecting. Just like at the dinner table during the holidays. There are only 4 weeks left until the fantasy playoffs and this weekend we saw a massive shake up in the league standings. A couple of upset losses caused the heat to be turned up for several teams hoping to take home the title this year. Which, in all honesty, makes for some really great matchups and drives the emotional engagement for not just our own match-ups, but for those we are competing against. It’s a great time in fantasy football.

The hits keep coming from injuries, upsets, and bye weeks, but we’re conditioned fantasy managers. We’re built to weather these storms. This is when we dig deep and play those players that were lost deep on our benches, with names we’re unfamiliar with, but scored a touchdown last week. Because in our darkest hours we chase those points and hope whatever all-powerful-deity shines favour on us. Go get that win

It’s Canadian Thanksgiving this week and I would like to give thanks for good friends to play fantasy football with and for staying friends through all the wins & losses. Thank you for the fun times! Now, with 5 weeks of football come and gone, some of us are looking at the playoffs with excitement, some of us are looking at ways to get into the playoffs, and the rest of us are deciding if selling now to get a jump start on next year is out best course of action. Whichever situation you’re in, we feel for you.

We’re a quarter of the way through the season, so let’s take a pause and look at where we are at. This week we review our match-ups, league standings, recent news & injuries, and place some bets. Week 5 also brings us our first round of bye weeks, joy! Where are you all at?

It’s Week 4 and the injury bug is here. I would like to wish everyone a speedy recovery and that no more players will get injured this year. Please note, that is one wish with multiple conditions that should be relatively simple to grant on a scale of getting a Slim Jim snack for free from the vending machine versus World Peace. We conclude our divisional breakdown with the NFC North, the best division in football, not because the Lions are in it, but because of all of the top tier fantasy options that exist. There’s so much to choose from, that even if you’re not a fan of any of these teams, you probably have shares in many of their players. And if you don’t, then you probably wish you did. Let’s get ready for some Week 1 football!

It’s pronounced “pu-tsin” according to Wikipedia, but I say it’s “poo-tin” when I’m talking about my favourite side dish of fries, cheese curds, and gravy. I highly recommend you try it. But do you know what's not good but still worth trying, just in case it got better? If you said the NFC South then you would be right. This division has not been good for some time now, but there are so many fantasy darlings that it has to be getting better…right? Let’s hope so as we break down this week’s division, the NFC South.

Westward Ho! To the land of the NFC West. A once prominent and powerful division, now it’s a shadow of its former self. What was once one of the premiere divisions has now turned itself into that awkward league mate whose team has no synergy, relying on older recycled vets, unsupported rookie talent, oft injured starters, and overpriced salvage projects. Yet, it still has some fantasy darlings with a few high-risk high-reward players that might be worth taking. For example, would you rather have CMC & Marvin Harrison or Puka Nacia & George Kittle?

The AFC North should be shared with friends and as such we invited our friend @SlickBurn to join the show. We catch up on our summer adventures and nobody points out how sunburnt I am, either these are some good friends or I need to invest in a better camera. All jokes aside, including everything you can say about the Cleveland Browns, this was a fun division to talk about with lots of fantasy options, some of the best actually. We’re three episodes into breaking down each division with this week featuring the AFC East. What a joy it was to talk about all the fantasy goodness this division brings to football, not. This division feels like one of the scariest ones with the amount of potential for failure. It comes down to what you believe and we differ on who we like in this division as fantasy assets. @ANDPRY came up with another early season bet that was too much fun to wait for, so this week we dialed up the wheel of death to help us select a fantasy roster of all backups & second fiddles. It presented an interesting thought experiment on who thought the #2 guys were/are on their teams at each position and what we thought about their season long fantasy potential could be. Fun time @all

Last week we drafted an @all AFC team for each other to kick off this season’s bets. Now we get to select “the best” players from the NFC. This one did not work out the same way with one team being far more powerful on paper, but anything can happen in this season-long bet.

We're back in the void where there is no real football to talk about. So we decided to get creative and find ways to talk about the game we love and then make it competitive with betting. So we drafted fantasy teams for each other using the Wheel of Death and only players from the AFC. What treat it was picking the "best" players for each other. With our rookie draft done, it’s time again to look back into the past at last year’s draft and see how we would draft those players knowing what we know now. Hindsight 20/20 does allow us to make “better” selections or at least recognize with a bit more clarity on who could be better, and the first two rounds look vastly different. With special guest labrebis helping to order our selections (with a few technical difficulties), we bang out what essentially is our Top 20 Rookies of 2024

Our rookie draft is complete and it’s time to review. There were a few trades that were very thoughtful based on the players selected. Overall, I think we all did very well, A+ everyone!

Andrew and I are back to complete our Top 5 and 5 Busts with RB and WR for 2025. It was a fun exercise deciding who thought would make Top 5 and then think of who would end up as Busts this year. There were some some similar selections but with very different reasonings. It should make for some "great" trade talks down the road, lol.

We’re closing in on our rookie draft, so Andrew and I decided to create & share our Top 5 QB’s and TE’s for 2025 as well as our 5 Busts at those positions. It all stemmed from a conversation we had about who thought we could trust and who we thought we couldn’t. And now you know the rest of the story

With the NFL draft over, Andrew and I decided to have a high level look at each skill position to give some quick quips about who went where, how we feel right now about their fantasy potential, and wrap it @all up with some bad puns & dad jokes.

We take one more kick at some NFL industry mocks before the NFL draft tomorrow night! We grabbed 5 fresh from the presses mock drafts and lined them up to see who is taking who. With little surprise near the top, there were several surprises along the way with a very strong feeling on which teams could trade up or back into the first round.
