I sat down with my good friend Brianna Collins to discuss her creative process as a dancer, actress, and choreographer. She graduated from Störling’s Artist Development Program, where she trained for two years under Mona Storling-Enna, Hannah Anderson, Courtney Bourman, Marc Wayne, Suzanne Ryan-Strati, and others. She has worked with choreographers Rosie Herrera, Catherine Meredith, and Victoria Marks through New Dance Partners at the Midwest Trust Center. She has enjoyed choreographed many musical theatre productions and her choreography has been performed throughout the Kansas City Area and in Germany. Brianna has been teaching ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, pointe, and modern techniques for the past 10 years, and loves every second of it. She is currently in her fourth season of dancing professionally with Störling Dance Theater in Olathe, KS and is the Artistic Director of Greenleaf Performing Arts Academy. Brianna believes that dance is one of the most full expressions of humanity and worship when pursued with a holistic mindset.
