Why You Should Not Price Yourself At P500
How much do you value your time? The year is 2023, US$1 is equivalent to 55.25 Philippine Peso, and we are still asked to teach for P500? This was the same rate way back in 2010, and you are actually even lucky if you get this rate back then. After more than a decade and higher inflation, are we still in the mercy of gyms and studios giving us this rate, just because there are other yoga teachers taking it? What are the considerations for accepting this rate? How could we set boundaries and refrain from accepting this rate given our present situation? And why should you not accept group classes (GX) for P500 a class regardless of the headcount? Thanks to my friend and a seasoned GX and yoga teacher, Bea Tabunar for this 1st of 3 series talking about the state of yoga in the Philippine setting.
