In the last episode we noticed Part A of this Chapter where Harry and Clara Macintosh renew and deepen a friendship with an old friend. While visiting on a Vacation Trip both Couples will be challenged in different ways concerning how they can serve the Lord in even more ways. We invite you to listen to this podcast.

Welcome back to the Secret of a Successful Life Series where we are sharing the book, “Hope That Never Fades.”    The era known as The Korean War has been a stressful time for the family of Oscar Macintosh and those who care deeply for him.  By July 27, 1953 the Korean Armistice Agreement was signed.  Oscar would soon be coming home from the POW Camp.  While this was a joyous time it was also bittersweet with the leaving behind of good close friends.   With the time for Oscar to return home, many people are preparing to make this a very special event.  The next episode is titled, “With God’s Help Two Scared People Help Each Other have A Great Life.”  Oscar and Minnie will see each other and develop a lifelong relationship that has some adjustments along the way.   We invite you to listen to this podcast.

Welcome back to the Secret of a Successful Life Series podcast where we are sharing the book, “Hope That Never Fades.”       The value of a good Christian Friend is priceless.  While Oscar is still a POW in Korea his family continues to live for Christ.  His twin Sister Mary will wonder if she should get married to Joshua Stevens or wait until Oscar comes home from the war. Harry and Clara will also reach out to encourage a struggling young couple that are serving God in a difficult Church.   In the next episode the chapter is titled, “Saying Goodbye To Old Friends And Looking To The Future.”   The Korean War will be coming to a close and Oscar will be preparing to come home for new adventures, but also have to say goodbye to friends that have become very dear to him in the Prison Camp. There are times when we struggle with personal decisions  in life.   It is always important to take time to pray and seek God’s leading from His Word, because God helps us with what He wants us to do.  We have noticed in this book that  High School Senior Minnie Wells has been caringly praying for Oscar and desiring that a lifetime relationship will  develop when  he comes home from the Prisoner of War Camp.            Yet in the spring of the year, Minnie will be asked to attend the Prom with a nice young man.  She will be faced with a major decision of what she should do.  This chapter is titled,     “The New Hope Of Spring.”    We have seen how God has been guiding Oscar and Minnie in ways they have no way of understanding.  The next episode is titled, “What Is Our World Coming Too?”  Harry and Clara will wonder why some Christians mistreat others and they will work to help bring hope to discouraged believers.  We invite you to listen to this podcast.

This week our podcast will focus on a special time in my wife Deb's life as we remember her 50th anniversary in the Lord. The title of this Novel is, “The Secret of A Successful Life Series.”  The main theme is how the Lord Jesus Christ gives us success as we follow Him in all areas of our lives.  In this podcast Harry and Clara will compare their service for God to some old College Friends who appear to be very successful.  Harry and Clara will then re-focus on Christ and that will help them to see what real success in life really is.  For Our next episode we are planning to have a different but very important podcast that we want to share with you.  We want to invite you to listen to this.

In this episode Oscar Macintosh will be released from his thirty day solitary confinement in the prison camp. Oscar will have a determination to survive the war and go home to marry the Girl Minnie Wells that has written so many letters to him. Oscar will also face another life threatening situation that challenge him in more unexpected ways. In the last episode Young Army Solider Oscar Macintosh is adjusting to life as a Prisoner of War in the Korean War.  Oscar and the people who love him are heart sick about his situation.  But they realize that to live by faith, they must present their desires to God and then live by faith in believing that God will help them. In this episode titled, ”Even Stressful Times Can have Joy.  We will notice how people like us can live by faith in God during difficult times. Welcome Back to the Secret Of A Successful Life Series. In our last episode,   we noticed the reactions to Oscar Macintosh becoming a Prisoner of War in the Korean War.  Not only was it difficult for Oscar, his parents and those who cared about him back home were heart broken about the news. Welcome Back to the Secret Of A Successful Life Series. In our last episode we concluded the fourth volume of the series, “Living Well In Freighting Times.”  Which described the lives of Christian People in the 1940’s.  At the end of that volume Harry and Clara Macintosh were devastated to learn that their oldest son Oscar Lee Macintosh had been taken as a Prisoner of War in the developing conflict known as the Korean War. In this Fifth volume titled, “Hope That Never Fades”  we will focus on the decade of the 1950’s, noticing how Oscar and those who care about him will face those difficult times.  There will be some new characters in this volume that will add more details to the story. In this episode we will notice the introduction and first chapter, titled  “Oh Lord, How Is This Going To Work Out?” In this episode we will notice how Oscar is beginning life in a Prisoner of War Camp and his loved ones back home are coping the best they can.  We will also notice that a young woman named Minnie Wells has more than a casual interest in Oscar’s welfare.  We invite you to listen to the rest of this series that will reveal the challenges and blessings those individuals will encounter.     In the next chapter Young Oscar will meet a total stranger in the Prison camp that knows his Dad Harry Macintosh.  The chapter is titled,  “I Know Your Dad”  We invite you to listen to this podcast.  

Welcome Back to the Podcast, “The Secret Of A Successful Life Series”  In the last episode we noticed how Harry and Clara had secretly purchased a new car for struggling newlyweds Leo and Barbara Jean Macintosh.  In this episode titled, “It’s Something I Think God Wants Me To Do. Part B”  we will learn about another family member who has done something he feels very strongly about that will change the course of his life and the lives of many others in the years to come.  We have noticed how Harry and Clara son Oscar has been captured by the Chinese during the Korean War and is in a Prisoner of War Camp. With chapter we end Volume Four in the Series and plan to share the next Volume Five in the coming new year.     The big question is will Oscar ever come home alive?  We invite you to listen to this new volume.

In the final months of World War II while the war was drawing to an end, there were many dangerous situations that the people in our story faced.   In this episode titled, “Because I Love My Family Very Much And My God Even More! Welcome back to the Secret of a successful Series Podcast.  In the last episode, Oscar Benson and Virginia Freeman were married in Tennessee.  While the two newlyweds are enjoying their new lives together, they will soon face an unexpected problem when their individual values will clash.  It will take their individual love for Christ to make up and overcome the issue.    We left this episode with Oscar and Virginia being married for two months when they are surprised to learn that they will have a baby in a few months.  Since Oscar will be shipping overseas for war duty, his sister Mary will travel to Tennessee to help her sister-in-law Virginia with the baby.  While she has been very serious with Jim Nelson who is in the South Pacific, in Tennessee she will meet another soldier and eventually she will receive and accept a marriage proposal.  The chapter is titled,   “Yes, Yes!
