Ive had a long love affair with this track and its dancefloor potential given its hybrid disco Indie punk funk sound. Released in 2019 out of California, the edit has taken on a number of iterations, this the latest having picked the project up for editing on and off over the last year. By chance and he wandered in whilst his latest record was playing, Exstatic Love on Magic Wand. After intros from Shaun we had a good chat that evening around similar familiar musical strands. This selection has been in the offing for a few months now after locating a stack of minidiscs in a dusty recess. The plan was to upload a live mix from plan B back in 2007 when we welcomed the forefather DJ Pierre to our (mine and Adrian Blunts) established B-Side night at Plan B in Brixton. A 20 years of acid house special no less, the slight glitch... the mix, had corrupted and forever it shall rest in memory. Have tried to recall most of the tracks from that night and embellished a little with just the best ones here :-) and a couple of tracks dug in recent times that sit kindly in the mix. This is head down, deep late 80's house barring the last track which is from 92. Its all early house forms, warm baselines.
