The consequences can be mundane or grand but the ease of choice, the reduction of myriad possibilities into a pair, seems to fit neatly within our minds. Of course it’s been observed that often dyads exist on a spectrum. That the neat clean lines blur and mingle and that a middle space can be found and understood between concepts. Welcome to the World Via, your new favorite philosophy-adjacent podcast. This podcast is the brainchild of the creative minds behind Cabin Boy Minute Podcast. Our intimate analysis of that wonderful movie revealed to us that there’s a depth to the most minute things and a random topic such as coffee machines or bags of basmati rice can lead to a profound discussion about life and the universe. We came to realize that we could escape the confines of film media and turn to the world around us for inspiration. The belief of your hosts, Rob and Brian, is that with the holistic nature of the universe, much can be learned from any and every corner of it, and we seize the opportunity to grab the comet tail of randomness and eke order from it. Every episode, we will take on a different topic and discuss it in all its multitudes. We will attempt to see how far the rabbit hole goes and crawl back out, if we can.
