The Time Smith🕰️👨🏭
by The Time Smith
A slow deep dive into the mind of brokenness. Brokeness is pointless to show, if there are no methods to build strength in the mind. This is the journey I took for restoring sanity. My life experiences consist of S.A, violence, gangs, drugs, delusional thinking. Having attended Juvenile Hall, Scared Straight and kicked out of my house at 15. A runaway with no aim in life. I've been reluctant to share but here is my attempt. I would spend days in my head trying to figure out why I was suffering so much. Issue by issue I discovered, the methods I used to cope. I dedicated myself to repairing myself, in the form of cleaning up my mind. I structured rooms and levels. I go through the rooms and how I learned to be a functioning member of society. I am the Time Smith.

Lesson 19: What's Next
Season three begins with a question that comes after growth, healing, and breakthrough… what’s next?In this episode of The Time Smith, we step back into the forge—the place where reflection becomes transformation. After overcoming addiction, hardship, and internal battles, there comes a moment where you look at your life and realize: you’ve reached a checkpoint. But life doesn’t end there. This lesson explores: The feeling of accomplishment vs. the reality of continued growth How past pain can shape self-destructive patterns The importance of facing your reflection—internally, not just externally Why healing requires action, not just thought Creating your personal “baseline” for a stable, grounded life Breaking cycles and choosing intentional change Smith challenges you to examine your life honestly—your habits, your thoughts, your patterns—and begin building your own forge. Not based on ego or perfection, but on clarity, patience, and truth. This is not about having everything figured out. It’s about deciding to move forward anyway. If you’ve ever asked yourself “Is this all there is?”—this episode is your answer. What’s next is up to you.Send us Fan MailSupport the show🎙️Thanks for listening to The Time Smith✉️Join the Mission: https://linktr.ee/TheTimeSmith🔔Subscribe and leave a review to help more people find this message.Forged in thought. Lesson 18: Intentional
What does it really mean to live with intention? In this episode, we step beyond routine, beyond reaction, and into deliberate living. Being intentional isn’t just about making plans—it’s about aligning your thoughts, your actions, and your purpose with something deeper. Most people drift. They move based on habit, emotion, or circumstance. But there comes a point where you have to decide: are you living on autopilot, or are you choosing your path? This episode breaks down:The difference between reacting and respondingHow small, intentional decisions shape your futureThe discipline it takes to stay aligned when life pulls you off courseWhy clarity and purpose must be built daily—not discovered overnightIntentional living is not loud. It’s not rushed. It’s precise, steady, and rooted. If you’ve been feeling scattered, stuck, or disconnected—this is your reset point.Be still. Be aware. Lesson 17: Triggered
In this lesson, Triggered, we return to the forge and step back into the deeper rooms of memory—where moments leave marks long after they pass.Being triggered isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s subtle. A smell. A touch. A sound. A memory you didn’t invite. In this episode, I explore how trauma attaches itself to the body and how one moment can shape the way we interact with the world for years afterward. We walk through the fourth floor—the place of suffering—and confront how certain experiences redefine safety, trust, and connection. I share how being triggered affected my relationships, my sense of touch, and my ability to feel at ease around others, and how I’ve learned to isolate those moments rather than let them define my entire life. This isn’t a clinical conversation. I’m not a doctor. This is simply my process—how I organized the chaos, separated the trauma from the present, and learned how to function without letting the past control me.If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by a reaction you couldn’t explain, if something small pulls you back into something painful, or if you’re trying to understand why certain moments still have power over you—this lesson is for you.If you haven’t already, you may also find value in the episode “Coping,” which many listeners have connected with deeply.Send us Fan MailSupport the show🎙️Thanks for listening to The Time Smith✉️Join the Mission: https://linktr.ee/TheTimeSmith🔔Subscribe and leave a review to help more people find this message.Forged in thought. Lesson 16: Uncertainty
In this lesson, The Lens of Uncertainty, The Timesmith returns to the Forge and descends into the deeper floors of the mind — the rooms where confusion is born, where memories echo louder than they should, and where innocence was replaced with questions too big for a child to answer.Uncertainty doesn’t always announce itself. Sometimes it arrives quietly — in feelings of inadequacy, rejection, anger, violence, addiction, or the constant need to figure everything out. Through reflection on childhood trauma, survival, and the decisions that shaped his life, The Timesmith explains how uncertainty became the foundation of both destruction and transformation. This episode explores:• How trauma plants lifelong uncertainty • The danger of living inside unresolved memories • Why hurt people often hurt others • How clarity begins when we accept what cannot be changed • The moment uncertainty becomes certaintyThis is not about reliving pain — it is about understanding it, organizing it, and refusing to let it define who you become.Send us Fan MailSupport the show🎙️Thanks for listening to The Time Smith✉️Join the Mission: https://linktr.ee/TheTimeSmith🔔Subscribe and leave a review to help more people find this message.Forged in thought. Lesson 15: Clarity
In this episode, we step back into the Forge—the place where thoughts, memories, and the unseen parts of our life take shape. Last time, we talked about organizing the mind, understanding the rooms we’ve built from brokenness. Today, we’re going deeper into something even more powerful: clarity. What does clarity look like when your hopes feel far away? When life demands more than you think you can give? When your heart gets tired of waiting?Through stories of childhood hope, prayer, disappointment, faith, and the unseen visions that guide us, I explain how clarity isn’t about what your eyes see—it’s about what your soul knows. Whether you’re believing for healing, a better future, a restored family, or simply a breakthrough in your own confidence, clarity is the fire that shapes the steel of who you are.Inside the Forge, I share:How clarity grows in unseen placesWhy hope can hurt but still lead you forwardHow childhood faith teaches adult visionWhy insecurities aren’t permanentAnd how to trust what you see even when no one else sees it yetIf you feel lost, you can be found. If you feel unloved, you are loved—by me, and by God.I am the Timesmith. Lesson 14: Organize
Building on last episode’s theme, A Lingering Pain, this lesson explores what it means to organize the mind — to confront the clutter of memories, emotions, and unresolved experiences that shape who we are.Through powerful storytelling and vivid metaphor, The TimeSmith describes descending through the “floors” of the mind — each one filled with old projects, fears, and forgotten memories — and learning how to bring order to the chaos. From gang life and trauma to rebuilding through faith and prayer, this episode reveals what it looks like to turn pain into structure, and disorder into peace. If your thoughts ever feel overwhelming or you’ve struggled to find clarity in your past, this episode offers perspective, hope, and a gentle reminder:“You don’t have to stay stuck in your head. You can organize what’s within you — one memory at a time.”Send us Fan MailSupport the show🎙️Thanks for listening to The Time Smith✉️Join the Mission: https://linktr.ee/TheTimeSmith🔔Subscribe and leave a review to help more people find this message.Forged in thought. Lesson 12: Simplify
This season has been raw and real — filled with anger, confusion, trust, and even the violation of trust. Every lesson shared has been a look inside the forge, where memories and experiences are refined into clarity and strength. But behind every story, there’s also the challenge of reliving it.In “Simplify,” The Timesmith brings it all together. He shares how dysfunction can be lived through, how numbness can be unlearned, and how peace can be found in the midst of chaos. More importantly, this episode is a reminder that brokenness doesn’t have the final word.If you’ve followed along this far, thank you. Season 1 may be complete, but the journey of healing and clarity continues.Remember: ✨ If you feel unloved, you are loved. ✨ If you feel lost, you can be found.Welcome to the end of one season — and the foundation of what is next.Send us Fan MailSupport the show🎙️Thanks for listening to The Time Smith✉️Join the Mission: https://linktr.ee/TheTimeSmith🔔Subscribe and leave a review to help more people find this message.Forged in thought. Lesson 11: Trust after Trauma
Have you ever buried a part of yourself so deep that you couldn’t even find it? In this 10th lesson, The Time Smith explores the hidden depths of trust—how it breaks, how it hides, and how it can be rebuilt after trauma. From a pivotal night in 1997 to a near-death experience, and ultimately being uprooted from home, this episode journeys through the emotional terrain of being forced to grow up too fast. This is more than a story—it’s an invitation to reflect:Can you trust your own decisions?Do you still trust others with your truth? And what happens when you finally start to?Through the dark halls of memory and the metaphorical sixth floor of the Forge, this episode confronts the vulnerability and power of trusting again—yourself, others, and even God.If you're healing, helping someone else heal, or simply trying to understand your own past, this one's for you. Remember: if you feel unloved, you are loved. If you feel lost, you can be found.🔨 I am The Time Smith.Send us Fan MailSupport the show🎙️Thanks for listening to The Time Smith✉️Join the Mission: https://linktr.ee/TheTimeSmith🔔Subscribe and leave a review to help more people find this message.Forged in thought. Lesson 10: Confession
Have you ever been haunted by something you never said — something that lingered, waited, pressed into your chest until it could no longer be ignored? This episode is about that moment. It's about confession — not to shame, but to heal.In this tenth lesson, The Time Smith walks you back into the forge — down the stairs, past memory, into the core of darkness — and reveals the moment he told his mother the truth about what had happened in his childhood. A secret kept for years, shaped by trauma, guilt, and fear, finally spoken aloud. This isn’t a story about blame. It’s a story about courage, timing, and reclaiming your voice. The hardest part wasn’t what happened — it was watching someone you love carry pain that wasn’t theirs. In this episode, you’ll hear:How unspoken trauma quietly shapes our livesWhy confession is a key to healing, even if it’s years laterThe emotional weight of protecting others from your painHow to speak hard truths with love, and strengthA reminder that telling the truth doesn’t make you weak — it makes you whole“I confessed it to God. I confessed it to my wife. But most importantly — I confessed it to myself. And that’s where the healing began.”If you’ve held back because you didn’t want to hurt someone... If your silence has protected others but punished you... If you’re afraid to speak because you think it’s too late...This episode is for you.And if no one’s told you today: You are loved. Lesson 8: Identity
Have you ever been lost in your thoughts? A random memory comes back and you’re not sure where it came from. Often, it’s your past—unfinished, unresolved, unspoken. In this episode of *The Time Smith*, we explore the deeper layers of **identity**: how it’s shaped, mislabeled, and ultimately reclaimed. Using vivid imagery of rooms, floors, and memory-laden hallways, The Time Smith invites you into the forge of his own mind—a place where chaos was once the norm, but order was created out of necessity. This episode is both a journey and an invitation to reflect on your own inner world. 🛠️ In this episode: - What happens when our identity is shaped by insults, labels, or silence - Why journaling, structure, and principles are key to survival - A metaphorical walk through the “junk drawer” of the mind - How siblings, childhood nicknames, and isolation impact our self-worth - How faith, memory, and grace can rebuild what was nearly lost > “Maybe you believed the lie. Maybe you've been living in names that aren’t yours. But what do you say about yourself?” This isn’t just about the past—it’s about mastering the test, speaking with intention, and standing on something solid. Because identity is more than memory—it’s how you move forward. 🪓 Step back into the forge. Find the door marked *identity*. Open it. Lesson 7. Balance: Twilight
Welcome back to The TimeSmith. I’m glad you’re here. If you’ve been following along, you’ll know that in our last lesson, we confronted darkness—not just as something to fear or run from, but as something to step into with awareness, intention, and truth.Today’s lesson is balance. If there’s darkness, what counters it? Light—not just its opposite, but its remedy. This episode explores the deep mental and spiritual spaces we avoid, the loneliness we don’t admit, and the experiences that feel too personal or too painful to say out loud.We step into the forge once again—the place where transformation happens. Yes, it might resemble a dungeon. It might feel cold, empty. But I’ve learned not to fear loneliness. I don’t have to fill every space. And maybe neither do you.We talk about how we cope, how we process trauma, and how we live through what we don't always understand. I share a personal, spiritual experience—one I’ve held onto for years—about a night in my youth when I felt an invisible force torment me. The kind of experience that makes you question what’s real, what’s imagined, and what’s spiritual. That night, I learned something about balance. About the name that breaks darkness. About calling out light in the dark, not just hoping it shows up.This episode is about what it means to confront what’s broken in us without running. To speak honestly about trauma and still reach toward wholeness. It's also about not staying in those dark places forever. I don’t share these stories to be dramatic. I share them because someone out there might be going through something similar, and they need to know: you’re not alone. We dive into what it means to not just memorize truth but to live it. To stop hiding the most shameful parts of ourselves and instead, extract the lessons that can free us—and maybe even free someone else. You’ll also hear me speak about why I stopped trusting people at a young age. Why I started writing to God. And why, even now, I believe those memories were not just for me. They were lessons, not just wounds. So if you’ve been in a season of struggle, questioning your worth, or stuck in cycles you can’t seem to break—this episode is for you. If you’ve ever sat in your room in the dark wondering if anyone sees you, hears you, or understands—this episode is for you. And if you’re someone who wants to understand the mind, trauma, or healing at a deeper level—this is your forge too.Balance isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence. It’s about acknowledging both the shadows and the light—and choosing, intentionally, to walk toward the light when darkness feels overwhelming.Next episode, we’ll talk about identity. So if that topic speaks to you, come prepared. Research it, think about it, and bring your questions. I’ll bring my truth.Until then—if you feel lost, know you can be found. If you feel unloved, know you are loved.God bless you.I am The Timesmith.Send us Fan MailSupport the show🎙️Thanks for listening to The Time Smith✉️Join the Mission: https://linktr.ee/TheTimeSmith🔔Subscribe and leave a review to help more people find this message.Forged in thought. Lesson 5. Release
What do you do with the pain you can’t talk about? In this episode of The Time Smith, we go deeper into the lesson of coping—not through venting to others, but by exercising something more sacred: writing. Through powerful personal memories, Joseph revisits two defining moments in his life that taught him how to release pain onto the page when words failed him in real life. From a fifth-grade journal entry to a 16-year-old’s midnight letter to the desert sky, this isn’t just about processing trauma—it’s about reclaiming your inner voice when no one else is listening.🛠️ You'll hear:The difference between venting and healingWhy journaling can become your most private form of freedomHow silence, isolation, and unspoken thoughts can be transformedWhy writing isn’t just release—it’s resurrectionIf you’ve ever been stuck in your own head, this episode invites you to step down into your memory, pick up the pen, and let it out in a way that changes you.Because sometimes, the real breakthrough comes when no one else is watching.Send us Fan MailSupport the show🎙️Thanks for listening to The Time Smith✉️Join the Mission: https://linktr.ee/TheTimeSmith🔔Subscribe and leave a review to help more people find this message.Forged in thought. Before I found peace, I picked the wrong battles. Before I healed, I hid. Before I grew, I coped- just to survive. Alongside each lesson, a simple worksheet is being created: a prompt designed to help you reflect, think, and begin coping in healthier ways. This podcast is about pondering, thinking, and tinkering with thoughts—learning how trauma shapes the mind, how coping mechanisms form, and how they can be reshaped intentionally.Season Two will introduce six lessons focused specifically on tinkering with thoughts: understanding thought patterns, breaking loops, and developing coping strategies that support healing, resilience, and self-worth.You can find additional links, platforms, and worksheets by visiting Linktree and searching The Timesmith.Send us Fan MailSupport the show🎙️Thanks for listening to The Time Smith✉️Join the Mission: https://linktr.ee/TheTimeSmith🔔Subscribe and leave a review to help more people find this message.Forged in thought.
