This show is an inside joke

Pete and Kenny break down the latest NFL free agency moves and signings as well as preseason week oAren't an no chemistry having over the hill radio podcasts who just ride, no cult commentary. We actually got some fat. This is Touchdowns and Tangents. Your weekly spot for NFL takes topical tangents. And context for the culture. So tune in. Tune in because you never know if you're gonna get a take a tangent. But either way, I had a touchdown. What's up, good people? Touchdowns and Tangents here, your Thursday night spot for NFL takes topical tangents for the culture. I m p d Camrio and he is the captain. Now Kidd's right. Guys, See how we didn't hear that frantic shuffle If you picking the mic off the coach, that was nice reminding you of old time. It's called breath control. But yeah, man, we're on a take five here. Hopefully the computer doesn't stop recording for no reason in the middle of this, but if it does, you'll probably never hear this, so don't worry about it. But yeah, we are touchdowns at Tangents Touchdowns Attaches dot Com t d's underscore tages on Twitter and Instagram. It's been a it's been been a long week, but uh what are we gonna talk about Kenny. Been a long time, should have left you. You know the usual, Uh, preseason football was great. Football is getting close. It's officially to the preseason week ones behind us up yup. There with the Lions, Lions and forgetting who they're playing, there's the Lions and the Falcons. That preseason game got ended because oh yeah, that's probably they close it on Sunday, like was hit and he was unresponsive and they disagreed to those the Jets, I think it was lines Jets, and they disagreed to not finish the game. This is a preton game. It's like meaningless. A Jaguars kicker Cam Little kicked a seventy yard field goal and that was crazy, crazy work. They gotta give him ninety nine. You gotta give you if you kick a seventy yard field goal, you have to have ninety nine accuracy and kicking power. How about a Romania you do it through. The Chador effect fourteen to twenty three two TVs. Everyone's looking at him like a starter. He said he didn't. He felt like he didn't. He could have done better. He didn't take full advantage of the opportunity, which is sad that, Like, I don't like people who just want to like beat you down, to humble you because they think you didn't go through something. Yeah, because you don't know everyone story. And that's a black man in America. He's had it harder than pretty much all of you. Even if his daddy was rich, I don't care. Guess what. He don't have his daddy's speed, right, And it's not like he has Cam Newton arm or Josh Allen arm or even though Lamar Jackson level arm like he can make every throw, he's had to quote unquote humble himself. And it's funny that the owner of the Browns comes down to us, He's not our guys, not our pick, He's Andrew Berry's pick. That lets me know if this fails, Stefans, he's not getting fired, Andrew Berry is. And then they're gonna probably trade your door. And then the fact that you don't give him any first team reps and you just throw them out there because you want him to fail. It's an allegory about being a black man in America cause his children they always treat us as we're older than we actually are. And then when we become of age, they call us Wayians. They used to call us superpredators in the nineties. Now they're just saying whyans. That's why I don't use whyan. I'm like, that's a little bro, We're we're not playing. That game now. You see all the uncles, all the bold black dudes. What you're saying. But I feel like the younger generation caused the younger generations. No, but it's different, Like they twenty seven year old right now is calling the nineteen and twenty year olds whyans. But it's a different cultural connection for sure. It's like when boomers called us the millennials the laziest generation. Well yeah, it was like they're literally the laziest generation. The same thing. It's like, yeah, Millennials was kind of superjecting as a derogatory turn for so long, and then once Millennials got more spending power, it became more of a positive thing. I think that's kind of the same thing happening with gen Z toos, Like everyone just rolled their eyes take gen Z, but now. Just accepted like gend like, hey, so we watched how you did our older brothers and sisters and we ain't really here for that shit. And jin ALFHO really isn't here for you. Shit, that's why they're not that's they're not drinking. I mean, they're kind of doing drugs here and there, but they're really staying away from that because we saw what you know. That's why, Like when I look at rappers who brag about what they were in the nineties, I was like, so you sold drugs to kids, to women, to pregnant women, because some of you did. You sold drugs to kids. Creating a whole fucked up generation of kids that you didn't blame for all societal problems that you created. And then when we go back and realize you were a loser in the nineties, there were just no cameras around. It's kind of like some of the people who judge Shad Door and some of these younger quarterbacks and even like Tom Brady was talking about it, how like these kids are physically ready, but they're not mentally ready. Well, yeah, because look what the parameters are different, like the crucible with football and just in life in general. It's like, I think there's a general rational disconnect with these kids. They're not stupid, they don't have to do the things that we did that I think people are gonna look at millennials as like we were truly the noblest generation. We were. We were the noble we were, we were the original, we were the Boobie Miles, we were Moving Miles, we were Chris Comer, we were I don't think we were definitely moving bro, Facebook, Huh, We're one of the greatest generations. Deal, some of us were. Some of us never had a chance out the game. And you know that. You know that name a random wide receiver right now, jo Jo Vicious. See, only millennials do ship like that. But what I'm saying, like, what I'm saying is to kind of tie this to the point. I know he's not, but it's like when millennials in the media, the way we see him, we're not kicking his back end. Yeah, like Kenny Pickett sucked. I said, Kenny Pickett was trash watching him at the Senior Bowl, respectfully, like not even like, hey, bro, this dude is not. A franchise quarterback. He's just not. And he got little hands and he wears gloves and he couldn't even he was fumbling snaps at the Senior Bowl. They didn't show you that on TV, So It's like Joe Flacco's old as hell. His son came out and said he sucks. So I'm like, Dylan Gabriel's hurt. And to be honest, I've seen Dylan Gabriel get to the NFL defense. Go watch the Ohio State game. The second one. I think when I think about that comparison, that to me just kind of especially where I'm cook, it's like really just based off their performance because the reality is like context matters, Like you look at Shador and Dylan Gabriel, Like I think that's the perfect example of why context matters. Like on one hand, it's like Gabriel was one of the most productive quarterbacks in COUSE and on the other hand, he also kind of like Ring Chase and went to some of the biggest best programs with the Taylor to him versus you know, Shador. You know, he was a he wasn't he wasn't an unknown prospect, but he wasn't you know, all everything sort of prospect. Four star prospect coming out of solid prospect and most recruiting spaces had and. He chose to go to a lower level and he worked his way up to a bigger level, and his numbers got better every year, and he basically put the team on his back. So so it's like, you know, you. Can dice up those two players any way you want, But the reality is between the two matters, because if you just look at their numbers, you're gonna think one thing. If you just look at their traits, you're gonna think something else. But what development is is really kind of pulling those two things together at a new level consistently. It's because somebody was success by something in the past doesn't mean they're gonna be successful at it in the. Text really matters. Context tells you, Okay, it's just gonna apply, it's it's not gonna apply. So and I mean he he performed the best in that win against the Panthers. The examples of Guet was out here fist fighting people Panthers. Yeah, sure it was crazy. He low key mixing one. But yeah, receivers stuff socking each. Other like him with one. It's corney, Why are you punching people with your hands and you need your hands to catch Why not just go for the takedown at first? But the funny thing is to Tory McMillan is like, nah, he had some combinations in there. You gotta respect it. He does. I don't want to fight exa related with the way he talks. Bro's been in some fucking fights dog on one probably fucking no, just not even. All seven of them. A home he packed out seven people. He probably has, but the point is. Probably wrestling and bears Bro. He ran a four three nine and has country strength, and he's truth Carolina body of ad yes like chiseled granted four three nine, and he's trying to put it together as a receiver. I don't think he's really dead yet. I didn't think he should have been the first round pick, just pished, what's up on the board. But they got to Tory McMillan, so it kind of works out because you got speed and possessionals got feeling like their offense is kind of shaping up. They said Renfro looks good too. Yeah, Toy McMillan is nice though, like that man, I think that's like that's he's like a faster, more agile. I wanted Renfro to go there last two years, not only because of the Clemson connect, but just because that lower center of gravity I think is gonna help Bryce this year. Having a kind of a security blanket where you can just kind of throw a low ball. You doesn't have to worry about it getting picked off and refro can just you kn

Kenny and Pete break down the latest free agency moves, college football media days and more. Catch it hear and on touchdownsandtangents.com.Aren't y'all tired? No chemistry over the podcasts, which is just right comment we actually got. This is the touchdown tangency your week. We spot our NFL takes topical tangency and context for the coach cult. So tune in, tune in because you never know if you're gonna get a make. But either way, Away had the touchdown down. What's up, good people? Touchdowns and tangs Here Hawthorne, California, your NFL spot for topical takes tangents for the culture. I am P. T. Camrio, I'm Kenneth Frankly James Berry. And we are on the second take of this. Hopefully there's no power issues this time around. But football's back. Kenny Hall of fameame just passed Bons Chargers. Trey Lance went out there and got the start. Harbaugh was firing up before the game went out there, made some plays. They pretty much dog walked the Lions. Jerry Goff threw a pick. Everyone on social media overreacted. Look at golf without Ben Johnson, et cetera, et cetera. Antonio Gates made his acceptance speech before other guys got in, solling on man, how you feeling? How you feeling about football being back. I'm happy mostly just for this year. Fact of like high school and college are back and alight at a certain point, like once you look back in high school and realize that's the last time you were innocent, You're like, I just want the best for these kids. And you know, like with football, injuries are gonna happen. Somebody's gonna have the best year of their life, somebody's gonna have the worst shit of their life. And it's all tied in. We're all living this shit together, and you factor, and you know, we're all experiencing football in different aspects of our lives. So it ended up to be a pretty fun year. I mean, the year's almost over already, we're already in August. It's crazy, though, do you get the faster than about to go by? This shit is crazy. Could have warned us, They could have warned us. They told us, But I don't really think they warned us. It's more like they just said, all right, you'll see when you're older. Hey, that's not funny because I see it now that I'm older and my back hurts. Yeah. Man, Ultimately, it's great that football is back. I wanted to go to the Raiders camp this past weekend, but had a game, so I didn't make it. But Chargers having a bunch of open practices. Rams have had a bunch of practices. Cowboys been fucking around and Oxen and heard. But yeah, man, it's just all around a good time right now, buzz in the air. High schools are starting back up, starting to feel like fall. Most importantly, how Thorn to Lindale. We'll be playing at so far well the first time ever. Yeah's cool. August August twenty first, I don't give it shit it I hope Lindelle don't get blown out. But oh my god, oh for people who grew up in the city, I might cry that day. I might have figure out how to get some media credentials because I gotta be on the field interviewing people. They gotta have me out there. I was. I was there during the history of this rivalry, the heart of it. But yeah, I'm excited. I'm more excited about college in high school than the pros because the NFL is inevitable. I feel like the Passing League and Summer League that was just that felt like that was forever. What do you think about the virtual measurement stiff, like the Raiders are gonna somehow get hold. Yeah, but I only saw like one clip of it. What kind of corantine, But it's too early to tell because we just rolling out like this is really the test season. Yeah for sure. Now if they if it goes Haywire gets screwed up in a playoff game, Yeah, that can't happen. So just petting money, no comment, No, I know you probably can't talk about it, but yeah, man, that's the situation. NFL offices in New York. Basically some dude who was originally from California played high school football basically targeting. The I thought it was Santa. Clarita something like that, but his coach was like his former coaches like the Hills. Yeah, so versions pretty much. Yeah, he's targeting in the NFL because he feels like he had CT from all his years playing high school and youth football. Blackstone CEO also got somebody at Blackstone, like I guess, like an investment firm that like buys up. Yeah, pretty much. This building has some of the top heads funds, financial officers. Et cetera. In this office. So basically ran up in there, held himself hostage and took his own life and four others with him. So it's just all around a sad situation. Should really just a reminder that in this country, it's like it doesn't matter where you go, whether it's school, work or you know, anywhere else, concert, movie, et cetera. Like some bullshit could happen, some tragedy. It's sad. It sucks. No, it sucks for you because you're close to. It's nothing new either, so it's just sad. With that on a water note, I guess we can turn to college football. Now before I play another interview? Should I should just wait? Ah? Like I wait, some things did happen, Like I said, at least for high school, Lowndale and Hawthorne High will be playing out so far it should be for the Mayor's Cup, but who knows. They for some reason Malondock gets as well as they discontinuate because Lindel technically was never involved with the Mayor's Cup. But it's like, we're right there and we were clapping hot thornch cheeks every time he played them. Now after I graduated and we left, that's a whole different story. But that's gonna be great, Like you got the East LA Classic to have more local high school teams playing at so far is going to be awesome. Truly excited for it. Now. College football, DJ wing guard per Due offensive lineman who I think potentially could be making like upwards of two hundred thousand dollars in IL money. He sued the n double A because they he thought he had actually eligibility left and they told him he didn't. So now like he's still and he's some One of the reporters asked him, like, how acs Lincoln, how is he holding up? And he's like it's not good because like this could be the end of his college career. You know. I think he had like some COVID time like certain things where he's legally supposed to have the year, but there are provisions and some of the rules that might prevent that. And he's supposed to be their starting center I think at USC this year. So that's kind of up in the air. Also, just talks of intense and kind of heat it up with more schools, especially the Carolina schools North Carolina, all them. Potentially leaving to go to the Big Ten. That's that's weird, how that like those talks kind of heat it up, but we kind of don't stand by, so we'll see what happens. Also, Warrence Taylor being on the sports committee and not even knowing why or what. We started. Taylor, like, we get it, bro, you ran like a four to three. You're a fast linebacker, but you got a weird history with women. Dog. I don't care how good of a past rusher you were. You got a weird history of women. Little girls like you. You're kind of my Carl alone category. Like old heads like Launch Taylor. I'm like, you mean a dude that keep getting caught with underage girls, and y'all that's your hero, that's your friend. All right, all right, the old generation hit pedophiles pedophiles for a while. The old generation were pedophiles. Let's be real, a lot of them were pedophile and contone, you didn't maybe you didn't fuck a little kid, but you sure did fuck some young person's life up. Probably we could have that discussion all day. We could just look at the job market for young people. We could just look at I don't know, the journalism field and all the people who ended up leaving it for various reasons. But you know, some of these older professors don't have those conversations. You just say you're not working hard enough, and it's like you wouldn't have made it in today's time period, so shut your hats up. But that's a whole nother story. Again. I blame all. I blame all the boomers and the old people for the decayed of society because we were kids, y'all were adults when this shit was happening, Which is weird because like Triple H and them, funny that not one black person there because Lawrence Taylor wasn't in some of those pictures, but Triple H who they rein. They re institute at the presidential fitness test, which the president himself would fail at. And Triple AH can't do it because he did all those steroids early in his life, which is probably why he had the heart attack to begin with, because he was definitely on Gear and other ship because stock Scott Steiner infamously said, if getting drug tested, Triple A just is getting drug tested with me or just neither others is getting drug tested. And guess what he got drug tested. That's what Gear does. That's ladies and gentlemen, that's why you don't do all this weird ship to your body. But somehow Paulovek, who had a heart attack and can no longer even wrestle, probably can't even like raise his voice too much because you know, heart issues. He's gonna somehow make kids healthier again. These poor kids, they just just we have the stupidest adults in charge. Yeah, that's a real thing. The Presidential Fitness Test. They're bringing that back. So I guess start CrossFit training your kids or whatever weird shit y'all be doing out here. Takeaways from media day. You're gonna play some interviews or what? Oh yeah, sure I will play a little some sung Uh it's gone from Big ten. I'm sure my WiFi is actually connected. What happened last time? Hey, did you turn on the thing? I mean it should be and hm I connected out again? Connected to someone's iPhone. I connected to my iPad Loki. Yeah, So interviewed a lot of all the coaches ship, so you just gonna have to play it all right, So interviewed a bunch of players and coaches. So I'll start with Damn Lanning. There we go. I heard something I'm just watching. I wasn't knowing I

Stuck between a barstool and a desert bust station

Kenny and Pete break down Mountain West Media Day and all the NFL Free Agency updates. Catch it here and on touchdownsandtangents.com.Hey, you out there there. I want some. I want some co hos who actually. You can tell that they. Actually have some time of chemist. You're going on, Hey. Cloud Chasation, that's cool. I actually got to have something in mind for you. So keep listening you'll find out out. This is a Touchdowns and Tangents, your weekly spot or NFL takes culturally conciseed tangents and in context. For the coaches. What's up, good people? Touchdowns and Tangents? Back here Sunday Night Special Edition. Been off a few weeks, recharging, getting work done, doing what we do on PD camerio, and he is, can't it been? Yeah, A lot of the ship has happened in the past few weeks. NFL training camps are now in session. I believe almost all the camps are in session. I think either by Monday because the last day, but right now it's mostly rookies and camp veterans are slowly reporting. Drove by the boat the other. Day that shit was cracking. They had a line all the way around the corner. But overall, that's in the past few weeks. A lot's happened. A lot of people got paid, somebody retired, he's already out for the year. Yeah, it's kind of crazy. Where do you want to start. Well, the Jets, actually, well today the Chiefs. They locked up George Carloftus on like a four year, ninety two million dollar contract. Sheesh. Let's see the Jets paid. Sauce Gardener, who I think he got like four years one hundred and thirty five million, and Gary Wilson got like four years, like one hundred twenty million or. Something like that. Yeah, he's not ninety million guaranteed, Wilson did. So you lock up both your two first round picks, your cornerstone pieces, your best corner, your best receiver. You know, you got Justin Fields. TJ. Widde up more money than his brother ever got his whole career. Yeah, four years, one hundred and twenty three million. Three I thought it was three years, one hundred and twenty three million. It's the most ever for a Deefson player. Yeah, I think that's right. Uh, Let's see who else got locked up. Well, it wasn't the Lions. Mike Williams retired, which was cutting out the big story this week. Many people thought he was going to come back. He had resigned with the Chargers, after two seasons away, people were kind of looking at him as that deal number two receiver across from mccuckie. But yeah, what do you think any I know, we had some jokes, but serious seriousness. Dude broke his neck and came back to school. Still ended up being the first round pick and played eight years, had two one thousand yard receiving seasons, and when he was healthy, he was a legit deep threat who was out here making herculean catches because his qbs. Qbs were gonna knock the hell out in games, and he was really stretching out for the ball thirty yards downfield getting blasted sometimes. I mean, yeah, Herbert's a good QB, but like sometimes you throw your receiver into a hospital bed. We don't talk about that enough that qbs are like really leaving the receivers all right, Other niggas that's been going on this week. There's been some new Jersey reveals. I know, everyone was kind of making jokes about the Chargers saying they got that mustard yellow, they got that big bird testame Street three. Andrew Whitworth compared it to when the Browns last word. Yellow in that Super Bowl run where they lost. Well, yeah, what do you what do you what did you make of some of the uniforms that you saw this past week? Charge the Saint drop uniforms to the Chargers once were cool. I like the Navy helets. I'm glad they finally got those bags. Yeah, the Chargers can really get in their bag when they want to. Everybody else is like, you're not just you're not really revealing in the uniform. It's just an alternate that you could probably wear this year. So it's like it's rare somebody changed it, Like the Saints didn't really change up their whole uniforms game. It's still black and gold, you know, but it is what it is. And shout out to Donnica Sue this she retired last week, called it the career. I think after what thirteen seasons something like that. Yep, and the chip and he said I should have been paying more than Matt Stafford since I was drafted before. I was the next first round pick A lot of time. Oh pro damn near won the Heisman. Seventy one, act should have won the Heisman. Got screwed by Texas and the reps, and. I think I'm black balled out the League for a little bit, for sure, because teams didn't want to pay him. They didn't want to pay him teammate or anything. Yeah, he actually did exactly what you wanted him to do, which is be a Offens's worst nightmare, and you got mad when he crashed out. All right, you want to move on to college football? Wow? Yeah, one thing the Commander signed von Miller. I was obviously saving that for a touchdown and turnover. I didn't know that, all right, Yeah, let me uh, let me play some stuff. So I was at. I was at Mount West Media Day in Vegas this past week. I talked about what I'll say, what happened to me on the way. Back on my. But at the pleasure of interviewed a bunch of Mount West coaches and players. I'm not gonna play all the interviews because it's a lot of interviews, but place some poortant ones, like first new coming coach into the Mount West for Freendsnoe State, Matt dis He was formerly the head coach at North Dakota State. He took a linebacking coach job at. SC last season, and now he's the head coach at Fresnoe State. So here's about here's a conversation I had with him second ship. It's not let me connect, that's who mm hmm, it's broadcast Kenny. That on. H right now it right o. Be connected? Coach? Good? Good? How how's it been now. You go from a USC now you're a friend of state. How's the field being a full time head coach? Again? It's been good? Uh. You know there's a different demands, you know, when you're an assistant coach or a coordinator, you have this is your process weekly. When you're a head football coach, it's a little bit different, but it's been It's kept me busy, that's for sure. Trying to make sure from a staff standpoint, from recruiting, fundraising, you know, there's a lot of irons in the fire. These days, but keeps the energized. That keeps you moving every day and there's something to get done. And we're only but surely continue to improve. Obviously, you know, since you're familiar with the California market, I was recruiting band. How is it you know. When you see guys we're going to be from Juco just high school kids and maybe one another the radar, how is it? You know, handling this recruiting base at Fresnel State. Well, we were a little bit behind going into the class of the class of twenty six, you know, because we got in you know, part way. But I think we've done a really good job to pain traction in the state of California. I believe having been at USC the previous year gave me some contacts, gave me some people that I could lean on, that I could trust through this process and kind of understanding how West Coast recruiting is different than Midwest recruiting, where I spent the majority of my career. So, you know, I think the experience. At USC was tremendous, you know, for me, especially as I took a head coaching job on you know, the West coast here. But our staff does a great job. I think high school coaches, I think high school administrators are super excited and that Fresno State is emphasizing the State of California education program on campus. So it seems like wherever I go, whatever high school I visit, there's either a teacher, there's an administrator that has a Fresno State degree, and I know those people are super excited to see the red and white backun buildings. As a feel known like you still can lean on you know, North Capron State, just all your Midwest ties. Well, we've tried to do that a little bit. If you look at our recruiting class, you look at some of the recruits that we brought in in the class of twenty five, you'll see young men from Chicago, young men from Omaha. You know, we'll have a little bit of a Midwest flair. But again it's we're Fresno State, the Ford, Paul, the v It's a national brand. And so I think we can utilize those areas. As secondary and I'm gonna repeat secondary recruiting areas with our primary area being the state of California. How the alumni based kind of reached out to you, tapped in and just let you know, okay. You know, one of the things that we've tried to create when we got when I say we are staff and myself on campus is a former players you know, organization, and we call it the BFL. It's something that's kind of grown some legs of its own and rapidly expanding. But we want our former players, we want them to know that they're the foundation of our program. We wouldn't be where we are without them. We've got them back to practice. We had a spring tailgate. We'll have a couple of different functions during the season. We have a coffee with the coaches during fall camp where we invite just former players back to come to practice, to watch and to see. You know, within about one hundred mile radius of Fresno, there's four hundred former players. We want those players to know that they're still an integral part of what we do and who we are. And for asking like Gingry, he talked about how much like I'm an impact you had. We talk about a man. Eric. So when you look this linebacker group, the d L group, Corey former was you look at the defense, how juiced up where they were? You know when you first got to meet them. I don't know if you know, I don't know how juice stuff. They were hurt, but hopefully they were excited to know that, Uh, you know, they had a head coach that had defensive background. I think having been at USC, you know, I know that there's a lot of conversation Eric Gentry and Corey. Eric Gentry and DJ Lafitte, who's a former sc player. Eric knows a lot of the guy

Kenny and Pete break down the latest NFL news including Jaire Alexander and Shaqil Griffin. They also dive into the latest rap, nba trade controversies and more. Are you tired of the same mold sports media? Are you tired of hot takes, argument and questions that are just completely off ba. Luckily we have something for you. Touchdowns and Tangents of the People, for the people, by people who care about the culture, commentary, some good people, Hawthorne, California. Here it's p D. Camrio, Kenneth Frank, James Berry. We are Touchdowns and Tangents your Thursday night spot for NFL Takes, Topical Tangents, Touchdowns and Tangents dot Com t D's Underscore Tangents, kenn Even what the fuck going on tonight? Shout out to everybody who's made it another week. We know the world to other shit, but you still got to live like like you gotta go to work tomorrow, even if we're in the middle of an apocalypse, even if your core keeps cutting on every time you do it exactly when you notice it ain't stop shit And I did it. Yeah, man, it was a slow news week, but that's because we're in the middle of the dead off season. Like it's gonna pick back up in two weeks. Sure, training camps start in less than thirty days and Media Media Day for college football starts in July. I'll be in Texas for Big twelve media day the eighth and the ninth, might get there seventh, I don't know. Probably just going to try to get there that morning because I don't need to spend the day. Before or five more time. And it was just that, Yeah, I'd be in Texas for a week. But whatever. Shout out to the shoutout Tuck was pretty Thunder for winning the NBA championship. Is really shitty that Halliburton popped his achilles towards Achilles, But honestly, see how they make sure of the villain. If you're not being enough of a villain. How do how do you make the league MVP the villain when he has no criminal record? He got traded on Draft night. This is all Paul George's fault. If you want to blame anybody for Halliburton's injury and everybody who popped the achilles, this is all Paul George and his stupid ass podcast fault. You can literally blame the Thunder winning a championship on Paul George, Draymond Green and who else you want to name the Mavericks, the Dallas Mavericks, You know and the Spurs, you know, Adam Silver because the Spurs getting all this talent they set up capital. Was on the floor every time Dame Justin or Jason Tatum yep, and like like three other dule toward their achilles. I think he was on the floor when. Yeah, and he's not He's not ever beating the Chargers. After they did that prayer game six and his eyes rolled in the back of his head. That shit was kind of demonic, bro, Like, you're never beating those allegations. And you the. Crazy thing is they took that man off the floor and he had zero files in game seven, I'd be like, that's the time he get ejected. Bro. Shout out to O'Connell. Though that kid put that dude balled out. He earned himself a fat pay day down the line. I'm not evenna lie. I didn't even watch any of the NBA playoffs that the Clippers lost, we know, but a former Race said they said Game six was one of the most watched games ever. But they also said at the beginning of the series, like the first two or three games were like some of the lowest watch ever. And it didn't help that the NBA had a fucking sail in the middle of the finals with the Lakers finally admitting their broke boys and selling to Proteck, the group that owns the Dodgers, which was big news out here in LA for sure, just because man La Laker fans finally admitted that the family money was holding them back, but they just weren't. I think it's good for the Lakers though overall. But so when Lebron becomes partner, you had that, and then somebody else got traded. It's been bang got traded during the finals. Somebody else got traded to. Porzingis got traded to the OKD got traded during the finals. Yeah, I mean yeah, so that's wild. And Porzingia's got traded like the dead after to the to the can't get out of its own damn way. Looky, the Hawks are kind of nice with that roster. They have now that for like four years. No, but like they actually look like we've been saying that for like four years. But they're the Hawks. The Hawks. They just find a way to be the Hwks bro the expectations. I got a homie from the Nabjo's been binging the table for the Hawks for like five years, Bro, stop stop hitting the table. So they're gonna be No, they're not. If they didn't do ship after they won like seventy games or sixty nine games one year and Kyle kover shipped the bed in the playoffs, it's never happening, Atlanta Hawks, It's never happening. Dominique wilkins son looks like the truth. Though Dominic Wilkins can say whatever he wants. He was at one point some jamming bro at one point his son was. At one point Dominique. Is like head over the fucking rim, just fucking jamming on ship Bro, like fucking sixteen bro. At one point, crazy Dominique Wilcoms was better than what people well, he's what BRONI, He's what. People want Brownie to be. Brownie was never even that athletic exactly, and it's only like sixty six and ship. Bryce is more athletic than Bronnie, and everybody's saying Bryce won't even make it, which is crazy because I remember the dick eating like and everybody was like, you know, Brownie's gonna be. Brownie has a better offensive bag. I know Bryce is a better offensive bag than Brownie. It's not even close he does. It's not even close. So I'm like, why are y'all sating? Y'all went from just because he's walking on at Arizona when he probably could have got a skylarship anywhere else. The kick but some of the some of these just top flat propects out of high school. Don't listen like you're really not that guy. Go to like the Big West and become the greatest player in school history in the Big West, and then you become that guy. Let's just look at Halliburnen bro going and trying to be a twelfth man in Arizona, get no burn, and then you transfers some white bitch. Wow, that was a lot. I mean, I wasn't gonna go straight to just white bitch. I was gonna say just a thought. But you know, wow, my bad, Like you jump the gun. No, you just jump the gun like you don't start a white bitch. You just say, oh, you're gonna get pregnant by a thought and she got more money than you, and then you're just gonna be that broke boy. You're just gonna be like yeah, yeah, yeah, you'll change. Like we know what's Brodley's most viral moment, you'll change fake. That's his most of our moment, not him being on the court with his father and then never anything mean, y'r chang fake. But anyway, Dominie Wilkins at one point was better than Jordan from what the old heads tell me. He was that crazy. He was that like he was He's going head to head with Jordan at one point, like that's that's what I've heard. That's Cannon apparently with the old doc with old I think this is a thirty for thirty on Dominique Wilkins too. But yeah, he just he was like Paul George, but with way less flash he wasn't. No, Paul George was nowhere near as nice as a Dominique Wilkins. And I didn't forget about all that shit y'all talking about Kobe and what Trace McGrady said and Jim Jones. I'm just holding my anger and vitory all towards the end of the show. This is gonna be a very peaceful opening to the show. But let's get back to football, because you know we talked that's what touchdowns intense it is. Aaron Rodgers said he's gonna retire. This is gonna be his last season. This is it. No, Michael Jackson, Like, this is literally it for him, and at forty two and twenty one years in, I mean, it would be crazy if he let them to a playoff. Birth. I just think it's dumb that he's doing this whole last Dance thing because it's like signing the last Dance bro. It's like the Paul Pierce retirement tour. Yeah, that wasn't even though he is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, he's top five exactly what it is, he's top five. I just think, what if they actually get closed, Like what if they actually do make it to the second or third round of the playoffs and he can go out with his head with his head one year with Pittsburgh, that's it. Like, had one of the best seasons in Jets history. You're twenty eight touchdowns and eleven paces. I'm saying a lot for J's QB history. Twenty eight and eleven. I'm not saying that's bad now when I say that, Okay, but when I say that and you're like, Joe name is one of the greatest ever, No, he wasn't. Literally not he was. He's literally not. He's running back literally came back against one of the greatest raider teams ever. That's cool, that's cool, that's cool. He earned the spot Hall of Fame. One of the greatest played right now. Also, the quarterbacks have to do kind of a lot less, now, can we be honest? You just got to get the He's not better than Jim Plunket. Let's really talk about it. Let's know, let's get that ship on the floor. You're not gonna tell me Joe Naming is better than Jim Plunket. You're smoking crack, my boy? Did you so? Jim Plunkett just doesn't ever to be in the Hall of Fame, alright? Cool? I ever said that? Man, I never said that. I'm just saying now, people, I'm saying you were the You're the main person that I know who was ready to flare ship up and kicks ship off at every tailgate over Jim Plunking now being in the Hall of Fame, and it's just weird now. Be in the Hall of Fame. He better than johnamon I mean, we gotta stop gashing. Brett Farve was better than Joe Namath. I mean, statistically, maybe no better, was I don't know what the fucking jets. I think you need to understand, Joe. That's like wearing the Michelin Star with fucking McDonald's. You know what I'm saying, that's like winning a fucking Michelin star. McDonald's better than Cam Newton. What are you talking about Cam Newton? What I'm saying, if you're playing Cam Newton, probably Cam Newton won. An m v B Great Player m v P. No, he was fucking mid. He was like worse

No Vienna Sausages at the Graduation Party: TDT 06/12/25

Kenny and Pete talk about the latest in NFL free agency and why the Bengals have beef with every one. Don't bring vienna sausasges to graduation parties. Catch it here and on touchdownsandtangents.comAre you tired of the same old sports media? Are you tired of hot takes. Arguments and questions that are just completely off base? Luckily we have something for you. Touchdowns and Tangents of the People, for the people, by people who care about the culture and all concise commentaries. It was good. Everybody can bear another episode. Touchdowns at Tangents to my left, get that ship up, man, some of my little eight year olds bring it in, bringing in, bringing in. Uh yeah, I laid it up for you to pretty much. You know you're all album this episode. Anyways, this is a Touchdowns at Tangents. Whose graduation We got a graduate? Uh to me? My brother graduated, Philip graduated. Shout out to him. So I'm through through it. Salute to you man, got all of them. Through anyways, Thank you. Uh yeah. Touchdouns at Tangents your Thursday night spot for NFL takes, Topical Tangents, TD's underscore Tangents on Twitter and Instagram. Touchdowns at Tangents dot Com. Not too busy of the week, but some shit actually did happen, like I don't know, the Raiders finally got competent linebackers. Shit was crazy. The Bengals aren't war with themselves with another first round pick. Yeah, man, how do you feel about that? He just kind of called out the organization. He hasn't even signed his first contract, and he mentioned Trey Hendrickson's deal, which is a no go, so you know, he's a rookie. You know though, you at a point, but I think we should say, Joe, well you brought it up, so now we're gonna say that to the end. Anyways, what else we gonna talk about? Well, some people got inducted until some Hall of Fames, Edelman. I think Bill Parcells and Edelman are going into the Patriots Hall of Fame. We also. A couple of guys for the Vikings are getting inducted, and. I forgot the other one, but great reported shut up. No, I mean mostly just certain guys aren't coming too Mini Camp GJ. Watt. Yeah, that's really been the story. There's really just the three holdouts TJ. Watt, Trey Hendrickson, and the third person, Scary Terry Claron for the Commanders, all three of them in the last year of a deal using the show up. And you can't really blame either one of them because they finally gave him a wide receiver and he had like fourteen touchdown catches in over a thousand yards and they got to the Nancy Title game. He just gave scary Terry, who wasn't even the first round pick. If you just gave him a competent quarterback and built up the defense a little bit, look what happens. So yeah, yeah, you trade for Deebo. And honestly, Deebo Samuel's looking fat as hell. Bro, I ain't gonna lie. I'm not even being a hater boy looking like a he's looking like a fullback who can play running back. Is looking like every bit of a gadget player, like moonlighting as a receiver. He's looking kind of heavy. It's weird to see. Somebody called him the black Kyle Juice check and I was like, damn, But yeah, he's the best receiver you have. He's really the best player in your offense outside of Jayden Daniels. So they the commanders need to pay him and quit playing around and Henderson all principals shouldn't, you know, he shouldn't show up till he gets paid either. Because he's the leading the sack leader for two he's in a row. He you know, the Bengals have to sing or they don't want to pay players. Again, it goes right back to that first round pick situation, so we're just gonna leave the entire Bengals. Yeah. I don't get that whole Bengals thing because I feel like they have fans. I feel like people go to the games. Even when they were shitty, they always went to the games. So it's like, I don't understand whether their ownership is so bad. Like you're in a position to be the best you've ever you you just the best era of Cincinnati Bengals football ever, and look what you're doing, So you know, it's to me, it's kind of crazy, like these holdouts are real for people, and you still got free agents out there who are lingering so well, since Aaron Rodgers is off the market, that pretty much like what does Kirk Cousins do. Yeah, I was gonna say that because everyone's been talking about how his trade market is just pretty much dead. So I mean, I think wherever the first injury is, there's an opportunity. Same thing for like the Giants quarterbacks, which everyone falls to third is probably gonna get cut. Yeah, I forgot the Patriots are unveiling Tom Brady's statue. And about that. That's crazy. Wild between him owning part of the Raiders and having a statue, that's crazy, just like Charles Whitson being INA's. Ringing on it but. From Ohio. Yeah, and his son got an offer from Michigan. Crazy. Oh yeah. The biggest one. Speaking the defensive backs, Marvin Harrison fucking hype. No no, no, no, no, no, no no no. That's all the fucking Aaron Rodgers CLS commercial b ro. That's why os they slowed that ship down. They're like, this ship looks perfect for US commercial and they put the Seas commercial. On it and I was like, this shit actually does work perfectly. That'd be a hell of a rollout. Everyone's just been fucking drooling over Marvin Harrison Junior. It's discussing he is jack. It's his dad got him in the lab but said. You're just gonna have the big body because you got a short quarterback who's gonna be throwing the hell Mary balls to you him as well. Tyler says he's hoping for his best year every year. So this is finally the one. Speaking of players that franchises, are frustrated with the Packers finally cut college football. That's what how do you believe? Damn we can talk about that, right's football out? You think I just have college football and was off the top of my head, you do, that's literally your thing. I'm mad you do a little bit. So they passed the Supreme Court pasted it. The two point was eight point two billion. It's just you know, I think it's like two point eight billion dollars were of back pay for people who didn't get money off the name and just likeness. And I think it's twenty I think it's like twenty nineteen. They start twenty sixteen and up DJ Williams who went to you, which those dudes in the nineties really got to shut the hell up, because bro, y'all all got paid under the table. Shut up. You hated those generation after you, or you got caught giving money to the generation after you, and then when it like three generations after you sucked, you stopped supporting them. It's like if you had built something, had you had built a stronger fellowship with the younger cats after you, regardless of what the record was on the field, then y'all would be able to just launder money to each other. But no, it was holes, clothes and fast cars, all types of dumb shit for all those two thousands late two thousands players in the league. Let's be real, and y'all were y'all collective bar getting skills. Weren't that great. So what this pretty much means is now all these schools are launching saying yes, we are gonna fully pay are athletes with this nil money from this particular fund. UNLV rolled some stuff out. A bunch of schools are rolling stuff out when us he's already doing their thing. And I think for the new video games, about twenty six schools are gonna get paid and like more money. Based on how many times their schools used in the game. Greats, some more data tracking and more micro transactions school fuck you, Yeah, and then more and more there you go, uh and then more players are are were talked about it and reported, but more players are getting paid, like twelve hund more than twelve hundred. Now they were only gonna get like sick. They're getting paid more money for the game and likeness and all that stuff. But with all the skins that they're probably gonna have. Yeah, and if cats own logos and all that. There's so much money to be had if only the schools taught kids to you know, create corporations and businesses instead of treating their education like a corporation in the business, but as fucked so. But anyway, that was someone closet. Yeah, very good. I was just giving a summation of really, like the help most of our childhoods. I agree, I'm just saying it didn't. We're not starting that Trump. It's ship blame Bush. I blame Bush for everything and people. I feel like we don't boo him a nag, but yeah, I mean, yeah, definitely Reagan, but like we don't blame Bush enough. We just call him a gulible idiot and oh he owned the Rangers fucked man. Yeah, this kind of connects back to George Bush because like they tried to get years ago, they tried to get presidents former presidents to back this this build of legislation to try to you know, control what athletes could get where how much student athletes can get made, and to the point where they were like, we could we own your image name and image lightness through perpetuity. They were working through those kind of deals trying to put people in three sixties back then. So the fact that this rually happened and a bunch of players like a Baker Mayfield, I mean, a bunch of athletes are gonna be getting back pay. So that's great some of that billion. But yeah, if you played in the if you played, bro, if you we're in the league. Honestly, I think that rule should go back to twenty ten if it was me even like before that. If you played, if you were in the league. After like two thousand and one, after like the Miami Hurricanes, like once, I think once we got to like USC and like. Matt Lioner and. All Brune and Ronnie Brown and them, I think once you get to like Matt Liner and up, they should get reimbursed. Does that make sense? Like there's like okay, let's say from like ninety nine or like ninety eight to like say two thousand and two, like bro, sorry, y'all are just fucked. Like ninety seven to like. What you know what I mean, like you're gonna screw but everybody else it's like, a

Kenny and Pete react to Aaron Rodgers joining the Steelers, Bateman staying with the Ravens, Five Star Qbs and more. Catch it here and on touchdowns and tangentsAre you tired of the same old sports media? Are you tired of hot argument and questions that are just completely based? Lately we have something before humans, touchdowns of tangents of the people, for the people, by people. Who care about the cult church all commentary. Mhmm, what's up, good people? Touchdowns and Tangents here from Hawthorne, California. I'm P D Camrio and he is Kenneth Barry. But there's no sound in my headphones. I can it seems like a personal problem. I don't think you really needed I just. I cannot can hear myself whatever you did. Before that work anyways, to regularly schedule programming. This is Touchdowns and Tangents. I'm PD Camery and he is Ken James, and we are your Thursday night spot for NFL takes topical tangents for the culture used to be live but a shout out to speaker for messing that up. So should we say Thursday Night? So yeah, we're kind of recording a little bit earlier. Normally we'd be able to talk about the thunder game, but now it's happenings as we're recording. So outside of that, I mean, the news of the day is obviously Aaron Rodgers finally committing to a teams. Yeah, a lot of people applying the move saying tomlin is that's what Tomin needs. A veteran quarterback, do you think? I mean it'd be interesting because they just gave him the playbook ahead of time. It's just like, yeah, Aaron Rodgers don't need to be a mini camp. You need to make who's gonna play left guard? Because honestly, I think they should just move Braxton Jones back to left tackle and Troy Fantano should should have been a right guard, a left guard out the gate the way they originally planned it. The right tackle situation I think is pretty good. They took two old linements back to back. So yeah, back to Jones because I think he's been playing left and right. But uh, I think he should just be the guy left tackle because I'm sorry towards a c L he's only like six to four damn near hair over six three, Like, bro you should you should be playing left guard and it would enhance the overall toive line because they already have their guy at at center and they got the skill players. I think you gotta bringing a guy like Karon Rodgers. Really it was just counting down. There shouldn't be any mistakes. My whole thing is, is this Pittsburgh team any better than the Jets last year? Even if the Jets might have been the best, if the Jets would have been operating at full capacity from week one to Week sixteen, I think they would have been better. And also if they would have had Adams earlier, I think they would have been better. So I don't know about that. They also playing a really tough division. I mean, we know what the Ravens and the Bengals are gonna bring. The Browns I think are still going to be real competitive. So yeah, I don't know what to expect for Steeler fans, but I know they're gonna be excited. They're gonna be pumped. They're gonna spend money on jerseys and tickets and things of that nature, so good for them. They're gonna be annoying and talk shit, but that's what they do anyway. So I just don't know if it's going to be any better than I mean, even even last year's Pittsburgh team, like they made the playoffs, So what Rogers maybe makes a one game difference on that team. He had a whole turnover at skilled physicians. They're really just turning that whole offense over offen. Why I was injured. I mean, it's about the same situation except the head coach. So if Mike Tomlin could get them to the playoffs with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, Aaron Rodgers can hold his own. He proved he had a great he had one of the best years. That's ironic. To win the Super Bowl against the Steelers and then win the Super Bowl with the Steelers. That'd be hilarious. And Tomlin might retire after that, but Aaron Rodgers could definitely retire after that. But honestly, they might end up trading TJ. Wak because that man wants to get paid. He hasn't even been at OTAs, So imagine trading TJ wat because you don't want to. But it's the Pittsburgh Steelers. They just developed all pro air rushers no matter who they draft, who they signed, anything else. You want to talk about, anything else, we need to talk about. Well, Frank Ragnall retired the Lion Center, All Pro, four time Pro Bowler. He retired after seven years about Arkansas and he helped usher in a new error for Lions football. He was everything that was bad. I'm surprised he didn't last a full ten years, but honestly, Andrews were really beating his body down. And for sinners, I feel like sinners take a lot of abuse and nobody really cares to talk about. And yes, I was a former center and tackle high school, played multiple spots, so I understand the beating of the Lions have a replacement on oh yeah, and they can also go sign old boy. The Raiders cut if they really needed a center. And Smith, Andre was Andre Miller. That's Andre. It was Andre Smith. We know we're talking about what's his name. I can't believe I'm Andre James, the Spencer James because you know, on all Americans that was horrible out running and Andre James was kind of horrible and some things. But whatever, crazy how he was a tackle in college and made his money as a center. But I could see, you know, Yeah. The other thing about playing center is it's a lot of stress on your knees. It's like being a catcher because you gotta be in your stands the longest, longer than anyone else. And people don't realize how flexible centers are, how how flexible, how. Strong they are. Look at Nigga Mango. I always think about that. Hand eye coordination to. Hand eye coordination for a center from snap to different people pressing their hands against your nether regions. But yeah, I feel like the lines, the one thing they do is they always keep centering. Let's just sit there thinking about they always find into your linement. Think about the life of a center. Bro, Someone's like hitting you in the gooch a thousand times a game, like, bro, Like, that's why they have like the. Core muscle injuries. That's why these guys lose all that weight they have to you're gonna die like it effects. Like people don't really talk about the effects that playing offensive line has on the human body. And I'm not even like I know, like you know, we'd be laughing and joking to be stick. But no, as a former center, like playing tackle was so much easier on my body than playing center because it's like, yeah, at tackle, it's a foot it's a foot knee thing. It's your feet and your knees. Do your feet in your knees work in unison, Okay, then then you'll be all right, you don't really get much, not gonna get a lot, maybe some hip injuries. But it also depends on you, know, how physical you play, the type of player you are. Some guys are all finessed with technique, and some guys will just start a fight at one end of a restaurant and end up in the parking lot. It just varies. But at center, it's just like, hey, you're at the center of a car crash. Every play, well, you're the start of the car crash. Everything starts. You're the car. You're actually the car. You're the one who's gonna get a hit at like seventy miles an hour by a blitzing linebacker that runs a four three forty and Vida Veya standing in front of you. So good luck with that, because getting hit that that's including was like getting hit in the chest with the slave Jamer even in high school. Bro like the beating a center takes. That's why like centers and fullbacks and de tackles just have special places in my heart. Because only the three of us. Really know how badly we fuck each other up, like we do destructive life altering damage to each other in the trenches, and we still manage to have a moral code. That's so it's like Frank Ragnall, one of the pro one of the truest professionals, one of the best Line, the best centers in Line's history, which is saying a lot because they've had a couple so you know, I'm glad he's retiring Joy's money, Joyce family, and he helped turn a franchise around, so good for him. But Dan Morgan Dan Campbell was like, we love Frank, but the goal is the goal. We gotta keep moving. Next man up, So it'll be interested to see if they go get Andre James though. I think that'd be ideal if they they got guys on that roster who can play multiple spots, so it would be interesting. Yeah, all right, Uh, moving on. I think this week's gonna be a lightning episode. But uh, college football, Kenny take it away. Uh, Well, the whole bowl schedule came out. The bowl schedule for this upcoming year came out. The Bahamas Bowl isn't gonna be playing in the Bahamas for like the third year in a row. That's a lot. Yeah, I'd be pissed if I go to the Bahamas Bowl and weird in fucking Kentucky or something. I'm swinging on somebody. Uh. There is also. More talks, especially going to the media day, especially the SEC set of record in the College Baseball World Series for most teams eliminated in the first round or something like that, some crazy ass number. But yeah, back to college football. So people are already talking up Arch Manning, you know, so though he's gonna be the greatest thing since SI spread this year, and you know, people are kind of talking Tomack, especially when it comes to just the draft prospects. Like you can already see like the negative. I don't like the negative energy already around this next year's QB glass. I don't like it. It's like, so if Arch plays bad and still classic clarifiers for the draft, they'll still say he's the top pick, but been by way of maintaining his legitimacy, is the top pick. They're gonna shoot on every quarterback in the class, you know what I mean. It's like, Okay, they Caleb Williams was a consensus go, but you have to you had to consider Michael Pennick Jr. All these other guys, you know, like you have to be like, hey, they actually m

Kenny and Pete catch up on the latest NFL free agency news as well as the rule and policy changes. They also get into epic tangents about SD backers, retro offensive linemen, east coast versus west coast rap and more.Yo. You literally are you tired of the same clout chasing gatekeepers, the same sports media, podcasting, radio which recycling takes and no context. That's where it touchdowns. Chances come, chaser, See we're different. We give you culturally precise commentary, context for the culture being depth. NFL now with sous So get ready and prepare yourself listening. What's up? Good people Live from Hawthorne, California, fresh off a couple of week break. It's your always on demand spot for NFL takes topical tangents for the culture. I m p d kmrio and he is it Barry. Yeah, man, we actually got a lot of shit to talk about. Took the last couple of weeks off. Just get our mind right. You're back, like, uh, you're you might. Cut up, he said, We back like post thirties pay wow wow. But yeah, man, where should we start? I don't know, I'm not we were talking about this off air? But did we talk about the George Pickings trade? Well, if we didn't, weren't talk about it right now, and if we did, sorry for playing into the part of the media that always talks about the Cowboys. Yeah, but first, before we do any of that restipees. Jim irsay, we're starting to show. Jim irsay, that was not on my beagal card. Yeah, I thought you were gonna say something at the end. Now he died like today, no, yesterday, yesterday literally yeah, it's Thursday. I literally get the whole breaking news alert work. Oh what had happened? It's the normal day. Kendric concert giving up for it outside and boom, Jim Mercede dies were like, oh shit at sixty five. A lot of people, you know he I like that the picture of him when he drafted Peyton Manning and he looks worlds away from that. He was not in good health. His his bout with drugs and everything was kind of well documented. Painkillers, all kinds of stuff. But he built the Colts and so one of the best organizations in football, got them the Super Bowl, helped move on from paid Manning. You know, you guys like Jonathan Taylor, Anthony Richardson, Michael Pippan junior, like he's he's built one of the most helped, you know, building with loyal fan bases, Colts fans, you know, in the league. And he did a lot, a lot of philothropic work Baltimore and Andy. That was one of the things that popped up the most is like all the organizations that he helped like came out, you know and spoke and you know, his last tweet was go Pacers, you know, get him Vallaburton and all that. And then the Pacers ended up coming back on the Knicks because they choked him, blew a fourteen point lead in two minutes. Yeah, that's a wild ty. I didn't think about that, but that's true. That's crazy. Yeah, and then you know, Halliburton does that famous Reggie Miller choked job. Honestly, he thought his foot, he thought his foot wasn't on the line, because you know, you don't do that for a tie, but yeah, he did it for they went over time and ended up winning. It was crazy, but yeah, he was an impact on the league, undeniable. He took over the team from his father and uh, he literally worked every position in the organization on his way up until he became an owner. He was a ball boy. I think he worked at Concessions at one point, like literally worked in every single department of that. And yeah, Lucas Oil Stadium is a it's a somber place without him. But you know, he helped build a lot of infrastructure and bring a lot of money to the state of Indiana and especially downtown Indiana. So you know, anytime Colt fans go to these games, that's the house that Jim Mersey helped build. They should be proud of that. So rest in peace to him. I know. You know, people have said things about him in the past because you know, he was going through all the stuff they arrested, drugs and all that. But somebody dies, you should really look at the totality of like everything. Oh yeah, I hear you fair enough that that was a good a little tribute, a little shut out. Yeah, I mean to. Make Indie even like a piece of the football world is I mean, it's good on THESA and it's good on the brand of the NFL. I feel like what the Coats were kind of really helped, you know, NFL really kind of cross over even more so, you know with Peyton manning teams and Andrew just playing on the Dome, all the Super Bowls they had their you know, the tie into white culture and NASCAR and everything else that's Indiana feels like I haven't been there, I know, you have, but it's just always to me has felt like it's beautiful downtown of those one of those big cities that feels like a football town just because the importance of the team to that area. It feels times just based on like the freeways and all that. But then you actually get to the congested parts, like it's downtown Indie. I didn't even really get to explore all of it, but just the part that I was on, it's beautiful. It really is. And if you've never hit a brewery in downtown Indiana, it has to be on your bucket list. And that chicken spot, that chicken fry spot that like hot honey chicken fry, the best chicken frizes I've ever had in my life. All right back to George Pickens. So, yeah, the Stinglers traded George Pickens to the Cowboys getting the draft conversation, but the fact that I mean, I know this has been said, but it's like, I guess DK Map gets to wear fourteen after all? Did they not realize. All the steerious receivers that have washed out after they got traded, Like. None of them have panned out. Actually, I think accept me and I don't even think Antonio Holmes got traded. Did he just go to the Jets? He was actually decent on the Jets. Yeah, I don't know. It's like the only dude everybody else, I mean Plexico, but Plaxico didn't get traded. Did he saw a free agent? He signed with them as a free agent. Yeah, he signed with them as a free agent. But yeah, probably Plexico. It's probably the only one. Yeah, so Plexic. I guess kind of Antonio bro was cheez No, he had like a I think he had a thousand and it was like barely a thousand. It was like a thousand and three. So that counts. He wasn't in the locker room cancer when he got there. It's my point. He wasn't the problem. He just kind of fell off towards the end. That was a coach at Central State. But yeah, I mean, my Tomlin. There needs to be a thirty for thirty on Mike. There needs to be like a whole doc Like, there needs to be like a Netflix documentary special on Mike Tomlin because this man is like, this man is the leader of men. Think about all the people, all the head cases he managed, Yes, Steelers head coach bro forget James tribute to the James Harrison crash out, some of Ike Taylor crash out. Uh fair, not fair, But like the D line, all the receivers, Big Ben crash out. Maybe On Bell crash out, Antonio Brown crash out. Mike Wallace, Yeah, Mike Wallace was another Steelers receiver that actually was good after he left. Crash out, Pickens crash out, Marteles Bryant crash out. Yeah. I mean, if you break it down, most of his crash outs being receivers, running backs and Big Ben and one one or two Steelers defenders. But I mean you can't really call the pouncy Twins crash out. He was just a great center. That just a tough song, bitch. But yeah, it's great for the Cowboys honestly because Pickings you have to cover George Pickens. Yeah, I mean, Ceedee Lamb is getting a one on one. Gosh, God, God have mercy on that poor dB soul. I mean, I like it a lot for the Cowboys. I don't like it as much for him. I feel like he's gonna get lost in the sauce in that offense, as someone always does. He's finally going to a QB that can actually get somebody the ball. Though Dak is one of the oldest people on that team. He can get guys the ball. He's had career years throwing the ball, so I don't even doubt that. Even if they don't have a great running game, ass in game should be pretty smooth because you got George Pickens and CD Lamb out there for sure. And that's what I'm saying. And if the veterans, if guys can like get a hold of him and be like, look, you have two guys who can run around and who can beat He's a deep threat. He have just like sixteen and a half yards to catch. Yeah, light work for him is sixteen yards to catch. No, So I think he's a big body receiver too. You can go up and get it. I just wish receivers would stop wearing fourteen. It's really ugly. It's like that's a quarterback number. That's a punter kicker number. Like receivers should only be allowed to wear zero through nine. You can only wear eleven if you're already an All Pro. Nobody should be wearing ten as a receiver or twelve. Mike Evans and half thirteen, but after that we gotta cut that off, like you gotta go seventeen to nineteen, like, yeah, zero to nine eleven only if you're nice, and then seventeen to nineteen. Those are my receiver numbers. And obviously the eighties that's what you can pick from. But let the running backs wear all lot of those lower numbers. All right, what else do we need to talk about? You want to talk about the flag football thing here? You want to talk about it in the segments, or you want to talk about got segments? We actually gotta talk about. Oh we gotta run down to seek. This's a whole rundown. Shit, I'm bad. Yeah, it's just all here making my own you know. Also, rather than yeah, where the fuck a were going, tell me what. We're talking about? Rock party and Fred Warner got paid. That's what that was gonna be my alternative if you didn't want to talk about the flag football. But yeah, the Niners talk about flag football. Don't worry there. The Niners uh paid out party. They paid out five Warner. Five years, two hundred and sixty five million dollars with a fully he's fully guaranteed, with no trade. That's pretty party Yeah, what the fuck are you giving Fred Warner two hundred and sixty five million dollars? I know. Fred Warner

    TDT Post 2025 NFL Draft

Kenny and Pete breakdown the full NFL DraftIn the same old sports media. Are you tired of hot fakes, argument and questions that are just completely off base? Luckily we have something for you, touchdowns and tangsine of the people, for the people, by people who care about the culture. Commentary. Hm, that's some good people. Touchdowns and tangents here not officially live, but you get you get the drift. Hawthorne, California on pd Caamrio. He is Kenneth Berry, and we're here to talk a little bit about the rest of the draft. Bast time you heard us was on the day of the first round. Now we've got a week or so to really kind of let the dust set on and digest the full seven round in NFL Draft that occurred last week. With all that in mind, Kenny. Just I think you said when I asked you kind of what the headline would be. I think you said that there was going to be a lot of I don't remember what you said. Did you say there was gonna be a lot of lament taking. Yeah, No, that's not what you said. That sound like something you could say running backs. No, tryn't say there was going to be a run on running backs. No, that's not what receivers. You said that before, but when I asked you on the day, I don't remember. I have to go back and listen to it. Anyways, as of now, like, what do you think the overall headline of the draft is? I think good teams got better. I think you had a bad draft in this draft. That's just your fault. I feel like this is the draft where a lot of teams kind of rounded out their rosters. I feel like there was a lot of talent sprinkled out throughout the middle round. I mean we talked about it leading up to it. I mean there were guys that could have fallen anywhere from the first round to the fourth round, and you saw that unfold with the guy at your door and get his number called until the fourth round, even after the Browns had already taken the quarterback. But in those middle rounds, there were a lot of high end talented, skilled players that went. There were a lot of d linemen that went throughout the first and second rounds. There was a run on running backs in the middle rounds. I think we saw a good amount of quarterbacks go, even though this wasn't really thought of as a good quarterback class. I think a lot of guys we're seen as the developmental picks. People you can in and they can be camp arms now and perhaps they're develop into something later. There was a lot of trades. I mean, we talked about Houston and the Rams kind of training back, and now you look at that Rams trade and it's like they kind of fleecing Land in that because now they're going to be able to get their quarterback in the future next year, which is something that you said off. Yeah. Overall, man, I think when you look at the AFC West, I feel like all four teams really kind of had a good NFL draft, Like I feel like they all kind of address their needs and also got some talent upgrades, which is what you always want to do. And so for me, I think it's just gonna be one more indicator that's gonna be probably one of the toughest divisions. Again, the other kind. Of overall big narratives or themes you kind of took away from the whole three day draft experience. I'm glad the whole shador thing is over. Cam Ward really didn't get any real recognition for being the number one overall pick, and that's weird, especially since warn Moon unretires his jersey so he could wear it for the Titans. H Donavan Edward's going undrafted in the former Standford the Georgia Tighten going undrafted still kind of shocking to me. But I think a lot of these down drafted free agent guys probably gonna land on their feet somewhere many camps I've already. Kind of started. Yeahs Will Johnson is gonna wear number zero for the Cardinals. Yeah. I think for me, one thing that I kind of realized was the fact that U c. L A had more players drafted than you. USC was kinna that kind of nasty word. You said something that I'm really that I'm really proud of, to be honest with, you said that with a smile in your heart. Even Cal had four and three. Cal has ballers, which is crazy, but. Oregon has had the most, at least for for out here. But yeah, man, I was happy to see my my uh, happy to see my boy O two go to the Titans in the round two. I feel like I was a little high. But he's someone who's fast, athletic, can play off the ball on the edge, can really developed. He's got a lot of energy, Jalen Smith in the third round. Your guy Jonan Manheim went to the Jaguars. Yep, like that. Kyle Williams from Gowood slash Hawthorne third round to the Patriots. Perfect spot for him, fresh with him and Digs there and the fact that the Pats got two running backs. Titans also took Jason Slater, that guy had reviewed the Saints tick a lot of Viio out of. So Ja Tua. I think he went to the Colts. Yeah, he went to the Colts in the second n. But yeah, overall, I mean, we've talked about it all week, but I mean this is this was probably one of the best drafts we've seen from the Raiders in our times. Yeah, since the Super Bowl loss, Like that was from the top to bottom, the most well rounded draft. They got athletes who can play with hot character, build out their team needs. They got a couple receivers, they got projects. They got a couple of defensive linemen, a couple offensive linemen. I think if you you could go down the line and individually pick apart each pig, but I think ultimately look at the class as a whole, they got high character, high energy guys who want to compete, and they also happened to be athletic and bring some sort of juice to the table. And they know they played a. Role, like so Jordan six or five running the four to three flag, he played a role in Tennessee and the average twenty five yard. To catch, like Jans's the obvious pick. And I'm glad that the Raiders didn't, you know, get in their own way and they just made it after that, it was kind of playing with playing with the house's money. You get back Beck incredible story. Was happy for him, a little bit high, but he's a guy. He's a guy who can get open, he can make contested catches, and as long as his speed translates, I mean he's gonna be a guy that can help the move the chains. And then you add that to Dante Thornton, which is Kenny's been high on all all year, really, and he brings you a kind of speed side element that you can mix in. And I mean you draft a genty, of course you're gonna have to take some offensive lineman. I liked some other guys that were on the board more than Rogers and Grant, but I understand the thinking behind it. And then the corner they got was a guy. Who were in a four to three athletic physical big fits Pete Carroll's kind of traits. All the way around. All in all, though, I'd say it's probably a B plus in my draft, probably the best draft we've had in a really long time. Any thoughts on that, Kenny, Yeah, no complaints given a solid B plus. Your solid B roster's better today than it was before the draft. Talk about what the Seahars did. I think one pick that everyone's kind of been talking about was Jaln Milroe in the third round, some people comparing it to when they took Russell Wilson. I'm not sure why. People his mechanics comparison, because he's fast as hell, strong, he runs like Cam, is fast like Lamar, and has a rocket for an arm. He's just underdeveloped passer. If he can become anything remotely good, it's a great pick plus. Yeah, but he's faster than Wilson and he's probably nowhere near has developed as a staraware, so true, I don't really like their comparison, but. He can grow into something very spectacular. I mean, we love the safety pick in the second round, and he was best. It's what they want to do. You know. Pick Mills is another big body, run stuffer that likes that also fits what they want to do. A couple of tight ends, a teen as a running back out of Miami Royal. Also out of Miami, they picked up a receiver too, Ricky White the third and then yeah, they got a break. They got a lot of seniors, a lot of guys who are captains. Yeah, I'd say it's probably a B B minus draft for me. For the Seahawks, what would you say, I'm gonna be plus hard for. Me to all the areas they were weak at. Yeah, I hear. Yeah, I just don't really expect much from them. So, yeah, it's hard to expect a lot from the rookies if you don't expect a lot from the squad in general. Uneers. The Niners were kind of. A team that had some folks scratching their head during the draft. But what did you think about what the Niners did overall? I just had a lot of holes at the patch. They kind of had to go ed Rusher and the Georgia ed Rusher was one of the best ones available. It would be smart to take him. You kind of have to do it, especially with that rebuilt defense. Crazy how they went from like, what two super Bowls in four years behind a great defense to this they're going on what their third defensive coordinator in three years, four defensive coordinator in four years, something like that. Yep, they've kind of I go through guys, they picked up guys off the scrap. He tried to make redemption products, et cetera. Things have worked out the various degrees. But I think the biggest takeaway for me from this draft is they really just invested in that defense. Again, they invested in all levels of it. Taking Mikhal Williams in the first round and then pairing that with Alfred Collins, guy that you liked a lot. And. Yeah, man, they just continued to build on that throughout the whole draft. A lot of people like the Jordan Watkins pick in the middle of the fourth round. They think he can develop into something single people liked that pick a lot. I saw people who also liked the Jordan James pick out of workin even though they always have hello running backs for no reason. Yeah, what would you give the Niners grade? Yeah? C plus. Yeah, I'd probably say C plus as well. Just because I feel like they probably should have traded at Yuke at. Some point and got another pig. Mm

    TDT Draft 2025

Kenny and Pete break down the 2025 NFL Draft.Hey, you out there there. I want some I want some co hosts who actually you can tell that they actually have some type of chemistry going on. Heye, cloud chasing, that's cool. I actually got something in mind for you. So keep lessening. You'll find out. This is touchdowns and tangents your Weekly Spot or NFL thanks, culturally concise tangents and in context for the coaches. What's up? What's up? Good people? Uh? That's weird or is it you? Hear me? H? Your miic is not working? This is a touchdowns to chance everybody. I'm a Kenneth Barry and it's draft night. And even though I called I literally predicted like seventy the first round, Oh my levels messed up. That's what it was. Bad. There you go. But yeah, man, uh, well we're not really live, but we're kind of live. Uh, just fresh off the draft, wrapping up, first rounds over, We got all the reaction, We got some stuff to look forward to tomorrow in the next couple of days. Yeah, overall, Kenny, you can turn. Winner levels down a little bit. You're kind of high. I'm the same as you. I her feedback you talk or were you just sitting back when you said that. Okay, anyways, all right, whatever, Yeah, NFL Draft been interviewing on a lot of these guys. Someone in the first round. Okay, no, I would have asked you. I'm just saying, like, what from the first day of the draft is kind of the stiling. What was the headline? They all come from really good families, no trauma porn here. I was refreshing, Like it's as a journalist, it really is all about the questions you ask. And if all you can say is this person's mom smoked crack and kick like kick drug addition, after twenty years they did Tea Higgins. So dirty, maybe this is the reflection of there being more money and opportunity around these kids, or maybe they're just tired of, you know, perpetuating the same stereotypes, or maybe everyone really just came from a good background this first round draft. Gu I mean, like there are people who came from hard backgrounds, Like there are stories, but it's like you don't focus on like, oh, yeah, their father wasn't there, or they're anti smoked crack and their grandmother had to. Take care of them. Like when you just celebrate the person being drafted and the people who are happy. But honestly, I don't think I've really watched the main draft broadcast like that in a while. I think usually I just react to it on my phone or it's just on in the background when we're recording or at a bar or something. But yeah, I don't know. I kind of don't pay that much attention to it anymore. For me, I think the combine is more that kind of introduction the storylines. I'm just glad it was. Positive this year, and I mean there were a couple of trades. But uh, you know, I think when it comes down to it, I think everybody got what they needed in this first round. This might be one of the few first rounds where there weren't a lot of reaches. Yeah, for me, I think it's all about the trades. I mean, when you talk about the top of the draft, Jacksonville getting up to number two, I mean there's no there's no excuses for Trevor Lawrence. Now now you have to produce. You're on notice. Like we got to another weapon, we traded up to get it. There's excitement around the organization again. Okay, now it's your time to tie everything together. Because you've gotten you've helped us get to the playoffs. You got paid and you got everything around you, so there's no excuse. And then at the back end of the draft too, I mean seeing the Chiefs and Eagles swap places. I mean essentially two of the best teams in the entire league literally just played in the Super Bowl, played in two of the last three Super Bowls, and both got better, and they both were able to get players that easily could have went in the top half of the draft. They got guys where if they would have went, you know, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen twenty, you would have said, oh, that's a good value, you know, And they were able to get them at thirty two. And the fact that they i mean not coerce, but coordinated a swap like that, knowing they're both bitter rivals, knowing they're both going to get exactly who they want. That's crazy to me. But that's why they're the class of the league, because they got the brass and the balls, and they know how to make a move like that, and they're willing to put Eagles and you know, bullshit and old money and fucking pettiness and whatever aside. And it was good for football. It was good for their business. So for me, yeah, man, I think the trades were really interesting. I mean, even the Rams they traded back in the middle of the twenties, the Giants jumped in front of them to get Jackson Dart. So to me, I mean, that's the thing. You know that the Rams had their sights set on Jackson Dart because why else would you trade up and get him, Because none of these other teams after that, we're gonna take him. I think that's why you trade back into the second. Round unless the Rams, unless they knew the Rams were going to trade back to someone else to get Jackson Dart. But either way, Jackson Dart was clearly, as you called it like a year ago, was gonna go in the first round two years ago and the second quarterback, which a lot of people did not expect, which brings us to the next kind of big storyline which which I've been developing. But as Shador Sanders fell out of the first round overall, man, I think it's hard for me to say he's not a first round talent. But I think with this draft class, we talked about it over the coming weeks, but it's like four through you know, fifty, you could have ranked in a thousand different ways, just depending on what kind of scheme you're running, depending on what kind of trades you like, et cetera. So well, it's like, yeah, I feel kind of bad for Shoud because it's like, man, the league really just kind of coerced and turned the turt the tides against him, like they pretty much just gate gate kept him and said, you know, we're not gonna let you into our first round club, like because we don't have to, because your dad is too disrupted. He's always been too disruptive. That's what I feel like happened. But at the same time, it's like, no, I mean, Trador could have easily went in the second round in any other draft. It's just this draft four through forty were so close that you could make the argument for him to be in the top five, top ten, top twenty. And then Will Johnson falling that was a huge surprise. I mean, that was something else you had talked about. But I remember asking you, do you think he followed the second round. You're like, no, there's no way, And here it is, We're going to day two. Will Johnson saill on the board one of the best corners in the last couple of years, has some injury history, but it was deemed next up by Charles Woodson and kind of underwhelmed with some of his physical traits, but overall just real you know, press press corner and you need that in the league. So it's surprising to me that he fell in the second I. Mean, it's crazy that Will Johnson and Milwell were the last two left in the green room. Will Johnson really like milro I mean he kind of did that too. You should have never should don't don't go fly all the way out to Wisconsin and then that's embarrassing, bro. I wouldn't. I would have been at home with my family, Like, who's who was realistically gonna take him in the first round. That's what happens when that's. What happens when you listen to your agent and your dad and your mom and you don't have people around you that can be real with you, like. Hey, dog, you should have went back to college for that last year and become a better passer and then showed up at the combine running a four three forty being able to blew everybody away. But uh yeah, Will Johnson just comes down to his knee injury and then his tape. People are like, oh, yeah, attack all he's kind of stiff, and I'm like, oh, he literally was locking up everybody when he came back to play. He has the most pick six is in Michigan history. That's not accidental. So I think just if his knee's not healthy and he didn't run a forty, he kind of did some light workouts at his position drill when he worked out a couple weeks ago. So my thing is, I just think teams are like, we can get him in the second round since his knees, his knee might be messed up, or his knee is whatever. I think that's kind of where you go to because that's the only real reason why he don't have character issues. You say, oh, he can't tap. I'm like, he played at Michigan. There's plenty of film where he lit people up. You can teach, you know, really sorry. The other thing with that winning, Yeah, But the other thing is when you play on defense like that, like you're only going to get so many opportunities. He was seen as the top five pick, bro. Yeah, you was seen as the top corner, top five taken the consensus top five pick to out of the first round completely. And then Josh Simmons, who tours Pateller Tendon and only played six games this year, was a right tackle on San Diego State from San Diego. By the way, again another Cali first round pick. I just want to point that out. Boy. They keep telling us California is not a factor, but you get all your talent from Cali. Interesting, didn't exave your records like a super. Bowl records and touchdowns in the Super Bowl and appreciate he's from Fresno. But oh yeah, anyway, yeah, milroeuld have stayed at home. I mean, he's gonna have a fall because if Cleveland don't get him, and he's not gonna play in Cleveland's not playing. If if Chador doesn't go to the Raiders or the Browns, that's another steep fall, my friend. And he's like apparently the only person in NFL history to have his jersey retired and then not go in the first round. He got his jersey retired at Colorado on. But you see, that's why it's like it's it's hard to like root against him and it's hard to root for him at the same time, it's li

    TDT Live: 4/17

Aren't y'all tired of these cloud chasings and no chemistry radios? Which is which is right? Culty, We actually got something of that. This is Touchdowns and Tangents, your weekly spot for NFL takes topical tangencies and context for the coach got. So tune in, tune in because you never know if any of the take. But either way away at the touchdowns down, what's up? Good people? Touchdowns and Tangents Here from Hawsthorne, California. I m P. D Camrio and he is got up. I'm sinking tired. All right, Well that's the energy we're showing the show with. But uh, you know, my name is my name? You know by now hopefully talks about my name is Pete. Kenneth Frank James Bay. Thank you anyways, Yeah, I forgot what I was gonna say. Oh, I was gonna say, hopefully I'll remember to upload the episode this week. But yeah, so no episode was up. There and we're actually on time, but we're not live, so it really doesn't matter. We're just talking in the ether whatever space we're in right now. But yeah, man, the draft isn't a week from a week from today, Oh week go wait, oh week go away, which is crazy snuck up on us. So many interviews, so much content. I think we're just gonna casually drop interviews like, hey, you know we called this guy. A lot of rumors still circulating, a lot of last minute workout sessions. A lot of chatter about Jackson Darby in the first round, A lot to talk about where gent is gonna go. They didn't a lot to talk about where There's gonna go. They had a last minute workout with the Giant. And people are saying the Saints are wild cardinal for sure door the Raiders are supposed to be a sure thing for gent T, but. I guess the Cowboys are also super interested. So people were saying the Raiders might take Membo, the missoo left tackle, the missoo right tackle yeh six yep, which is kind of crazy. You kind of said he was going to be a fast rising. He ran the fastest forty out all the lineman, like a four eight five or something, and he had great testing, and he has a great. Tape and you can play tackle or guard. And the Saints right tackle just have to retire because the knee problems. So there Carr's alleged or not alleged, but his injury, his shoulder issue where he can miss significant time. It's kind of like, Aspencer Rattler, you don't really need to take a quarterback. It wouldn't make sense to take a quarterback, even if. You're planning on moving on from Derek Carr after this year, because he has forty six million, because you pro rated his contract, so you still need like you need a right tackle. It's kind of almost obvious what the Saints are gonna do. Like I could see them possibly trading up to get Will Campbell, the LSU tackle. You know, maybe move Trevor Pinning to the right side, but Will Kimball. Will Campbell had left tackle. He's from Louisiana. Speaking of which, Rectipece to Kyraen Lacy he's the NFL draft prospect. His lawyer came up pretty much said he's innocent, and there's so much information that I'm privy to, like the media destroyed the kids name and legacy and just flatinantly lied on him. And he said, oh, I'm coming for people. He's like, I got stuff that's coming out here. His attorney was like, he wasn't even the person who calls the accident. So when people say allegedly, it's like he wasn't the one who caused the accident. He fled the scene, but like the cops, I guess, like chased him the day before his hearing, and they his lawyer was like, yeah, there's no factual, formal charges that have even been filed. So everybody's saying he killed a guy. No charges have been filed, so you can't say he killed someone, and people have just been were destroying that kid on social media. He already, like. You know, had questions about his character, people saying, oh the whole gun. I mean, even if he did, it's not like him losing his life makes anything better, provides any sort of justice. It just makes it more tragic and sad. He shot himself. He killed himself because nobody deserves to die that way, and he didn't. He didn't have to, Like he made a rash decision. That's what it's like you would saying, oh, your brain isn't fully developed into your twenty five It really isn't. You look back at like twenty five, twenty six, twenty seven, and you're like, damn, I was kind of fucking stupid. When I was younger. It's kind of sad. I was like really emotionally erratic or like he realized, Oh, I'm glad, I'm better than who I used to be. But it's is so fortunate. You know, they killed. Kyra relates, she kills himself. He ran a four or five l stu's pro day, great time for him. Some people almost had him as the first round tick, first round pick. Potentially he's gonna go high. You know, he transferred from Louisiana, got to play at LSU, you live out his dream shat behind a bunch of first round picks, and you know, it's just unfortunate that he chose to take his own life. So yeah, it's just kind of like. There's been a lot of there's way more dramatic stuff happening around this draft than last year. For sure. I think there's gonna be a lot of trade movement, which I mean, we'll talk a little bit about more later. But one other things that came out this past week is there's gonna be players making the second Brown selections. So real quick. The list as is, Patrick Peterson, Keith Brooking, Jason Brown, Lee Evans, Chubber, Hubbard, There's White, Tim Cremery, Joe Thomas, Travis, Frederick, Bonnie Ball, Terry and Arnold, Mason, Crosby, Amon Green, James Jones, Jerry Kramer, Clayton Matthews, Jordie Nilson, Dave Robinson, Owen Daniels, Jonathan Taylor, Aric Armstead, t J. Slaughter, Dante Hall, Steve Westnowsky, Melvin Gordon, Michael Brockers, Alec Ingle, Stu Voyd, James White, Ryan Ramsack, Jason Seahorn, John Abraham Big, John Abraham o Allen, Lynn Swan, Julian Peterson, Sewn, Alexander, Richard Sherman, Simeon Rice, Keith Bullock, and Gary Clark. So in that group, I think about twelve of them are Wisconsin alumni, just because obviously the drafts in Green Bay, they want to make sure Wisconsin's well represented. I think there's like seven or eight Green Bay packers on this list, which obviously they're going to lead the pack as far as that, and I think. There's like three or four Hall of Famers on here. And there's one more fun fact about this group, Oh, a bunch of them are from the two thousand drive class. Since this is twenty five years since then. That class. That's why you see guys like trying to Alexander on the list. Yeah, it'll be interesting to see some some familiar guys from our golden era watching foot, watching football, and really playing man. The crazy part is there really are a lot of dudes who aren't here anymore. Yep. I still have the Drew Brees Madden cover and a couple of other older ones, and it's like some. Of the people in this game are no longer here. Some of the people in this game sons our first round picks Patrick Sartain Jr. Crazy word, absolutely crazy. I thought you had I thought you're gonna say something, so I kind of paused. That's it. Yeah, slip to Kyrie Jackson too. By the way, it's been almost a year since he died. Yeah, I got drafted. Uh by the Vikings, it was him and his friend were killed at the car accident because some drunk bitch wasn't paying attention. That's a lot. Yeah, she she should get suited into another lifetime. Crashes all her fault us You want to talk about for the draft before we move on? Uh, Yeah, I mean there's mostly. There's mostly just a lot of talk about like the value of quarterbacks in this draft, because like Jalen Milwirl was one of the seventeen people who got invited to the Combine, I mean, not the combine, got invited to the draft, and it's like most people who get invited to the draft, you're going first round. That's why they're inviting you. So if it turns to a situation where he doesn't, I just feel really bad for him because I remember what Lamar went through, or what a handful of other guys went through. DK. I think DK showed up in the draft, he had to wait till the next day. Like that's embarrassing, especially if every if everybody like prognosticated you to go first round. That's why a lot of prospects are like, man, I'm an throw a draft party with my family as Ash was there. Yeah, I don't. I don't blame folks blayme folks for wanting to avoid that whole, entire awkward situation. I mean, there's not a whole lot to gain from it when you really think about it. I mean, unless that's really the physical moment you've envisioned your head. It's like, what's really the benefit of being there. You know, you're just for going having that moment at home with the people that matter most to have it, you know, really to really be a fish in a bowl you think about it and just sit there and watch and have people watch you sweat it out as you kind of determine where your life's gonna begin. So I think it's a lot of unnecessary pressure, which I mean, if you're not a lock, why would you put yourself in that situation? To me, yeah, man, this trucks. Like I said, I think there's gonna be a lot of movement. I think it's gonna be really interesting, especially after those first. Four to five picks. Coach football, you go to UCLA. Yeah, I guess you got the money you wanted. I mean, remember he signed a three year, eight million dollar deal out of high school to go to Tennessee and he was trying to get money and reports you're saying his dad was trying to get more money going into the playoffs. Like this kid lends you to a playoff, you need to pay him more money. And Josh Iippel stuffed to his guns, as you should have because you should. Stand on Well, I was listening to some people saying, and they were saying, you know, you gotta remember, like he signed this deal out of high school and basically it kind of set the standard for a lot of people, and so everyone just kind of leap frogged him because he really set the standard. But that's not the university's fault, and that was a university standpoint is you know, hey, we made this

Kenny and Pete break down the latest NFL Draft rumors and CFB news. Are you tired of the same old sports media? Are you tired of hot takes, arguments and questions that are just completely off base? Luckily we have something for you, touchdowns and tangents. Tell the people, for the people, by people who care about the culture. You got all concise commentary. M's no good people, touchdowns and tangents here, fresh off of bye week, Hanthorne, California. I'm Pd Camrio and he. Is fresh off the gym, Kennis Berry? What oh fresh off the gym? Okay out the gym. I should have said, yeah the jay I am. My body hurts Jim's Burgers, I am. But yeah, man, you is fat. What do you mean? I have a nine year olds right now. You're a big bag. No, you're a big bad. But no matter how much way do you lose, you got. A big face. I go in there like, oh, your face. Is bigger than your hand. Beat that's crazy. Act know your head is bigger than your face. No, your face is bigger than Yeah, that's crazy because I got a large ass head. I have a large ass head, and I just accepted it. You got a large ass nick, which is funny because people say I have no people who years in high school, said I had no neck, but you got the back of your neck. That's crazy. You got the triple stack. Back, you got that triple stack. Remember that one day I came home drunk randomly with a Carls triple decker. That's what the back of your head looked like, that triple. That was a triple. I told you it was a triple. Wasn't a triple? I thought that was STRAMI no, that she was a triple. That ship was fired. That was a bacon. It was a Western bacon, triple Western bacon. That was worth eight dollars. It was should waiting for that breakfast bread eight dollars. Whoa crazy, sir. That was a freaking nigga trying to charge me for a bogo. That's what. Yeah, kind of damn, that's crazy because I didn't give you that norm petty ass nigga. It was fine when it was fine. Whens were good, but that bredo was kind of mad. I'm not gonna lie. Yeah, it was kind of man like. It wasn't Piggy's best. You gotta you're gonna get a breakfast breed though I didn't like the sausages. I can't go piggies no more. You gotta don't like the sausage. I didn't like that you got a sausage breedo. I thought you were getting bacon. I usually get bacon, but I was what the fun was up at your decision. I didn't know what you wanted, so I just got my default is because you had to have both, because they both had to be the same to get the bogo. I hate when fucking Uber East as that ship. That's when we got all this AI and you're telling me I can't do bogo with the one bird, one bacon, and one regular. That's crazy because you can get a double cheeseburger someplace and then a bacon double a bacon cheeseburger at that same spot for a bogot. You crazy. I never seen that. It's always like I'm deeply in. It always makes you add to the same to get the bogo on my ship. Excuse you don't know the right round? Maybe because I don't have Uber one. Yeah I used to have uber we Actually, my boss was paying for my Uber one for like six months and nobody knew about it. I think my job was gonna give us like Uber one once the season starts back up. But yeah, anyways, Uh, how was your week outside of that past couple of weeks? Tell the people, Uh, it's. Been good, all right? Laugh so quietly. I don't like you. I don't like it you're laughing. Hey, fuck you bro't laugh at me. Don't laugh at the inside joke. I'm not gonna talk about. On the air, scumbag this god man well played off a little bit better than I said. I'm fine. I said, I'm okay. Jesus, nothing hurts anymore. I feel kind of free. Anyways, all right, you could have just been like, yeah, I'm feeling great. I just went to the gym. I asked ja high school teammates at the gym. I head a media coach you on the airs of what we're doing. First off, this is not the origin episodes of touchdowns the change. Don't talk to me like that. What do you mean? It's crazy? Don't tell me you have to fucking manage me on the air. Well, that's what I'm saying. You don't know how to talk through a tough question. I do is talk through tough questions, Pete know. That's why I was laughing, like, yeah, I'm fine, I'm fine. Now, I'm really fine. You're an asshole, though, but uh yeah, my sister's sisters just doing good. Mom's doing all right, and tell you things you just don't want to know, and then they won't stop because they know what foks with you, And I hate that. Yeah, I kind of stray. Yeah, I was like, why are you laughing like that bitch? There was that other comment that she made up. I can't hear that ship. I can't hear it either. Yeah, and imagine thirty imagine thirty three years of that. It's like, my mom. Goes too far and then winks at me and then goes further and I'm like, oh. Right, But yeah, she's a tarist, what can I say? And she's from a she's from a time that doesn't exist anymore, one of the last of the real ones. But uh yeah, I mean watching wrestling this week was interesting. For the most part. Man, it's been decompressing and just applying to jobs NonStop, of course, because you know, all right out here for like all millennials, like this is the first generation that's literally doing exponentially worse than their parents, but working way harder than their parents. It's kind of like I don't know. Ever since the tear thing, people have just been really oh, oh my god, like these are the worst of times. And I'm like, dog, this is like my fifth natural disaster, my seventh recession, my third depression, my. Fifth quarter life. Whatever's less than a quarter that crisis, Like we just have a crisis every three months, like we're on the semester system when it comes to crisis. As like millennials, especially thirty. Year old, yeah, is crazy because prices are going up everything, only because this forty seven was saying like, oh, it's not a it's not a negotiation tech. Did you just say forty seven tactics? And then as soon as people start negotiating, he rolls it back. The whole time he's said, oh, yeah, we're not gonna We're not gonna back down. We're not gonna back down. And as soon as that stock market in the bond market started falling, he was like, yeah, I was just playing. I was on Twitter. Somebody was like except. For you, China, fuck you, Mexico, you're cool. Canada you're cool. Uh you're cool, You're cool. You kinda fuck you, you're cool, You're cool. Fuck you too, shout out the kid Cuddy. Yeah. Man, So hopefully if your portfolio was fucked up this week, hopefully it's a little bit better the past couple of days. I should have never sold my fucking stock. I mean I needed it. Yeah. The fucked up part is because all these people sold and then all that happened was when it went back up, they just they just sold it and then bought it when it was low, and then when it went back up, they just made money off of it. But that's kind of how meme stocks work. And that's pretty much what he did with the whole countmy, which is crazy. The whole country's a meme stock now. But yeah, other than that, man, I mean, I've been following the NBA playoffs pretty closely. The West Race has been crazy NBA. My point, there was like six or seven teams tied for two through seven right now pretty much the Lakers lucked in the three seed, and then right now I think the Clippers and Nuggets are tied for the fourth, and then I think the Grizzlies and Timberwolves are tied for six and seven. War years are like in a some shit like that. Him and im Udoka went at it did you see that they were popping ship and then they're like, what do you say? He's like, uh, he talked like he wanted it, and then he backed off, And I'm like, damn, bro, you got here catching straight. You used to be a head coach of the Boston Celtics before they you know, went to the finals, didn't win, and now you're coaching the Rockets. Getting Yeah, but ydoga actually just rings from where and you play in San Antonio. I mean, yeah, it's a player Taltimore as a coach. He should have had a ring in Boston. But he's glad he fucked that bag. I mean more like, if he was white, I don't think he would have got fired. But that's a whole other story. And you did that racist as Boston, Like you really fucked some white dude's wife in the Boston Celtics organization and. You thought it was gonna turn out. Okay, you had me alongs at home crazy anyway, But. Yeah, man, outside of that, been busy with these nine year olds shout out out see Trojans. But man, it's just been a grind, Like the weeks are just flying by, even though I'm only practicing with them, helping them practice two days a week. It's just times just fly by, and it's great to see them kind of grow and improve, But I think slipping into the future at the same time, you want them to be able to win and get be now. So it's all about finding that balance of keeping things in perspective, like, yeah, we're trying to run the race today, but we're really trying to win them mile later. So no, the marathon continues. I just gotta tell him that, like you think this is a race, it's not, though just a marathon. He's taking one thing at a time. Speaking of back to the football world, I mean I think everything right now is full of NFL draft smoke screen rumor season just following the Raiders, I mean I got accused of like sexual assault, he claims, with falls he turned himself in. That's what I say. Do you want to talk about that or you want to talk about in college football? No, it's kind of just the one off. Okay, so you couldn't have used that one off in college. Well, that's gonna hurt his draft stock. That's gonna hurt his draft stock. Okay, that's why I brought it up. Got it? This is like the part. Where it's gonna fall out of the first round. He was never gonna be a first round pick. Once he ran a four four one, it's like, Okay, we can get you in the third round, buddy. He ain't gonna If he falls past the fourth round, I'd be shocked. He actually can run roundes and catch and a

    TDT 03/23 Live

Kenny and Pete break down the latest free agency moves, NFL Network, the t-step and more.Hm, Hey, you out there there, want some, want some? You can tell that they actually have some. Hey, cloud chasing, that's actually got something in mind for you, So keep rusting you'll find out. Now this is a Touchdowns and Tangents is your weekly spot. Or the NFL coaching week in sight and in context for the go to what's up, good people? Touchdowns and Tangents. You're Thursday night spot for NFL takes topical Tangents coming to you on a special Sunday night Monday. Uh from Hawthorne, California, I m P D Camrio and he is Kenneth Barry. Yeah. So a bit of a slow news week this week, especially compared to the last few weeks. But still a few updates that we're going to get through and break down for you over the. Course of the show. But otherwise, uh, I was weak any uh pretty solid. Actually, I made a made a last second decision. Actually that it wasn't really the last seconds. I know I was gonna do it for about two months, but I went down to Oakland and surprised my whole family for my grandma's eighty fifth birthday. Shout out to Grandma, shout out up Birthday Grandma. Hip shout out to my mama Mary and to her birthday was like two weeks ago. I took a greathound out there like Tuesday night, got there Wednesday morning, told my mom like, hey, I ordered something of my Famazon and the guys downstairs he needs you to let him in so Grandma can sign for the package. I get there, susan excuse me. She just starts crying beest. I'm like, oh shit, don't have a heart attack and die. Because last year I I surprised my grandma on her birthday or on the eighty fourth birthday, and me and my mom and my sister were in on it, and like she clutched her chest when she saw me and started crying. I was like, fuck, I can't. I can't surprise pop up on the family no more they can. I got like a WrestleMania level pop in the living room. That shit was kind of funny. My nephew, I say, it just runs up, jumps on me, Court Chelsea runs out the room with her with Nico, and like Nico, he's just turned four months so he can turn his neck now. He has actually surprisingly really good control of his neck and he can like turn over on the sides. So as Chelsea's running with the baby in her arms, he's looking at her like, slow down, bitch. It was the funniest thing. But yeah, it was good to good to see everybody. I only was. I was out there one day. I got there like seven after at eight in the morning, and I left at like eleven twenty that night and got back to Cali at like eight in the morning. Then I had to go run a bunch of errands and work, and yeah, mom, my boss of who's been at the NFL Network for like fifteen years, he's, uh, he's leaving. He got a job at the Atlanta Braves. He's moving back to Georgia. Family got a house out there. He's like, I never would have got a house out here, and we're like, yeah, you're right. So it was good to kind of just pull up on him yesterday before I went to work, say my goodbyes because I'm probably not gonna see him this week. He gave me my first shot. He's the one who hired me an NFL Network three years ago. He's like, man, salute to you. I love all the work you do. Shouted out the pod too. It was dope. It's been a very like emotionally fulfilling week for me. So yeah, that's what's up. That's dope for me. I just got back from a Vegas a few days ago, which was cool, just to get out the city for a little bit fuck around. I went to the Clipper game Hell Kitty Night with my girl, which was cool. She bought me there James Harden jersey, so that was dope. And uh yeah, man, I had my first five month five tournament today which was cool. My eight year olds went to and oh so that was that was cool. I didn't really have high expectations, but my guys are gamers. Apparently they hit the switch, so I was great. I mean even my little seven year olds, who I've only been working with for like a week or so, they really got out there and. Competed the end of the day, Like the end of the day. Things like this, they're just like tests that just kind of you know, mark where you're at at that moment in time, you know. So it's not. It's not the end all be all, obviously, you know, we're trying to get to fall, trying to win and tackle. But for now it's a nice little confidence booster to know we're on the right track. So I was happy about that. Otherwise, man, yeah, I guess do you want to talk about as far as college football. So salute. Salute to Fran Brown, Syracuse head coach. He talked about how program that's mandatory for all Syracuse players, that it's like the Syracuse sixty like sixty days after they graduate or whatever, these guys get jobs, they get placed somewhere, which is really dope as a coach, as a college coach, you know, cats go play football at Syracuse and they're guaranteed the job somewhere. Like that's a great recruiting sales pitch. And that's what I would want a coach to do for my kid, if I'm going to play football for you for four years or five years, or six years or seven years. Because LSU running back John Emery, who tours ACL against USC last year, he's trying to get a seventh year of eligibility. But Brian Kelly's like, we're good at running back, but we'll support now wherever it goes. So hopefully he can find somewhere we can play, you know, for seventh year. Kind of crazy, Like I remember when this dude came out of college and he was one of the top running backs in the country, five star prospects. He's just had so many injuries. It's kind of sad. Hopefully he gets to play somewhere. It's just not gonna be at LSU. Also, everybody's just Chris Winky these days. Shit, it's not even bro Chris Wink. At least went to play baseball. These cats are in college seven eight, nine years. I need to go back to college. Shit. I know I got my degree, but I'm pretty I got I played at a juwe I was at a Juco for three years, so I'm pretty sure I'm old smeligibility. Back in CEA Sports announced that the payments for players in the game is gonna go from six hundred fifteen hundred dollars. Not only that. Adds it's quite lovely. I'll take that. From teen hundred, that's a stadium check right there. Not only that, hopefully we get all the players in there next year. Yeah, I mean I'd opted for fifteen hundred kawhi. Yeah. So let's the other news. USC Michigan had their pro day. Johnson Ron I think allegedly he ran a slow time a lot of them guys didn't run forties. A lot of people say he's falling down boards. Yeah, I think he allegedly didn't run a fast forty allegedly, But I'm like, okay, he can play safety. He's a functionally great corner. Wouldn't be surprised if we ended up on the raiders. I'm just being honest. But uh, I mean you think he falls another first. No, he's not falling out the first. That's that's too crazy. I see a Michigan corner like, that's not. Nah. But uh, let's see Cooper Lovelace, no Colon Love, I forget his first name. But the tight end for Michigan, Mason Graham, Kenneth Grant, A lot of these, A lot of these guys from Michigan. They mostly just did position testing. Yeah, a lot of cats just who are already locked in the first round picks. It's like, why run a forty and remove all doubt? I guess that's one of those type things. Also, Alabama's Pro day, Jalen mill Road. They said initially he ran a four three seven. Officially he was clocked like a four to four with a one four ten yard one four four ten yard split, which is insanely fast. I didn't have to do the Braxton Milly. They're they're saying he's gotta They're saying he has the first round. Gread now what they're saying he's ability. It looked like he had never thrown the rock before. They say, well he got his hands were regard bigger at the combine. Not even I'm not even talking about that hands. I'm talking about just the way he was throwing the ball. He did not have a good week, bro Yeah. Well, they're saying that, uh, he's he could go as early as twenty one. They're saying he has with Anthony richards I'm saying he's having an Anthony Richardson. No fucking way, Broe run. Those are the same people that say said that Hayten Noogart was going to go in the first round a few years ago. Richardson went fifth overall, didn't he? Yeah, but I don't know, it's different. Richardson looks like he's a quarterback, even if he didn't do it at Florida. He looked like a quarterback in workouts. Melroe looks like an athlete who can throw. They loved his Pro day workout crazy. They left his workout. A couple other guys ran pretty much. All those SEC dudes you'd be chatting with the water cooler. That is the saying he's got a first round grade Renos SEC blogs. You know it's true, dude, that's why you laughing. There's a consensus. There's definitely a Bamba bias. So he's definitely already seen as like he could go to the Steelers because really he just needs a good quarterback coach. He can be good. He's a dynamic athlete. And I think if he commits, but he ain't starting his rookie year, tell you that. Much for sure. Not no way, there's no way he starts his rookie year. Yeah, I just don't see it. And then also Deonne Sanders and Fran Brown, we're talking about having the first ever joint spring spring game Syracuse, Colorado. They're working on they're working on that. That's taking the next steps. I think that's a good move. I think that's a good future way to do with these spring games. I mean, we've been talking about how they're kind of relevant or at least, you know, less important to these schools. So I think that's a good way to go about it. Well, the the petition to allow it, it's it hasn't been denied, so it would actually be on April nineteenth. That's the crazy part. Because Colorado spring game is scheduled for April nineteenth. They're gonna meet on April tenth to see if the waiver should be allowed. And it's like it'd be the first one. It would be the first thing of its kind, and the first two people to do it are two black coaches, So

    TDT Free Agency

Kenny and Pete break down the latest free agency news and preview the rest of the offseason.Aren't y'all tired? No chemistry which was just ride. We actually that this is the Touchdowntown. Your week we Spot our NFL takes the topic of tan engines and context for the coach coaching so. Because you never know, but either way Away had. The touchdowns down. What's up? Good people? Touchdowns and tangents here Hawthorne, California. Your Thursday Night Spot for NFL takes topical tangents for the culture. Ir n P d cam Rio. I'm Kimmith Barry. And it's a big week this week, lots of news. NFL free agency got started. Sleep I'm surprised that the amount of money certain team spent, but really I'm just happy the Raiders haven't like jumped the shark, Like that's that's such news that the Raiders didn't overspend in free agency. Like, I'm it's actually kind of reassuring. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, I think it's good that they didn't just throw money away. But also, I mean, I would have liked to see them sign one or two marquee guys, but I guess Gino qualifies as one that was a great trend. Presumably if they, you know, trade for Tyreek Hill or signed Cooper Cup. I mean that's two. I guess there's still some linement out there they could get. But all in all, I thought it. Was interesting the Raiders basically let like four key rotation, no starters go, and they pretty much replaced them with guys who are very similar but probably better athletes. So I think that was kind of interesting for me. Yeah, Like, I mean, Master kind of caught me off guard, but not off guard at the same time, like it made sense. But I was just like, really, I. Mean, it's kind of like Madison, He's just good enough to get you there. The offense isn't gonna be. There's so many good running backs in this class, though, so I'm not really worried about it. I don't expect him to start. I think you do need at least one veteran in the group, and it might as well be mostered or not you know who shall not be named. And we're white. No Brandon Balden. Jeez, he's not on the roster anymore. He's not in the league anymore. Yeah, yeah, man, But overall, I mean I'd give the Raiders public a B minus. Yeah, here's why. They got a quarterback and now the six overall pick for them is one of the most valuable picks in the draft for sure, because what if you're the Rams and you're like, we'll get your door and sit them. I just don't like the fact that they paid double digits for Adam Butler and Malcolm Coons. Those were bad signings to me. I wouldn't say they're bad signings just because that's kind of where the market was a lot of guys at that cover were. Kind of getting, you know, double digits like that. Jonathan Allen was available for the Vikings. I mean, I don't I didn't expect Nate Hobbs to get twelve million for four years. That was crazy. I mean I expected Mowering to cash out, so that wasn't that surprising. You know, I expected Spillane to cash out, so that wasn't surprising. But you got a guy like Nick Hobbs was finished on r R the last three years, making you know, twelve million over four years like that. To me, it's just signaled that, Okay, the market, the money's out there, whether you've been hurt or not. And so then I think that at least rationalized it in my head for Coons and then seeing what Poon before got, seeing what Jared Reed got. Made it made you smile when you saw get the deal. But seeing the seeing where that that nose tackle d tackle market is, you know, it made sense. Butler got what he got. I mean he's improved the last two years. You know, he's Christian Wilkins guy. They've played together for I think they play together in Miami too for a little bit, so you know, you keep the core group together. I get basically what I'm saying is I get the numbers. I just don't like them. Is he gonna start Butler? Yes, I mean he started the last two years. I'm starter, not because either or Wilson is starting and already Why would you ever got twelve million? Who was hurt when your seventh overall pick? Who, by the way, when ahead of like three all pro players? Well, first off, like you gotta his figure options coming up. First off, I'm not really worried about that. I would be at the end of the day, whatever you get out of him is a bonus. I think they've built the team around not needing him and being able to move on without him if he doesn't produce this year A lot like you know, Cleveland. Farrell also also with Rahem Green is not better than him. Racheinon Green is equally a bust. He's not a bus though. He's equally a bus. He hasn't been in the league in a year. Bro excepted. No, he was like he wasn't on Houston. Actually, had it was out the league. It might have been hurt through. I mean, he's been hurt most most of his time in the NFL. But what I'm saying is what I'm saying is I mean, I'm fine with signing with Green, don't take anything away from it. But I'm not going to sit here and pretend like he's an outgrade over Tyree Wilson. They're probably, if anything, who probably the same. I don't know. I haven't seen Rasheina Green in two years basically. I mean I think he's more of a tackle. But yeah, back to your question, is I don't see why he can't start. I mean, in theory, Coots came in the league as a linebacker, so you can play him as a hybrid LEO type if you wanted to. Wilkins and Tyree and and Butler are all scheme versatile. They can also play fives or threes or ones. I just think you're stuck now with a guy who's a fringe starter. Who's that Butler? I mean most they can play some inside you. You look at the money, like the money Coats just doesn't make sense. I think it's only what two years Butler's contract, so you can get out of it next year. It's not that big to do. It's like three for eleven and a half? Is it pre sure? It's three for eleven and a half. Yeah, I thought it was too guaranteed, but it might be three. Well yeah, I mean either way. Kons's contract was more than Butler's. Kon's is only one year though. Twelve million though, yeah, So but if Coons doesn't work out, you cut him in season, You cut him out there whenever you walk away, not to waste the twelve. Million you could have. You could have just let him walk and signed probably three other veterans. Who were you gonna sign for twelve million? You saw what Chaso got. Chas Song got six million off seven games. Nobody wants Isaiah Simmons, bro Like, literally nobody wants Isaiah except for you, Like you're literally the only one who wants it. If you were a GM of an NFL Euro team, you would have him on your squad starting out linebacker, cuz, yeah, covering occasionally blitz. He only played like thirty percent of snaps and with the Giants last year. He has been good. Bro. Since Patrick Grhant left, I think you really got to get off that train exactly. And Patrick grahamers like. You know how you had that that real top with me, and you're like, yeah, you gotta get off that Saquon hate train like two years ago. This is that moment for you. You got to walk off the the Isaiah Simmons glazing It's time. That's crazy. It's time calling it glazing crazy, It's time. He's still Actually. He might be a bigger bust than Aaron Curry that he might be a bigger bust in LeVar Arrington. He might be a bigger He might be a bigger LaVar wasn't a bust. He got injured and Washington was terrible, like the front like he talks about, like the horrible stuff that was happening in that franchise. I mean yeah, but he was still a top five pick and only lasted in the league like five years. He had an eleven tax season and nine taxi and then. He fell off a cliff and he wasn't even a passpresher like that. He was supposed to be a strong side line but he was really supposed to be a mic. They just had a bunch of other linebackers, so they played him at outside line back and. He was that nice Jelly wasn't. Lavarrige is one of my favorite players of all time, but he fell off cliff. Well, yeah, he's like one of the first players I remember seeing, like literally. Fall off a cliff. In terms of productions used to be studied because Goblin turned down like twenty millions from the Patriots to go back to Tampa Bay. And I'm like, Penn State guys interesting him. Saquan good boy, Ala Robinson. All right, you want to talk about the Rams what they did signed Davante Adams. I think we talked about that last week. But what did it happen last week? Yeah? I think it did happen. A lot's happened in the last week. Did it happen last week? It might have happened on Friday it was announced, might have happened on Friday. It might have happened after the show either way, DeVante Adams is a Ram. I think that's a great signing for them, especially because Rams fans now I have to admit that DeVonta Adams was always better Cooper Cup and pook Cool And yeah, he pretty much punched Pooka for his number, so that was crazy. Buddy went back to twelve. Yeah, so what else did the Rams do? I can't even tell you. They did lose some key guys, but. That kind of stands out the most is that the Davante signing is still better than Cooper Cup's contract. That's why they were able to cut him. Yeah, who else? They lost a Hoick? He got a you got a good sized contract with the Bills. I think of what else they did? They resigned Jimmy g is it backup? That was interest. So we're really breaking it down like the Rams. They can just obviously waits on the draft and they're chilling. They cashed out point A FOURD we talked about a little bit earlier. They lost Bobby Brown, another starting defensive lineman. He got a bag bro De Marcus Robinson went to the Niners despite a potential future career for them future suspension, and then they lost a few other defensive linemen. But outside of that, I mean, I think this year for them was really just throughout kind of getting their cap situation straight and figuring out what they're gonna put around Stafford. For one more run. But they still got to figure out paying Kyron and I think Pooka too. I

    TDT Post 2025 NFL Combine

Kenny and Pete break down the latest from the 2025 NFL Combine and preview the upcoming NFL Free AgencyHey, you out there there, want you can tell that they have sometime? Hey, cloud chasing, that's cool. Cool, I actually got something to mind, So keep rusting. You'll find down out. This is a Touchdowns and Tangentines your week week spot or NFL Coach. And Context for the what's up good people? Touchdowns and tangents here, fresh off a week off your Thursday Night spot for NFL takes topical tangents. We got a lot to get to tonight, everything from the NFL Combine breakdown to previewing free agency. But yeah, man, football season really only takes a month off and we're kind of right back into the swings with the draft and off season. But in case you didn't know, I'm Pd Camrio. And he is Kenneth Barry Freshly thirty three. Damn, that's right. We haven't had a podcast since your birthday. But yeah, man, it's been a hell of a couple of weeks. Lots of peaks and valleys. But yeah, I don't know you want to say anything about your birthday before we jump into the combine. Oh it was great a true. For people who are Christian, you know, thirty three is like a super serious number because it has to do with Christ and all that. And also like my older sister was like, damn, you were older is Jesus? When he died, I was like, that's not funny. And of course we laughed hysterically because it's like when we were kids. It's like, Hey, when you're thirty three, I'm going to be this, and when I'm thirty whatever, you're going to be that. And now we're all here and I'm just like flies, thankful to be here. Though. Yeah, man, so NFL, come on your initial thoughts takeaways. Ironically, I think none of the corners ran below four to six this year. What Nope, just a couple of safeties, but like none of them. All the corners ran like sob four four four three ran a four to two. This is incredibly fast skilled group. The receivers, Matthew Golden, I don't think anybody saw him running the four two nine. You might be a top ten pick now some running backs. All the running backs ran great forties, Donovan Edwards being one. Raheem Sanders said he I figured hed run four four What do you mean there's a bunch of corners that ran and so forth? For no, I'm saying none of them ran a four to six. Oh like no corner at the I don't know they A lot of them ran sub four fours, sub four threes, sub four fives. Very fast athletic group this year. Yeah, I think that's kind of the case collectively. I mean, you have offensive linemen running four nine s five one. You had d lineman running fastest ship too, four four sevens four five six. I mean if you look at the edge, there's only one player ran over four eight. That's pretty crazy. Yep. And yeah, people really sleep on how athletic off of the linemen are. Like the North Dakota State off the tackle had a thirty six and a half vertical. They're receivers and dbs who don't have that. I mean, like even of that. I got thirty didn't have vertical means you can dunk on an NBA court. I don't think people understand that concept. Three hundred pounds men running five one forties with elite vertical leaping ability and quick twitch, Like, I don't think people realize how athletic these offensive linemen. Are at every level. Look what I mean, Middle State. Dude, even like the d tackles, I mean like four eights. The slowest time is really like a five too. Yeah, the Guard's only two people that were in Lott Short ran slower than the five too. Yeah, that's the slowest tackle man, like a five to four. And a lot of guys Florida Center, oh, a lot of Carolina Center. Oh yeah. And then a lot of guys just didn't run you and Travis Hunter wasn't going to perform. People kind of crap it on your door, Sanders. Which. Draft time exposes a lot of race, like draft. Tar Cooking, Tyler Show both and four. Six, Seth Hanan for seven six all three. I didn't even think he was that fast, But that's cool. Brady Cook's a good development for I feel like all three of those guys are good development, great money, like six seventh round picks that you know might be able to develop into something. And then you also, who was the second guy on Shall Yeah, yeah, he might earn his way as like a backup. They say the Raiders fucking love him. Han Seth Hannigan too, all time quarterback and touchdown thrower in mephis history, only QB who actually stayed all four years. Really in like the past seven years, he's like the only one. Everybody else transferred or came from those school. It was kind of crazy, yeah, I mean overall. I mean, I think you were talking to me about it during the week, but I mean the running back class is pretty crazy itself. I mean, just look at all. The guys who ran four fours check run back running four three two. There's at least ten guys who. Ran four fours. Fifteen that ran four fours. It's probably one of the deepest running back classes ever. Two from Virginia Tech. He looked really good at all Senior bo week. He was really physical. I didn't expect him to run a four three two though, Like, that's pretty good for him. Strot Smith four three nine, it's a good time for him. R J. Harvey for four that's a great time for him as well. Two hundred pounds former quarterback five nine. And he's fucking solid, like rock solid. He's not a dude. Do you want to run into junkins running four to four eight? Henderson ran a four four three, don if it ever running four four five saying four four four, oh damn, which is crazy because he's already like a game speed guy. But he got speed speed. Yeah, home run Threat speed Marshall Lenz speed. Etn with the four to four to two, I guess, I. Mean, he can't beat his brother at a forty, but he's still really fast and the receivers. DeAndre Thornton ran a four to three flat at six four two hundred and five pounds, Yes, and he led the country to twenty five yards to catch twenty five point four. So it's like, yeah, check that box off. Golden could have had a better combine. Isaiah Bond said he was gonna break the record and only ran a four to four to one, But it's like a four to four one is like elite speed. Like if you run a four to four, you're already in the top five percent of fastest people on earth, So none of the lab it's nothing to sneeze at. But it's just like, I mean, maybe he needed to say that, so he for solidified running a four to four, which is nothing wrong with that, Like, I mean, him and Jayde Blue said they were gonna run four was Jayson Blue ran a four three eight. Texas running back John A. Barron ran a four three nine. He's probably gonna be a top ten pick at corner for sure. He didn't give up any touchdowns this year he had. He gave up like thirty seven receptions for two hundred and eighty four yards. That's insane. One of the greatest seasons ever for a Texas dB. So there you go. Shout out to uh Kyle Williams La Area grab for four. Jayden Higgins was a guy people really liked at the Senior Bowl. He put in a four four to seven, came midrano at a four four to six A linebacker Johnie Campbell, the Alabama linebacker ran a four to five to two. He can go anywhere from top ten to top fifteen. Terrence Fergus him put in the four sixty three. His gauntlet drill was fucking cheeks, though I don't know what happened there. But he's also kind of a clutch gamer kind of guy. Did you talk about seventy year ran four nine five Who Arizona tackle? Oh yeah, Junior in the four nine and five, which was actually kind of surprising because he's big as fuck. He's a I mean, honestly, the bazoom tackle in a four nine one. Yes, he got compared to like Jason Peters. He measured in a legit six four like three thirty, so he might not have to bump down the guard. He might just beat the number one right tackle, Kevin Banks turning five one. Honestly, some people say Kevin. Banks put in the five flat basically, Yeah, Kile Rodgers the five women who also played guarden tackle, He's really a guard, but he played right tackle this year. Chafers for I see Jalo Smith ran. A four four five? Uh what he marks? I think ranted in the four fives four six from Schamar Stewart's too great time. Yeah, four five nine, Yeah, I gotta give him his four or five nine respect. Yeah, and dressers don't like when you round up. Nobody likes her forty time round up. That's one of the one things you never round out round up on someone. Kyle Knard four seven three. I'm amad hasseini those Florida seven seven that's a good time for him. Yeah, Like three Florida receivers ran excellent times. Wid receiver ran like a four three four Another round like a four four six, So Florida sure had a lot of speed. It's kind of crazy. Hat pearce all last year and then these two guys this year just burners. Damn, I was not expecting Madrona though four four six. I told him, you did tell me he didn't look that fast though, A right man. Honestly, Jeffrey BOSSI look faster than that. When are you that fast? You look at for this fast dudes who are know they're fast. I can get there. I can make up the extra half a second where it's like Bossert or four six three, So he has to be instinctive. And go now. But he looks faster than that, just not so that might actually hurt him. Tess Johnson around four or five one might that's probably gonna hurt him too. We have big hands, but he also weighed one fifty four, so it's like, get some of the best. He has a pretty good terms, but also some of the worst for a dude who's only one hundred and fifty four pounds. Who else Jayalen Smith put up at four four or five? Yeah, set that play corner safety slot cool can really do everything. Sorry, nice woo. I know you've been talking about it all week, but every time I see that those two safety times, I'm just like, damn. The starks out of Georgia. For single and M and worry the South Carolina and Safety and Kansas State Safety. Yeah one around a four three five and the jack compared for. Three seven and four three eight are the official times. Yeah, and he was

    TDT Post Super Bowl

Quick bits on the Super Bowl and Pending Offseason.Hey, you want some coary here, want some co hosts who actually are and you can tell that they actually have some type of chemistry going on. Heye, cloud chasing. That's cool. I actually got something in mind for you. So keep listening. You'll find out. This is a Touchdowns and Tangents. Is your weekly spot or NFL takes culturally concise and in context for the culture. What's up, good people, It's your Thursday night spot for NFL takes topical tangents and concise commentary for the culture. It's Pete d. Camrio on the Mic with Kenneth Frank James. Can't multitask Barry, I definitely can. That's crazy. All right, well make your selection. Uh. For those of you who don't know. What season, especially fucking over not attendant talk about this week. I mean, we'll get more into the draft than the combine over the next few weeks, but really we just have to talk about that abomination that was the Super Bowl. I mean, soch far them talk at least around our house has been the extracurricular activities, the big games, the food, all that stuff, and of course Kendrick Lamar's half team performance has been analyzed by every single person on social media, because really the game was shit. I mean the Chiefs didn't score until like the fourth quarter, when they were already down three scores. They had a white corner and do a pick six People out here saying Travis Kelsey's cooked. Yeah, what happened with Trump and President Trump? President and getting cheers while Taylor Swift was getting boozed. So yeah, what a time Kenny thought some role. Personally, I'm just uh glad that they let the dudes play, and like Howard Roseman is a Hall of Fame GM, and I just think what Kevin Moore being the head coach of the Saints, It's gonna be very interesting how Philly rebuilds that uh that roster. Who they decide to let go. Yeah, they have a lot of decisions. To me, who retires, who gets traded. On sweat? Are all free agents? Grahams free agent? A. J. Brown's tripping again, so what it's time to be alive? But shout out to Jalen hurts Man. Yeah, it just keeps proving people wrong. It's a Super Bowl winning quarterback, MVP guy actually help me him up early. So yeah, anything else you want to talk about as far as the super Bowl, people really don't understand. It's kind of crazy. People really just don't understand, uh how some of this is supposed to play out when. It comes to. The fan favorite super Bowl. Everybody's mad about ticket prices. You chose to go, chose to go and spend your money, so you can't really be complaining. I mean that's a big deal. Like you get what you pay for. Stop complaining about shit. Like if you had fun at the super Bowl, you had fun, But like just know the price is only going to get higher, so you know, people gotta come to stop proplanting about stuff like that. I think one of the crazy stories that kind of came out that people were talking about, what's the whole voodoo stuff that someone was doing on the side of the field, like its Louisiana. Yeah. The other crazy part is I think this said Vegas made like twenty two million on the game because the chief sauce. So yeah, I mean I don't remember any of. The super commercials to be honest with you, but I was also kind of drunk. So that US skinhat commercial was creepy skin had commercial. Yeah, I didn't like that at all. I know that one kind of kind of ill, kind of why are we doing these guys? Interesting? You don't want to see Beta Villa and Miles Garrett on the same d Lin, Damn Jonathan Allen and Vide you're at the same age. All right, Well, Kenny and I are doing a fantasy draft. As I mentioned earlier, I'm the Raiders and uh, he is the I mean I'm the Chiefs, He's the Raiders. You're the Chargers, bro, I'm the Raiders. You already we have to redo this hard way. Why you got like four picks? I didn't. You definitely did. I did, not having much better team than you. Whatever. Oh, it just keeps why I somehow switched our teams completely. I don't know why you took Joe Thuney in the fifth round and Lane Johnson Erroll and hello. You king. I know what I'm doing. Damn. I might take Derrick Henry and just stack him just to be the ayeshole. You have to start him. If you haven't, just gets. Zach Martin and create an OPO line. I should where you got Mike Evans a receiver in a corner, though it's hard to cart why. Much like quarterbacks all they're all gone already. Literally every capable corner is gone. Damn it. Someone took fucking Michael Pennix. Yeah they did, those fuckers. You're waiting for him too. Yep. That's why I don't like this ship, because like they take quarterbacks way too high in the draft. Yeah, some kill on the board, but all the quarterbacks are going. That doesn't make any sense. Jacob's still on the board. It's like born Bro fucking still up front. Gonna be shitty in the backfield. But anything else that we should talk about this week as far as trending news topics. Not about college football, it's. Been pretty quiet pretty much, just Pro Days and the Combine coming up. Working had a record twelve dudes get invited to the to the Carbine. Combine is in what two weeks? Three February twenty seventh, damn, what's coming first two weeks? It's coming fast. I don't know. We'll see what happens. The Raiders finalized their coaching staff. That was kind of a big thing in the Raider Nation world. I think, overall, man, what's a chance you're already him? You wanted to switch, You're already him? Anyways, thank you always knew I was him. I just wanted somebody to get from it. Yeah. So the Raiders finalized their coaching staff. There were a couple holdovers, a couple of people that they brought back. The dB coach, quarterback coach. Both had previously stints with the Silver and Black Pete Carroll Rod his sons in. There's a couple of guys with some ties on how State. I think the D line coach or linebackers coach is tied to the Commanders. Joe Philvin's on the squad. So overall, just a well rounded coaching staff, a lot of different backgrounds, a lot of different schemes. I feel like the way this is, I mean, based off of what we've seen the Buccaneers do in the past, couple of iterations, based off of what we've seen Seattle do with Russell Wilson and Juno Smith. I think the Raiders are really going. To build around a veteran quarterback and then probably draft someone in the second to middle rounds and see if they can develop him. But I think it's gonna come down to Justin Fields. I think he makes a lot of sense with all state connections and Chip Kelly. Outside of that, I mean Aaron Rodgers. I mean, as much as people want to say he's a distraction, I think he had a pretty good gear considering what he bounced back from. And then after that, I mean you got Jamis, which I mean he has ties to the assistant GM. And then you got Russell Wilson, which has ties to Pete Carroll Gino Smith, which I'm not I don't really want, but I mean he'd be better than Gardner Missieu. So I don't know. Outside of that, man, I think the big the big stuff going on with the Rams kind of been uh just Cooper cup watch. I mean, people still just he sent out a whole message basically saying goodbye to the team, doesn't expect to be there. The president, Kevin demof went on the radio and was like, you know, like off the brakes. We haven't made any decisions yet. Season just ended. See what happens. But you know, he told us his position, we told him ours, so just kind of have to leave it at that for now. But you never know what will happen. So that's that. And then the Chargers, I mean they have a ton of free agents. They got to figure out poon forwarding a couple of their receivers. I think one of their linemen are all kind of headed towards free agency, so uh, they're gonna have to figure that out. And I mean the Niners also have a ton of free agents, their safety green Law. They just cut the defensive tackle Dee Will Samuel's demanded the trade, so there's gonna be a lot of movement this offseason. I think, what do you think, Kenny. A lot of guys are gonna have to sign if they're a team guys or if they want to get paid. And I think the Chiefs are definitely gonna lose some guys. I don't see how trade Smith doesn't get enough money to argue to play tackle because he can play tackle. He's six ' six. But we'll see. It was very. Interesting, and as I alluded to earlier, I mean, the Jet said they're going to move on from Aaron Rodgers. Basically, they kind of put their line in the sand and said, hey, if you don't stop going on Pat McAfee, if you don't go to all camp, you can't be here. Rogers said he can't do that. Everyone's just been talking about if he's going to retire or not, because it's been a real slow news week. Honestly, I don't think he's decided yet. I don't think he will. I think he played too well to be out there. But I also think that if he really doesn't have the competitive spirit, he's not gonna do it. But honestly, I think he does want to win a few more games, so I expect him to be back where he will sign. I don't know, might be a situation to where you know, it might not come until the middle of the season, when there's. Kind of a. When there's kind of a desperation play, someone gets hurt, et cetera. Yeah, we'll see what happens. Otherwise, outside of that, franchise tag deadline coming up soon, right, do you know the day for that, Gunny? Did that? Trade deadlines? No tax tags? Oh, franchise tags, Yeah, transition. I feel like there's just way less fan fait, Like there's. No what I'm asking If you know what the date is, That's how I'm asking. Oh, uh No, I don't know the top of my head. But it's definitely like in the next month Aaron Rodgers. Definitely, the places he could go would be crazy. Did you take the last pick I took Derrick Henry. Jeez, he's a ninety ninety. He was so still available all this time. Wow, crazy work. I don't really know where to go. Kind of filled out my team's identity, but I st

Kenny and Pete share their best interviews from the Shrine Game and Senior Bowl. They also breakdown the upcoming Super Bowl. Check it out here or on touchdownsandtangents.com.Aren't y'all tired of these cloud chasing and no chemistry having. Over the hill? Hey, good radio podcasts who just ride no culture, legal tice commentary. We actually got something. This is Touchdowns and Tangents, your weekly spot for NFL takes topical tangents and context for the culture. So tune in, tune. In because you never know if you're gonna get it. Take a tangent, but either way, had the touchdowns? What's up? Good People Live from Hawthorne, California's Touchdowns and Tangents, your Thursday night spot for NFL takes topical tangents and concise commentary for the culture. I mp D Camill. Kenner Berry. Yeah, man, sorry, we were here last week. We were both traveling for a Shrine game slash Senior Bull. But we heard this week. Got a lot of show, got all of our coverage from those two weeks as well as obviously super Bowl coming up. Hall of Fame dropped, so lots of good stuff. You wanted to start with the super Bowl or the Hall of Fame? Can he. Let's start with the super Bowl and just get it out the way. So we got an Eagles Chiefs rematched the Chiefs are once again going for their three p. Shit. I don't know what else to say. The Eagles. I think they only have like two people remaining from that defense from two years ago, so relatively different teams, I think even the Chiefs. I mean they got a whole new receiver room. Their running back room is a little bit shifted now. Defense they've had some turnover and change. Obviously the core guys are still there, so yeah, I don't know what do you think, Anny, I just think the. Eagles passing their secondary, it's superior to the Chiefs. I would say the Chiefs linebackers might have a slight edge, but you got those two massive d tackles. I don't see how the Eagles don't turn this game very one dimensional, especially for the Chiefs. Like I don't see the Chiefs popping off five yards to carry against his Eagles. You know, four man in front, Zach Bonza was arguably the best linebacker of football this year. You got safeties who can come and cover tight ends. So for me, I just think it comes down to Saquon because the Chiefs can have a bad day, it's possible, but the Eagles are really firing on all sails right now. It's Cooper De John's birthday and Saquan's birthday. You know, stay the Super Bowl, no Eagles playing for any awards. I think the biggest question mark with Philadelphia is just Jalen Hurts health. I mean, he got banged up a little bit in the divisional round, but I mean there's been no obvious limitations on him. I mean and just looking at him, he hasn't been moving the same, but he's still out there moving. So I think it's more of like. It's kind of like Pat Mahomes's ankle a couple of years ago, pretty much like you know it's there, but it's not really there sort of thing. And I hope with the tush push thing, Saquan actually gets the ball and score some touchdowns because I don't want to see somebody on the Chiefs running over the top of the offensive line like Troy Polamolu or Franky every time out just to prevent a score. That's just not good football at all. Yeah. I think the biggest, uh, you know, X factor is really as you mentioned, Saquon, Like you know, he's not only just dangerous running the ball, but he could be a danger catching the ball out of the bad field. You know, if I'm Philadelphia, I'm giving him the ball early and often as possible, just trying to stay ahead of the chains, trying to keep Kansas City off the field. And then at that point then you can stretch it out to you know, AJ Brown or Davonte Smith. It's called dart, that. Was called dark. But I think everything's just got to kind of start off with Saquan just kind of try to wear down that defense and then hit him with a couple of strikes over the top. And I mean, I do think Jalen's probably gonna need to not make any mistakes. I mean, for the most part, he hasn't over the past two years. But you know he can't let and we know he won't because he's been in this situation and he's played a lot of you know, big games even through college, so we know, you know, the moment's not going to get too big for him. But you know this can't be the exception either, Like he has to keep that same poise that we know him for, because yeah, there could be a situation where he could suck it up, and I don't want to see that happen. I just hope the Reps don't take the game away like they did the last time these two teams played, because that holy called on Bradberry's bogus. It was truly bogus, especially on Juju, like come on, like, what are we saying? Let the players lose the game on the field, not because of a whistle at the worst possible time. And troy Aku even said he said, eventually, you're gonna have a problem because if more and more, if you have all these networks and gambling sites involved, and then somehow this one team constantly keeps getting bailed out, people are gonna question the genuacy of the sport for sure. What I was gonna say, Okay. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I don't think anyone really wants to see the Chiefs one a third one, but except Chiefs fans may be inevitable. Sadly, the Patriots three peat wasn't this disgusting and insufferable. It was just Tom Brady kept finding a way to be people and then they kick a game winning the field goal at the end, and he had a Hall of Fame defense most of his career. But you know, it's a whole nother story. Hall of Fame. Yeah, you see that that lead in beautiful Speaking of which of Hall of Fame, and you know, former Raiders quarterback Eric Allen is officially a Hall of Famer. He has like over fifty two career interceptions balled after the Jets, the Eagles, the Raiders, a couple other people. Then you factor in Antonio Gates arguably statistically the greatest title of all time for not counting Super Bowls, which is actually a team sport. But for some reason we'd like to keep people out of the Hall of Fame because they didn't win the Super Bowl, which is weird to me. But there's some like special teamer with like five championship rings who's never gonna make the Hall of Fame. Like there's some dude out here Robert Orring and we just act like. We act like that dude doesn't matter because he has eight rings, but because you don't have one, it's a problem. Whatever. Tonio Gates my tight end one all time. Personally, I'm starting from scratch and I'm starting winning. Tollio Gates had everything, speed, Julie size, ball skills, and he could block. He was a much better blocker than Tony Gonzalez and Travis Kelsey combined. He had to block for LT and Loweren, trust me, he had to block. It's just why would you waste all your time with the dude like that blocking. We should be getting him eighty to ninety catches a year, which at one point I think he led the league of touchdown catches either sixteen or thirteen. Like, he has the most touchdown catches in yards I think all time of any player who wasn't drafted, especially anybody who wasn't drafted the touchdown record for sure. I think has like one hundred and sixteen receiving touchdowns or one hundred and seventeen for his career. Truly one of the greatest tight ends and chargers of all time. About Rushmore, yeah, definitely spend a lot on my childhood yea on at the TV because of Antonio Gates, But props to him, as you mentioned, really redefined the position, and honestly it was an underrated blocker man. I don't think he gets enough credit for that. It was a better blocker than people give him credit for it. That's why he was able to stay on the field so much, and it's really what made him versatile being able to do both wasn't just hey, now we know it's a pass play because he's motioned out, Like, No, they'd motion meal to do picks and shipped too, and screen action sweeps all that. So yeah, man, good for Antonio Gates. Jared Allen got in. I think he should have been in too. I think both of those very long time ago. Actually, I think all three of those dudes could have easily been in for a while now. And lastly, Sterling Sharp, former Packers wide receiver had retired to the spinal senosis. Back injury. Steve Smith, Tory holt uh Luke, a couple other people did not get in. I just don't understand how they only picked four people. Are you not picking leaks seven or eight? Yeah, I don't know why they spend so much time gatekeeping the All of Fame, Like. There's a lot of great players you haven't put in yet, and the point is to put them in before they die. Imagine if we never imagine if you have to wait this whole life to get put in the Hall of Fame. I just don't really see a benefit towards making people wait if you know they're being anyways, Like sound like you can't vote for one or the other. Like you know what I'm saying, like. Kickley should have been a first ballot, but I understand why if Patrick Willis was at first ballot. Either. I'm just saying, like the first bout, second bout, third bout, like that shit really matters. That you got in. But that's what I'm saying is like, I don't know why people put such. A the meaning the lady did that if Michael doesn't go in as a first battle of Hall of Famer, like, well, then your Hall of Fame is not legitimate. Pete Rose Barry Bonnch. The asshole who uh didn't vote Eachie Ro so he could be unanimous. The media did this. The media made this about them. That's why dudes who don't get in on the first try, then you're like, oh, well, his chances are significantly going down. How because you're not voting in the people. That's why there's a long Jamin receiver. That's why there's kind of a law jam at running back. Because you got Corey Dillon and Marshawn Lynch, you would say, yeah, those are two of the greatest running backs of all time. And if their running backs with better numbers than Terrell Davis. Why the fuck can't they get in Clinton portis bor

Touchdowns and Tangents here, TD is underscore tangents on Twitter and Instagram, Touchdowns and Tangents dot Com. Sorry, I'm once again without our regular drops. I swear I'm gonna get them next week. I just gotta, like b Dangle, putting my house back together post Christmas and find where the flask striver is. But yeah, once I do that, have everything back to normal. Anyways, we're once again not live because Speaker hates us. But whatever, we're day late. But there hasn't really been any football this week, so it's not like you missed much. And considering there were two major coaching hires today, we actually pretty much waited for the perfect time. As always, I'm joined by everyone's favorite NFL ticket operator, the quietest loud guy, uh, your draft analysis, your draft analysts, favorite draft analyst, UH, the man with no shortage of names. Kenny Saint James Barry. But not all y'all can call me Kenned. There's nothing, there's nothing Kenny likes more than an impromptu extended intro for no reason. Yeah, I don't know if you feel good. I appreciate that, but yeah, not all y'all can call me. I'm gonna assume you're a first name, and you've never goned me by my first name. That's crazy, that's disrespectful almost, Isn't that funny how that flipped? Weird? Kids? Everybody like you got called a nickname. You're like, I don't like that, and then you realize I actually liked that nickname. And now it's like everybody gets called everything but their name. Yeah, pretty much identify as everything but Kenned. I'm just kidding. I wouldn't want to be anybody for me, but be me that she will be lame. All right, Well, rest in peace, good rest in peace to a legend. Those are those of you, those of you who remember, if you do remember that two step infamous DJ. I don't know why the hell I'm figuring his name right now, isn't it dj unk or dj unk? Yes? DJ rest in peace? He was forty three, he passed, he died today, infamous and that was a local song, Like he had two local songs that went global and he's gone now twenty twenty five is not playing. They're not really caring what happens. People are just going. But yeah, that song is like the soundtrack to my my young adult adolescent life. Had to walk it out of my room earlier too. It was. It's kind of sad, but yeah, recipees to a legend from Atlanta, A real one we don't talk enough about. They talk about the one hit Wonders, But like Bro, they kept the streets hot, they kept the club like, they kept people in the clubs. Like for all the shit that gen zers give millennials, you sure do love our music. You sure to get turned up to our music. You sure to make bad life choices and give us bastard siblings to that same music that you swear that. Uh you're like, this is terrible, but you danced to it. You shook ass to it. You gave us stepsisters and step brothers to that same music. Yes, I'm looking at you, the entire Confessions album. But anyway, Yeah, just have to say that rest in peace. We lost a couple of people this year, all right. Moving on to the coaching hires, A bunch that happened already. Uh, the latest one just dropped a couple hours ago. The Cowboys hire their offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer as head coach. Six. I really have no idea where this came from I don't understand how you fire Mike McCarthy, a super Bowl winning coach, only to hire one of his minions, an offensive coordinator who have been fired kind of disastrously at his last two places with the Jets and the Seahawks. So yeah, I don't really know what the Cowboys are doing. Hope Jerry Jones is not losing his mind, it doesn't have dementia and doesn't end up getting the Wendy Williams slash say treatment. That you're gonna get us thrown into a black site. But yeah, I'm going to Texas tomorrow. I need you to not like just say that, but yeah, thoughts on the shot and hummer hi, I mean, good for him? What are you gonna do? Say? No, it's not like he was ever gonna get another job anywhere else. Like literally, this is like unless he's another Jason Witton, I mean Jason, Uh, We'll still Jason. Why I'm not winning Garrett? Jason Garrett feels like another Jason Garrett situation where really he's just a head coach and title and that's it because it's still Jerry show. I don't know who is defensive coordinator is gonna be. But you gotta you got a team that's built pretty good. They got guiding in the first round. They've rebuilt that offensive line. You don't even talk about Tyrone Smith anymore. Like across the board. They've rebuilt that offensive line. They've rebuilt the defensive line. They just have to pay Micah. Their corners have to get healthy, you know, Darran Bland, Trayvon Diggs. They might sign more in the offseason, TCU safety. You know. I just think Jerry doesn't want to blow this up. I mean, look how old he is, Like you signed Dak, You're in this till the wheels fall off. So I would say, yes, this is a weird hire. I mean, but also you want to you don't want a big name. You just want a guy who's gonna get the job done. I wonder what he said in the meeting of what he would do different than McCarthy. To really kind of swade Jones. He probably was told him. Like like, he probably told him he's gonna just listen to him more. Honestly. He made Rico a star player this year. I mean, but the running back death was the steps back. The running back room looked like trash going into the season, the Henrico became a star player for the Cowboys offense so much so they cut Zeke so that yeah, yeah, but I'm saying, like the all the OC kept that offense going with Cooper Rush and Dack out, So it's like, hey, I'm the one thing holding I'm the one thing holding the offense together. I guess let me have the full reigns. We can be more aggressive. We can do things to actually help this defense. You know, they Cowboys don't need a quarterback. They could just take genty or they could just take you know, Eye Blue Carder. They could literally just load. They could strengthen their defense and then just build the rest of the team through the draft. And I think you probably if you're a guy like that like Shottenheimer, like, look, who my dad is. I made a name for myself outside of my father. The league kind of owed the shot and Hunter family. Let's be real, I mean been around the league for a while. Yeah on that, But I'm just saying, like, your dad got fired after going fourteen and two and never coached again, and then he eventually passed, he eventually died. The league owed the Shottenheiner family was old one, same way. Shanahan finally got it right, Like I'm not gonna hate because you know, the man elevated. Good for him. There were much better candidates. But Jerry wants what Jerry wants, and whatever vision he pitched. I think that's what Schottenheimer did. So good for him for keeping the OC job and getting the head coaching job. I would have I mean, I would have went with more personally. I mean, but you he's he's in Philly. Why would you go back? Why would you leave as the O C. You didn't they didn't. Want, they didn't want you to be a head coach the first time? Why would you. I'm not gonna live. I'm not gonna put myself in a position where you can reject me twice and then I lose out on potentially a Super Bowl opportunity with the Eagles because the Saints job is still available now. Yeah, Saints job was the last one left last time I checked. Yeah, so. All right, you know Jaguars hired uh Tampa Bay Buccaneers or see Liam. The Jaguars had interviewed a number of candidates. The Jaguars had interviewed a number of candidates, including Robert Saler and Patrick Graham. They ultimately went with Cohen. I think they were to say something about, we're. Gonna talk about the details of how he got hired, Y, let's talk about it. Feel like we should wait to talk about the details. Let's just judge it on its merit, all right. So keep in mind, Baker Mayfield is out on his eighth offensive coordinator in eight years, Lian Cohen, Liam Cohen. That's why the Raiders would have been perfect. Baker would have been a perfect Raider. They could have signed him, they could have revamped his team. He's not a free agent. He just signed. But when he was a free agent, they could have paid him when he had like no value, and they gave Minshew thirty million dollars, which I will never forgive. Yeah, So when it comes down to it, you know, Liam Cohen was off the coordinator for the Buccaneers. He made that offense go. Baker Mayfield said, franchise records and touchdown passes. I think he like was near up to the league. He was like leading the league in picks with

But yeah, let's touchdowns and Tangents live from Hopthorne, California. There's just something so intimate that comes from, you know, just having these original sounds that we had when we originally started. But as always, I'm joined by. Kenneth Barry and uh yeah, man, we're just here so we won't get fined. But no, and all serious, all seriousness, Divisional round coming up. I was talking to Kenny earlier. It feels weird to not have any games going on in the middle of the week. No college football playoff, no bowl games, no fcs, no Friday night lights, no playoffs. Nothing, just we're just pretty much waiting for these last few games to go down in the divisional round and then obviously the College Football Playoff, which we'll get to a little bit later. But with all that, what will what will you remember from this past World Card Week weekend? Kenny? M hm uh, Mostly that the Vikings really are like Sam Donald. Sam Donald had all that cachet and just blew it. Yeah, Sam Donald, who I thought he was? He really fumbled the bag he shipped down his leg. I mean, you'll still get a good deal. He'll still get a'll still get, but he's not gonna get the he could have. Got, probably for the multi year crazy deal before. He probably could have got forty million. Probably still throw throw ten twenty million at him or he probably he killing with Gardner Mischian guy. He threw thirty five touchdowns, bro, I know he looked. That's like the most for a dude who just was ass He's interceptions ratio was amazing, like he literally Well, the whole thing is, think about it this way. That defensive line the first time they played was like pretty much a rookie young defensive line. By the time they played in the playoffs, they're no longer a rookie. They played a full season. You know, at that point, you're sophomore. It's a whole new new game. So they really made the difference, obviously, Jerry versus guy you you've been advocating for since the Rams took him, a guy you were advocating for before the combine. Even so, Yeah, I mean the Rams just shown ability to build it. I mean, I think we talked about it earlier in the season. They pretty much just took the values of Aaron Donald and just like scaled it to different young players, spread it across defensive line. It's crazy, and it's like the Raiders could have had two cornerstone pieces on defense and an extra draft picky. Well, for me, what I'll remember obviously is just man that the end of the Empire really showed out man c J. Stroud. Everyone was talking smack about him all year and rightfully so. I mean he was underperformer, especially if you had him in fantasy, but he him and the Texans really showed out. You know. The Chargers did what they always do. They came out lackluster. And I told you that from the get go. I told you that as it was going on, like Chargers are going to lose this game. The Chargers could have easily been up twenty one to nothing, like they got a lot of things going their way, but they just kept getting in their own way and not capitalizing. And I was just like, I've seen this before, but this team starts out slow like that, They're not going to be able to beat Houston on the road. I don't care how good of a coach Tarbon is. Sure enough, you know, Herbert had probably one of the worst games of his career, and now Khalil Max is talking about retiring, which which is pretty crazy to think about that old but he's don't make any birthday but it makes sense for him, I mean, no, he can think he could still ring Chase with the Chiefs Chickens. Ring Chase, go to Baltimore, Ring Chase, go to Baltimore. Please Kylevin always having had a career year twelve and a half sacks. But yeah, back to my original point, I mean, Stril showed out they get the advance over a Charger team that was favored even though they were on the road. And then on the other side he got. Ricky Jade and Daniels, the guy you've been calling offensive rookie of the Year since like week two or three, so cold is to use that, But he also showed out Commanders advance and really, statistically, rookies don't really win playoff games like that. So the fact that he did that on the Commanders, which a year ago was by far the worst roster I mean, or one of the worst rosters maybe besides the Panthers, and you took that team to the playoffs like that's borderline MVP, not just Rookie of the Year, like if they actually voted for MVP, like especially if he somehow wins this game, which honestly is kind of like it's possible because now, mind you the Lions, I mean, they had a week off, they've had some injuries, but if they come out flat that young that commander team is both young and hungry and also experienced, so anything could happen in that game. But back to my original point, how you showed up Jane Daniels out of Sa Maurino c J Stroud at a ranchall Kokamonga. It's really validating the nine on nine nine one. I know they got a bunch of other random ARA codes out there now, but that's essentially the foundation of it. But anyways, moving on to. The divisional round, we got the Rams Eagles. I guess we can just start there since we already talked a lot about it. But for me, Kenny never rushes me, why are you rushing me right now? What do you? What do you rushing me do? I was in a groove and like you were kind of I wanted you to pick up the energy a little bit. Okay, what do you, what do you need me to do? Act like you care, Act like you act like you want to. Act like Aaron Barry after the after the game, when he wouldn't stop talking about when's the Raiders game? Pete Kenny? When's the Raiders game? Peter Kenny? All right, obviously everyone thinks the Eagles are gonna win this game. How are the Rams gonna win it? Honestly, they have a smarter coach, their defense is playing lights out. They just have to really just stop Satuan. It's gonna be hard because the Eagles offensive line is the reason why they beat the ship out of the Rams the first time. Jaalen Hurts is faster than any linebacker. Inside linebacker. They have an A. J. Brown can toast any dB on that field, as well as DeVonta Smith Dallas Go Dart. The problem, like the variety of the Eagles offense and their offensive line and their defense being the best in the league, is like they're the most complete team left. You know, just Sirianni and Hurts gotta be in sync, and you gotta feed Taekwana ball. But the Rams really just have to come out aggressive, have a smart game plan, short quick passes, you can't. You're not gonna be able to throw deep on his defense, You're gonna have to take advantage of Philly's uber athletic front seven established a run early, don't get caught in a lot of third and lungs. Be in a position to where you can always go for it fourth and four, fourth and five. For me, it comes down to and Cooper, Cup and Pooka gotta show up. Cooper, Cup and Pooka definitely have to show up. For me, it comes down to the Rams. The Rams linebackers. Like you mentioned Sekwan Barkley, He's a beast. We all know that not only can he run you over, but he can also take it to the sins and so they not only need to be able to match his speed, but they also need to be able to tackle him, and that could be an issue, especially with Godart going over the middle as you mentioned. So for me, I'm looking at the linebackers and safeties like they gotta have an exceptional game this next week. In addition to that, I mean you talked about it the interior line, they're gonna have the biggest challenge as well. I mean, the. Rams are capable of running the ball that's when they've been the best is when they're controlling it with Kiren and they're hitting big chunk plays off the play action to Puka and Cooper Cup and company. If they can do that, they got a chance. It's gonna be cold. So I think that'll move in Philly's favor. I think overall, we think of Philia is a much more physical team. But the way the Rams played this past week, and I mean, I don't I don't think they're afraid of anyone. I think they are playing like they have nothing to lose, and I think in some ways that's really kind of ignited some extra fire back in McVeigh and Stafford. But yeah, I think this is still phil These game to lose, no matter how you break it down. All Right, the other game commander's lines. Gotta be honest. If the doll if the if the Lions and Golf come out slow at all in the first half, their commanders will jump on them. Their defense will jump on them. Imagine Jonathan Allen's just imagine the dudes in that defense have been there for so long. You gotta buy the plane one of them is on. I know that, I think, And yeah, the fact that they've just been through so much, like they got veterans at every level enough to make plays. You really just have to contain aman Rah and Gibbs, which is a lot. There's a lot of moving parts in that offense. But Jared Goff is thrown to have a Sam Donald Sam Donald kind of game. Some of it some of it is dumb luck like, so it'll be a tip pass and it's two picks right there. They're both playing. Okay, so they're both playing. They're long one of the longest team in the veterans on that team, they they've never been closer to a Super Bowl. And right now I think the Commanders are playing with house money. And Jane Daniels is a dog. He don't like losing. Neither. Is this scary Terry Brian Robertson's good enough, Eckler's good enough. They just have to keep moving the chains. The Lions can't really afford any more any more injuries at all, like they could be getting gashed. They've been gashed by lesser teams like look, so you know, if I think the only way the Commanders gets something going early is if they can, you know, take advantage of Kirby Joseph's aggressive. It's gonna be hard. Tha

    TDT Wild Card Weekend 2024

Kenny and Pete break down the NFL Playoff matchups, the CFB Championship, LA Fires and more. What's up, good people. I promise I'll get our sounds back next week. But Touchdowns and Tangents not live anymore. But here from Hawthorne, California, Thursday, nice spot for NFL takes Topical Tangents pushed today's episode to Friday due to the College Football Playoff today, but Kenny was supposed to be there, but unfortunately city's kind of burning, And yeah, the whole Midwest is under snow, so I'm blaming. The city of I'm just blaming Houston and Dallas Airports for not properly holding people's flights together and then giving people joint getting people flights out of connective flights and then canceling their connective flights and leaving them stranded in multiple cities. So yeah, and it wasn't really worth seven hundred dollars to be stranded in Houston in a storm, three hours away from where I needed to be, and then if I got there, I'd still be like four hours late and missed like the game. But yeah, so we y'all want to talk about as far as the College Football Playoff National Championship game is now determined, gonna be nore Dame in Ohio, State. They also got Wildcar Weekend going down this weekend, the Rams had to move there Monday night matchup with the Vikings to Phoenix. Glendale technically, but yeah, there's on. The Cardinal Stadium, which is ironically State Farm Arena, which is pretty evil if you think about it, because State Farm disavowed a lot of people's fire insurance and then the whole city burned down, or at least the outer limits of the city burnt down. And now there are people who literally put their whole lives into a house and the only thing they were looking forward to was a Rams game at so Far instead, So now you got to sell those tickets to hopefully get some money to probably get a generator. So you know, you and your family are somewhere to lay or be. And it's at State Farm Arena, and ironically the Rams they could very well beat the Vikings ironically. So yeah, it's interesting, very interesting times. Yeah. So outside of that, I mean, just to wrap up the NFL season, I mean, we talked about it last week with the Seahawks missed the playoffs with ten wins, even beating the Rams in the final game meaningless game. The Bengals needed the Chiefs to beat the Broncos to have a chance to get in. And well, the Chiefs got molliwop because they basically rested most of their starters. And yeah, the Bengals didn't get in and they felt talty about it, but that's the way goes. What else happened last week? The All Pro team came out. Yeah, Leanna Williams didn't make the All Pro Team or the Pro Bowl. Well do you have like what eight dexame sacks or something? Yeah, and he had like two defensive touchdowns. I mean, don't go to read off the list. I mean you can if you want. People could just look it up. Rock Powers made All Pro as a rookie. I mean he broke dead cuz eighty year record and the catch record. Finally, I'm in Ron Sak Brown's gets stepped that All Pro Jamar Chase, justin Jefferson, I'm in Ron Saint Brown. It's kind of hard to disagree with that. We also got. Tristan Wurbs, We got Lamar Saquan Patrick recrd Joe Thuney for the Chiefs, Creed Humphrey, Quinn Minnards for the Denver Broncos. Penaisawell got First team All Pro over Lane Johnson. Ed rushers were Miles Garrett, Cam Hayward got it at d tackle Chris Jones. Those two got it over the Williams. Miles Garrett Trey Hendrickson were the two ed rushers. A linebackers Zach Bond, Fred Warner, Rokwan Smith corners, Patrick Satan the second, Derek Stingley Junior. Finally, they have a slot position. They have a slot quarterback position, which confused the hell out of me because usually it's just three or four corners, but Marlon Humphrey was the slot corner. First team All Pro, Kirby Joseph Xavier McKinney. They were the top interception getters at safety, Kirby Joseph being the first because he had nine. Chris Boswell for the Steelers, All Pro kicker, Jack Punter for the Lions, Cavante Turpin Dallas. That dude's a magician with the football in his hands. Returning. MARKT. Madhams Junior was the pump returner. Brandon Brendan's schooler was an All Pro special teamer for New England. And Andrew Depaola is a long snapper. Second team offense, we got Josh Allen, Derrick, Henry Cole, Juice Chick, George Kittle, Ty McClaren, Ceedee, lamb aj Brown, Jordan Mylotta at left tackle, Quentin Nelson mister Notre Dame, Frank Ragnall for Detroit. If you didn't know, Quentin Nelson plays for the Colts. Chris Lindstrom for Atlanta at right guard. Lane Johnson got second team All Pro right tackle second team. Ironically, there's an asterix. I think it's a tie. I guess, I don't know. That's weird. T J Watt, Nick Benito. T J. Watt out of. Pittsburgh, Nick Benito for diver. He had a career year, Raiders passed on him. Andrew Rankinkle had another crew year in Minnesota. Material alignment. So Zach Allen for the. Denver Broncos was the second team All Pro. That's very interesting, so I guess that answer. Jerymner Williams question. Bobby Wagner. And Zaire Franklin where the second team All Pro linebackers, Which is wild because Bobby Wagner is an All Pro in like year fifteen. Yeah, crazy, especially because the last three years he had a ways just kind of bounced around. Yeah, but he was still productive. That's the crazy thing. All right. So here's what might pish you off for trigger you. So second team corner All Pro, Trip McDuffie, Kansas City Chiefs. Yes, the Raiders passed on him. Christian Gonzales, New England Patriots, second team All Pro. The guy who went. He fell to seventeenth overall. He was considered one of the best corners in that draft. He went at seventeen. You want to know who the Raiders took that year, Tyree Wilson at seven. It's Tyree Wilson at All Pro. They've had the same amount of years, the same amount of time, and Christian goan Zales got hurt his rookie year. It didn't even play the whole year. So yeah, I'm gonna just leave y'all with that. Raider Nation. Also, Uh, slot cornerback Derwin James. That's interesting because I'm pretty sure he's the safety, but they got him at slot corner, second team All Pro. The safety's at All Pro, Kyle Hamilton and Buddha Baker. Uh, this is all the This is interesting because placekicker Brandon Aubrey from the Cowboys second team Logan Cook, Jacksonville Jaguars punter. I don't know how the hell this happened, but Austin Eckler is an All Pro this year. Guess at what position? No kick returner. I don't remember him returning a kick for a touchdown, but hey whatever, Khalif Ramon got a punt returner. He definitely returned one for a touchdown this year. J T. Gray for the Saints special teamer, which is ironic because he was on the Chargers too when he went to Baylor long snapper was rossmatistic for the Jaguars. That's your All Pro team, right there? Any real objections? Yeah? I mean, so that's coming out. Snoop is gonna also be at the NFL, gonna be hosting the NFL Honors, So it's gonna be very interesting this playoff season. It's funny because at this press event that they had at the CS conference, I was at one of these companies hired like an actor that looked like Snoop and like one of my covers was like, is that stupid? Is that? I was like, are you sure that's not Snoop? And they're like ah, nods, like bh bah he had the whole aesthetic, and I was like, I don't know. I mean, his jewelry is nice, but his shoes are kind of whatever did he say color? And I was like, and honestly, I don't think Snoop would be here this earlier, at this kind of an event, and honestly, if it was Snoop, you would smell him. And honestly, that dude was like barely want to start than me. He's not six four years so yeah, I don't know, so is it kind of racist? But anyway, so the night goes on and like there's using this actor as like a you know, product spokesperson or whatever, like I don't know, celebrity ambassador. And then sure enough one of this our media friends was like, oh, I meant Snoop people showing all the selfies. Like et cetera. And then my boss is like it wasn't Snoop, Like he's like, what do you mean. He's like I talked to the guy who hired him, like he's my friend. Yeah, that's an actor. They've done that before. It was just funny, but it's just crazy, Like I was calling them Snoop Bee because it's like that's his backup Snoop. I was like, that's the AI Snoop. That's not actual, the real Snoop. But you can't say Snoop Bee because that's definitely a violation. It's she's a crip, yeah for sure. But it was a play on words. No, but you literally can't say that because he's a crip. Yeah, but you would get packed out if you said that in front of him anyway, you. Don't understay gang culture. You can't say that even I know what's a joke. Anyway, it was. It was a funny play on words that civilians can laugh At. The point that I was trying to make is that snoobie everywhere? So yeah, that's all I was trying to say. Didn't it feel kind of racist stuff a little bit? I mean kind of yeah, because I'm pretty sure that it's. Hard to find that dude with his skin text, his skin complexion exactly like him like that. You probably find the light skin due that he put the makeup on or somebody got like a professional makeup artisan. Now I kind of want to know how how they how fully they committed to the role. It's kind of interesting though, it's fun like that would seem like a fun thing to do. Trick people, just trick people into thinking you're rapster deep faking. Yeah, I mean there's not really many people I can I can do because like Sean Kingston's in prison and I kind of don't want to channel that energy. But I mean, yeah, speaking of prison energy, and you know, potentially being out of commission Sashaun Watson towards towards a Quillers again, he raptures the aequillers again, uh training, and now he might not play at all next season. I mean, I think that's better for everyone Mary because except him,

I'm p d Camio. He is alive in Tony twenty five and I can't wait to see that documentary that my coworker told me about that Austin Eckler's sister's wife is in because she's currently in a cult where they're forcing people to stay in the house and do weird ass tiktoks. What documentary is that? I think it's kind of darkness. Let me checked because he texted to me as wow, yeah, because it really I was fascinated when he told me. Uh but yeah, man, everyone out here fighting for the last fight with the variation of the flu, cold, covid allergies and. Just you know, seasonal depression. But yeah, can you just gonna drink his fucking day quill and go to sleep? Which is insidious, but I mean, I'm definitely gonna hit two bends on the way out the door. Shout out to speaker for getting rid of live recording so yeah, this isn't live anymore for the first time in a long time. So shout out, shout out to like medicine that stops your nose from running but then gives you a very insidious hackey cough, Like why why is a side effect of cough medicine a dry, irritating, and painful cough that may result in cough without blood. Explain that to me. If I took penicillin, I shouldn't get fucking aids. Bro, That's all I'm saying. It's wild out here, like sheesh, because your your lungs can still be swollen and inflamed even if you don't have as much a mucus as I have a DVD. Spazzing with no fluid in there to to. You know, make it easier. I mean that's really what a cough is is trying to push out the bad shit. But if you don't have that, then you're just pushing with no fluid. Like a cough is directly related to anxiety. No cuffs are related to inflammation. Also, you just it's actual sneezing. It just involuntary happens. I mean noise, yes, say no. But there's also reasons why some people cough more than others. There's environmental reasons, genetic reasons, et cetera. Yeah, because we Yeah. Anyways, moving on, Uh, a lot of football played this past week. We had the college football playoffs. We had a week seventeen in the NFL season. Most of the playoff spots are pretty much locked in at this point. Now, it's just kind of a matter of seeding. I think there's only like one or two games out really matter. Yeah, but they're insane because like the Lines have won more games than they ever wanted franchise history, and if they beat the Vikings, they're literally the number one overall seed and if you know, whichever team loses automatically becomes the five seeds. But the crazy thing fit with fourteen wins. But the crazy thing is like the Lions could have lost last week and still I'm playing for first place this week. Yep. But they whooped up on the Niners and got there. They got the back of blood. Yeah, and then the Rams are pretty much in. Well, the the Rams are in, well the Seahawks, and then you still have to play to get in. They have to win and somebody else has to lose and then I figure, what cartoon? That's wrong, it's from It's from No, it's from Dude, Where's My Car? I feel like that's from it was from a cartoon, and then and then and then no, it's from do where my car? Where My car? Is? Like two thousand, bro, that's twenty five years ago. It's crazy. Just think about right. No, fuck no, seriously, that's twenty five years ago. I'm not okay with that. That's most of our lives. Like I'm thirty two, means I was about to be eight when that ship came out. We had no business watching that ship at eight years old. It was hill of titties in there, though, Like the amount of underwear shots almost makes me uncomfortable now, Like why was there so much upskirt in that movie? That ship is like you remember that it is crazy. Hardcorese off pour bro, like it was it was a blimp because that was like the culture. It was because Ashon could. It was really stupid, dorky, fucking cartoonish buffoon and ship that like eventually made its way to college. Like they really just been kind of training us since we were kids, Like we definitely got groomed watching some of these movies. So yeah, it's looking like that movie wasn't even funny, bro except for the end Fox's part. So it's looking like the AFC is virtually locked up if the Broncos win. If they lose, it's looking like either the Dolphins or the Bengals can get in. I definitely don't see the Dolphins getting even if they beat the Jets, the Bengals. And they play the Browns. No, they played as Steelers, I'm sorry. The Bengals have to win to get in. The Steelers already have a playoff spot. And the Broncos are playing the Chiefs. The Broncos have to win, which. The Chiefs are probably gonna rest their starters. Now Carson's gonna be starting. Ain't playing Wentz? Yes, Carson Wentz. Shoot the perfect backup quarterback for them. Get you get your money lines ready? I guess. I mean, I don't bet, but you know somebody's gonna win. Somebody can win this game. I'm or whatever or record or what never whatever. Oh no, the end is locked up pretty much. The Buccaneers they have to win to the South is still open with the Buccaneers and the Falcons. The Commanders just the Commanders. Just the Buccaneers have the Saints and the Falcons have the Panthers. So if they both win, the Buccaneers in yep. But yeah, the Serions the Falcons swept the season series. But yeah, the Buccaneers have to lose for the Falcons. The Falcons have to win and the Buccaneers have to lose. The Seahawks are basically gonna miss it either you know, nine and eight or the seven, which they're probably gonna beat the Rams because the Rams are gonna reast their starters and they usually beat the Rams. Anyways, as what he take games and you don't the playoffs crazy, NFL's gonna have to change the playoff seeding because it doesn't make any sense for or not with team to host the first round playoff game just because you wore your division. The college football Playoff is gonna be the undoing of the NFL playoff structure. I mean, LOOKI lookie. You can't say, oh, we can't play twelve teams. Because very college playing sixteen games a year they coming to the league and not to player seventeen. Like, yeah, you're gonna. Like the Vikings should be hosting a playoff game, not the Buccaneers. On the other side of like you' said, fourteen wins already on. The other side of the spectrum, New England's currently sitting in the number one pick slot. Tennessee right behind them, followed by Cleveland and the Giants, all only have three wins. The Raiders have fallen to the eight spots to say one another game. They're in step with the Jaguars, Panthers, Jets, and Bears, all with four wins. Imagine being Davonte enforcing your way to the Jets, only to have the same amount of wins and actually be the worst team. And that hit a thousand yards receiver. Wow, he for sure would have hit a thousand if you would have stayed with the Raiders. But whatever, it's his legacy. Uh yeah, man, outside of that college football all right, bet so. Or you the number one overall seed got that ship clapped, just clapped like cheeks pushed in domain expansion, unilateral cheek clapping like that's pretty much what. Happened every multiverse. Same time. They got like they got health like negative twenty six rushing yards, which is wild knowing what they have on offense. They went down like three scores in the first half. Yes, because Jeremiah Smith is Julio Jones and AJ Green combined, but with like Percy Harvin speed. To take for you. Yeah, him and Ryan Williams. And guess what, he's only nineteen, He just turned nineteen. He's got six five. He said he was sixty five on the graphic. Jeremiah Smith, they said he was six five. Broe bro, he like six three, bro. They said he was six five. He's listed at six five. Bro. I swear to god, he's listening. I believe what you're saying. But I'm telling you, these schools always added a couple of inches oor nextrame. Remember they said Marvin Harrison was six five. They said Choyce Smith was six three. Y'all believe that ship too, are y'all y'all believe Choyce Smith was six three. I know he's listed at six three, but they had him at the graph on the graphic at six five. Yeah. They do that because they want to compare him the Calvin. But it's like, dude, there's only one Calvin for a fucking reason, because nobody saw a dude like Calvin Johnson coming. Nobody like nobody, nobody. Yeah, Okay, point. Imagine if kept their recruit crazy, he was an one I think he's an one player in the standent. No, he was. He lost to Sean McGray. I think for number one player, to Stan to Georgia. Who cow Johnson talking. About Jeremiah Spent he was the number one recruit in Florida or No, he's out of Florida, he's out of Miami. Yeah, I mean they wouldn't go do nothing with him. Look at Miami. They wouldn't. They wouldn't. High State's the best place, Brian Hartline is. It's producing elite receivers, all pro receivers. Saying that, I'm just saying Florida. If any of the Florida schools a
