Starting her dance journey at the age of 5 it wasn't long before teachers, judges and critics noticed her amazing potential, her exceptional talent, her dance intelligence and her never give up attitude that saw her dominating at Local, State and National Championships which led her to pursue her career at only 15 years of age Internationally when Kahlia auditioned and was accepted into the English National Ballet School on a Scholarship.Upon returning to Australia at the age of 21 Kahlia became a studio owner/director and teacher of the Coast's first Elite Dance School and still continues to give back to the "Sport" she still has so much passion and love for. Jim was a country boy born in Tenterfield moving to Tamworth where he commenced his Footy career with the North Tamworth Bears. Jimmy played in the NSW Country and Northern Division and was signed by the Western Suburbs Magpies in 1980. His rookie year was outstanding at Club, Representative and a personal level. Under the guidance of the great Roy Masters he established himself in First Grade and was selected for City vs Country. He was also selected in the NSW side for the interstate series against Queensland, the Kangaroos tour of New Zealand and he was selected in the history making inaugural State of Origin game for NSW. He also won the Dally M Rookie of the year, the Dally M Lock Forward of the year and almost won the prestigious Rothmans Medal. Jim played in over 100 First Grade games during his Rugby League career over 8 seasons. Three seasons with the Magpies, three seasons with Canterbury Bulldogs and two seasons with the Cronulla Sharks. Jemma at only 26 years has a list of achievements that are just simply awe inspiring.Jemma has won 12 Australian Surf Life Saving titles (8 of these open titles)She was three times Surf Life Saving Australian, Youth athlete of the year and captained the Australian Youth Team twice. She has been World Youth Iron Woman, Ski and Board Champion and last year won the prestigious 2024 Coolangatta Gold. She was the first female to win two World Titles in in 2022 and 2023 in the Open Ski Racing and previously in 2019 she was the U23 World Champion. Jemma captained the 2019 Asian Pacific Kayak team in 2019.Jemma's an inspiration in and out of the water. She was dux of her year at the Central Coast Gramma School and is now a Mathematics and PDHPE teacher and she currently works at the NSW Institute of Sport as a Sprint, Kayak Coach as Part of the AIS gen32 Coaching Program. He has worked as an Aboriginal Education Officer for 27 years and is a National First Nations Academy Coach for the Sydney Swans and is an accomplished artist. Maurice also shares his story of how he escaped alive from war torn Jordan whilst on a study trip with Olympian Nova Peris in June 2025.
