This Episode The Say Report celebrates Brendan Fraser History Month by celebrating the 30th anniversary of “Mrs. Winterbourne,” a truly unique film that not only helps define the films that were allowed to be made in the 1990s but also acts as a cautionary tale of how it things may have gotten out of hand at the time.  

The Passion of Darkly Noon kicks off our tenth season celebrating Brendan Fraser History Month, which feels appropriate because it is a film that we only ever became aware of through these annual celebrations.We venture deep into The Forest of this film and eventually make it out the other side to find a deeper appreciation for the Brendan’s abilities as an actor as he takes on one of his scariest roles yet. We also do our best to figure out the message the film is trying to send with its ethereal fantasy storytelling and what we can do to be better after having experienced this parable.

In this very special episode we continue our celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the American Pie franchise with a deep dive into the fifth installment… The Naked Mile. We find a lot more depth in this film and also find a way to better understand the Stiflers that came before we were introduced to distant cousins Erik and Dwight and what their characters might ultimately mean for the series as a whole, but mostly we use to college sex romp as an excuse to reminisce about our own crazy shared collegiate party experiences. 

This past week Devon gazed through the smoke and interacted with two $10 games that were Castlevania Adjacent “Saint Slayer: Spear of Sacrilege” and “Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors” and he is ready to discuss. Then we go on a journey discussing what it means to be an adult by reminiscing about our fast food follies from our youth and then discussing retail practices that somehow make Walmart and Target the lesser of two evils when compared against large corporations and their quest for infinite profit growth.Finally we share our theme and schedule for Brendan Fraser History Month 2026 so the listen can properly prepare for May’s content.

This week episode is for the toys as Devon shares the inspiration behind his latest adventures and purchases in the realm of Toy Collecting,Then Sejohn shares his new philosophy as it relates to enjoying the video games he already has access to and the new game it brought him to play Sutte Hakkun on the Super Famicom.Finally we wrap things up with a discussion about film and Hollywood as we focus on the latest film from Happy Madison… Roommates

In this latest episode of the Say Report we start off with Devon admitting to his failure to complete any of the games he had planned to conquer over this past week while Sejohn talks about his own time with Raccoin and how he compares it against similar games in the genre he has spent time with. Then we try to transition to a discussion about The Super Mario Galaxy Movie but get distracted by  the current state of cinema and pause for a brief moment to discuss Disney potentially cancelling the last two Avatar films and why that makes sense from a monetary perspective and also to discuss our thoughts about how successful Avengers: Doomsday will be. Eventually we begin our discussion about the second animated Super Mario film and share why we know it worked for us while also attempting to  figure out why it has inspired such an outcry of disappointment from others.Finally we leave things with a dessert helping of television with a brief update on Best Medicine and our plans for watching the Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair revival 

The American Healthcare system is the topic du jour in this latest episode of the Say Report as your host-companions take the time to share their recent experiences with healthcare professionals and even hope to import some knowledge about PharmDs and how they can help with a person’s personal journey with medication. Then we dive deeper into Resident Evil as a series with Sejohn’s completion of the ninth installment and share our hopes and dreams for the future of the franchiseSticking with the topic of gaming we take a quick glance at the indie titles Devon found himself playing with roguelite coin pusher “Raccoin” and the action exploration “Little Nemo and the Guardians of Slumberland”  Finally we share our plans for handling the Super Mario Galaxy Movie on the heels of a brief discussion about 2015’s Hitman: Agent 47

This episode starts with a heavy examination of the updated Nintendo Switch 2 edition of Super Mario Bros. Wonder based on Devon’s hands on experience. We focus on the changes from the original release and a few opinions on the multiplayer games that make up the bulk of the release. Not to be outdone by Devon’s gaming experiences Sejohn shares his own continuing saga with Pat’s Parabox and Dice A Million.Finally to round out the episode Devon discusses some of the television shows that have premiered in 2026 and his feelings about  just how necessary some of them are.

When Sejohn chooses Video Games with a side of Smithwicks the conversation turns to Resident Evil Requiem Speed Running Nuances and the Say Reporters experience with Panic’s latest game Ratcheteer and what it might mean for the future of indie gaming projectsFinally Devon gets to discuss movies with a spoiler filled recap of Colleen Hoover’s Reminders of Him that proves despite enjoying his time with the film it ultimately left him feeling angry at some of the narrative conveniences.

In this time capsule episode Devon and Sejohn soothe their wounds after the New England Patriots defeat in Super Bowl LX by celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Judd Apatow scripted film “Celtic Pride” 

A brief discussion on Pixar’s new film “Hoppers” turns into an hour long exploration on the history of Pixar and its output. Next we finally make good on our promise to discuss the Major Fan Service Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Crossover event that was this year’s Battle Nexus and things end up getting a bit weird. Finally we end up discussing some small controversies about speedrunning the new Resident Evil game and sharing our first impressions of the latest Beat ‘Em Up release Scott Pilgrim EX

The Say Report is back to its normal recording schedule as 2026 has finally slowed down for your host-companions.This episode we share how we have spent the extended time between recordings with discussions about the later seasons of Family Ties, various films we’ve enjoyed, a dash of HUB entertainment in Dan Vs. and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and the anticipation of a video game releasing this week. We hope you enjoy the episode and look forward to a return to more focused recording now that our schedules have normalized.

In this episode that received a battlefield promotion from Time Capsule to Excused Absence episode we kick off our examination of the 1996 Tom Arnold Trilogy with Big Bully where we find him starring alongside Rick Moranis.Devon brings a pretty insane but logical theory to the table about the intentions behind the film’s production, while Sejohn rightfully bemoans the wasted potential on display.In the end we pay a nice tribute to Rob Reiner and find the secret underlying beauty of this oft-derided film and learn a little bit about ourselves along the way.

This episode kicks off with some direct addressing of comments we received after last weeks episode that nicely dovetail into Devon’s final thoughts about Metroid Prime 4: Beyond after finally completing the game. From there we discuss ways that the youth are being infantilized and having those small options for independence taken from them in a world that seems to keep adding restrictions for the population under the age of 18.Next Sejohn shares some of the things he has spent his money from the holidays on from supporting creators to the purchasing of some truly crackerjack collection comic publications. Finally we give a little bit of oxygen to the Winter Olympics that will be kicking off in a few weeks in additions to a brief discussion about the televised entertainment that has premiered so far in 2026.

This episode was recorded on the 40th birthday of one of your Say Reporters so we celebrated with birthday drinks and a bit of a truncated episode length. Don’t worry though we find time to discuss Dubbed Chimpanzee entertainment, South Park in its various forms, and share some complaints about modern gaming.

This week’s episode begins with your Say Reporters discussing some Terrestrial Radio mistruths they have heard in their lifetimes and trying to correct the errors and omissions present. Then the talk turns cinematic with an exploration of Devon’s experiences viewing the December 2025 version of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, a brief spoiler-free discussion on the latest film in the Knives Out franchise “Wake Up Dead Man,” before Devon takes us on a detour to television, specifically the streaming premiere of the second season of Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on Paramount+.

In another excused absence episode of The Say Report your reporters take the time to unpack all of the things they did over the past few weeks including the movies they’ve seen, video games they’ve played, and television shows they’ve endured.

The Say Reporters embark upon a new adventure on the Road to Reubens and the eventual coverage of Mystery Men for its 30th anniversary and of course they start are the most logical of places by celebrating the 40th anniversary of Pee-wee’s Big Adventure

We bring Saturday energy to this episode that sees us addressing the episode topics we delayed a week ago by pivoting to an episode all about the 1995 film CasperThat means we finally get to talk about Devon’s cinematic experiences with “One Battle After Another” and “Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie,” The Sonic Crossworlds Racing Homework we completed but never turned in, and the latest update to TMNT: Splintered Fate.Alongside that is new topics including Devon’s experience trying to correct a shipping issue with NECA that happened via Wal-Mart’s website and Sejohn accidentally trolling the ENTIRE Decker family by asking them to watch a specific episode of American Dad with an eye for reference to a particular Pixar property.

Both of your Say Reporters had topics to discuss this week, but things ended up getting changes at the last minute when one of them realizes the film “Casper” is so in the wheelhouse of Say Report topics that it would be wrong to discuss anything else after they both watched it this past week. Hopefully we’ll remember and discuss those preempted topics this way next week, but for now enjoy this episode where we not only celebrate the darkness of the piece but also do our best to determine the actual date that Casper McFadden passed away.    

This episode sees your Say Reporters Dealing with the after effects of their choices. One of getting their Autumnal Vaccinations vaccinated hours before recording and the other making updates to the technology they’ve surrounded themselves with. This in turn leads to interesting examination of the current state of Artificial Intelligence, the long history of imitation in the realm of art, and the grimy history of Disney films.

Yes you read that right Devon bought a Katana, and that fact leads us into a deeper discussion of the Ninja Gaiden and Shinobi games he has already completed this year and how his experience has been with Silk Song both in and out of the game. Then Sejohn talks about his latest stoppage point with Super Mario Odyssey and his excitement at Borderlands 4 being a bit tempered by some of the unending missions he has found himself involved with on the planet Kairos. Next we discuss Disney. From the Indefinite Preemption of Jimmy Kimmel, to the latest full season drop of Futurama on Hulu, before finally the new released to streaming film “Elio” and trying to figure out why that film ended up as such a non-starter for audiences. It’s rough, it’s raw, we discover our first episode of SNL that we each watched was the same one that featured Christopher Walken as the host deepening our lore, but most importantly this is most certainly an episode of the Say Report and we thank all of you for taking the time to listen. 

After a difficult week both of your Say Reporters find themselves a bit burnt out and even more interesting that they are not the only ones seemingly experiencing it so that dedicate this episode to discussing the burnout that they have witnessed in the world and sharing the methods they have employed in an effort to combat it.

This episode sees The Say Reporters discussing the release of Silksong and their thoughts and feelings about Hollow Knight and how that affected their decision to interact with its sequel, which for one was actually giving it a try and the other was going back to the warm welcoming world of Shantae in her third adventure. Next is a look at K-Pop Demon Hunters on Netflix a film that both of your hosts just happened to finally watch this past week that ended up being a nice surprise for both of them. After that Devon shares his experiences with all of the new streaming shows that premiered this past week and how the industry of streaming entertainment continues to evolve and change and not necessarily for the better.

Devon is able to pivot from this topic to discuss how excited he is for the ambitious storytelling that seems to be on hand for the Second Season on Peacemaker after the thrilling first episodeThe next topic is movies, specifically re-releases in the wake of the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film doing 3.3 Million in box office sales in its now first week after they decided to extend its run. Finally we talk video games in the platinuming of “SteamWorld Heist II,” the non-platinuming of “Shadow Labyrinth,” each Say Reporters plan for there next game play endeavor, and the excitement surrounding the latest announcements for the Resident Evil series going Veronican.

After our brief vacation The Say Reporters are back trying to answer an existential question related to a world where there but for the grace of a degree in Communications go they. After that fun the attention is turned towards all of the things that were engaged in during our time away, in the realms of films, television, and video games. The best part if that now that we’re all caught up we can turn our attention towards new topics to research for next week’s episode!

In this experimental Time Capsule episode we try a variation on the “Nothing, Noise, and Nonsense” approach as the Say Reporters each present two topics leading to discussions about cyrptids, comic book adaptations, sitcoms about podcasting, and the current state of the internet. 

New media tackles old media as Devon and Sejohn start off this latest episode with a discussion about the state of broadcast television as an industry fueled by the cancellation of The Late Show by CBSThen we look at how one film director is fighting the revival of pirate downloads and discuss if this may be the first step towards the movie industry finding solid footing again. After those depressing topics based on Devon’s first hand experiences with both titles we provide a brief overview on “Donkey Kong Bananza” and “Shadow Labyrinth” two video games being reimagined by their original companies for modern audiences. Finally we take a trip through the Drive-Thru to discuss some of the latest Fast Food offerings we’ve recently taken notice and/or a bite of.

The Say Reporters both took the time to see the new Superman film and in this episode we take the time to share our initial thoughts about it.Before that fun begins though Devon has a rather somber message to share about the future of the River City Girls and Sejohn is takes the time to educate when the topic of Spider-Man, as represented in the 1967 cartoon theme song, is brought up.
