Episode 11: Authentic Expression, Romanticizing the Everyday & Doing the Thing with Emily Shimwell

In this episode of Truth Be Told, I sit down with Emily Shimwell, founder of Dine Wilder, for a conversation on authentic expression, human connection, community, and what it really means to romanticize your life.Emily shares the heart behind the spaces she creates and why her work is rooted in feeling first, not just aesthetics. We talk about moving through the world in a way that feels honest and unapologetic, why community is something we actively build, and how the smallest everyday moments can become the most meaningful when we stop overcomplicating them. This conversation is a reminder to trust yourself more, care a little less about getting it “right,” or what other people think, and lean further into what makes you feel alive. In this episode, we talk about:authentic expression and what it really looks like in everyday lifebuilding real community beyond the buzzwordcreating spaces that foster belonging, safety, and connectionromanticizing the everyday and finding magic in the mundanedoing the thing before you feel fully readywhy feeling matters more than perfectionYou can find Emily at:Instagram: @_emily_wilder_  and @dine.wilderYou can find me @natassia_valliFollow along for updates and trailers @tbtpodcast_

In this episode of Truth Be Told, I sit down with intuitive reader, spiritual mentor, and author Kate Van Horn for a grounded conversation on intuition, ritual, and the spaces we live in.Together, we explore the relationship between our inner world and our outer environment, how the body, aura, home, and even digital spaces mirror what’s happening beneath the surface. Kate shares why decluttering is often the first and most important step in energetic shifts, not for aesthetic reasons, but as a way of grieving old identities, regulating the nervous system, and creating space to breathe. This conversation moves gently between the practical and the intuitive: from seasonal resets and simple rituals that support sensitive souls, to tarot as a roadmap rather than a prediction tool. Kate also offers insights on energetic hygiene, clearing stagnant energy, and why intuition becomes louder when we finally give ourselves room to hear it.In this episode, we explore:The connection between your inner world and your physical spaceDecluttering as a form of emotional and energetic releaseRituals that support intuitive living (without becoming performative)Tarot as a roadmap for embodiment and decision-makingNervous system safety, energy sensitivity, and clearing stagnant energySeasonal resets and preparing for what’s nextAbout Kate Van HornKate Van Horn is an intuitive reader, spiritual mentor, author of The Inner Tarot, and a guide for intuitive living.
