High Maintenance Web Series
Given the unfortunate lack of weed media we are choosing to do High Maintenance in 2 parts; the webseries and the tv show on HBO. Both are magic and deserve their own time, but we also needed to take up some space on the episodes. This show has definitley stood out for both of us among the stereotypical weed media floating around, it was such a vibe. The episodes are short, sweet and packed full of human experiences that The Guy meets from selling weed in NYC. We fully recommend watching this show before you listen but the spoilers are minimal.

Movie: Pineapple Express with The Cinemaniacs
We are going back back to 2008 with this classic stoner/action/buddy comedy! The Cinemaniacs join us once agaon for one of our favorites. Arguably the best of the best in it's genre, quotable for days and just an overall hilarious movie. This movie was so iconic that the fictional strain became a real life one in honor of this film. We ask the questions: Why was Franco cancelled? Does the movie hold up? Was Red the true hero or just a dude trying to survive?

So here is Invincible-our second to last episode to end the Super Hero season. In this episode we have an extra special guest, Jacob-Catt's son. He was the one that got us into watching this show, so we figured it would be only natural to have him on to talk about it. We Haz Much Excite: Peacmaker
This one was one i think we both were very surprised to love so much! John Cena is an absolute treasure in this show; it's a continuation of DC's Suicide Squad with some returning players and some fresh meat. This comedy is so adult and in the best ways, very possibly the best thing to come from DC in a long time. From the opening sequences to the spectacular Hair Band soundtrack, this show has everything we want in a series, the fact that it is also a anti/super hero story just makes it bop that much harder.

Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) isn’t your average lawyer—she’s navigating her career, her dating life, and her unexpected transformation into a 6’7” green superhero. We’ll break down how the show blends classic Marvel action with sharp sitcom humor, from fourth-wall-breaking gags to cameos by familiar MCU heavyweights like Bruce Banner, Wong, and Daredevil. We’ll also explore the series’ fresh take on superhero law, its feminist undercurrent, and how it leans into meta-commentary about toxic fandom and Marvel tropes. Expect behind-the-scenes trivia, character deep dives, and plenty of laughs as we discuss how She-Hulk redefined what a Marvel show could be—more sitcom than saga, more sass than smash.Whether you loved the cameos, the courtroom chaos, or the risk-taking finale, this episode is your guide to why She-Hulk is one of the MCU’s boldest and most talked-about experiments.

Deep Dive: Legion Season 2
MORAL AMBIGUITY!! That seems to be the only thing that is real in season 2 of Legion. Picking up a year later after David's "disappearance" the season plunges us even deeper into the Summerland vs Division 3 battle. We break down the tippy narrative structure from the maze like mental world with Jon Hamm. We question literally everything and everyone's motives. We get Syd's sad backstory and her struggle for autonomy. It's a morally bankrupt shit show and we are HERE. FOR. IT.

Reading is FUNdamental: Interview with a Vampire
#2 in our Interview with a Vampire block is the original book by Anne Rice, published in the 1970's. This og Southern Gothic tale started it all for the "Vampires have feelings too" story line. Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles paved the way for the new era of Vampire story telling that is still prevalent today. Sad, sexy, brooding, emotional Louis and cocky, snobby and dangerous Lestat, a match made in Hell! Listen as Trashmouth who is a first time read tells us what she thinks about this book.Very few spoilers!

Gone Too Soon: Penny Dreadful
We are back with our Gone Too Soon episode the dark and twisted Penny Dreadful. We just really wanted to cover this hauntingly beautiful story and what better time to talk about it than during our Vampire season.Penny Dreadful takes place in Victorian Era London which is arguably one of the best London eras to date--aside from all dirty air and tuberculosis. Vanessa Ives the main character is fighting for her soul and her life with the help of some recognizable literary characters and a badass ensemble cast. Eric, his children and his...grandchild are the only ones even trying to get sh!t done, per usual. Deep Dive: True Blood; Season 5
Well, here we go into the decent of the True Blood tv series. Though this season may not be the worst of the worst seasons in the series, it is DEFINITELY up there. So, I hope y'all are buckled up and ready for these hot takes, because Season 5 of True Blood is a whole mess of fangs, freaks, and vampire politics gone off the rails. We got the Vampire Authority acting like a supernatural cult, Lilith’s bloody fever dreams turning your fave vamps into religious nutcases, and Bill Compton deciding to go full Billith (yes, Bill + Lilith = Billith... we’re still not over it).Meanwhile, Eric’s out here trying to keep it together, Tara’s dealing with her new undead life, and Sookie’s still stuck in the middle of everyone’s drama. Also, shoutout to Russell Edgington—because when he’s on screen, it’s always unhinged excellence. We’ll break down the wildest twists, the cringiest moments (ahem, fairy nightclub), and why this season made us question every vampire hierarchy decision ever.

Deep Dive: True Blood; Season 3
We are calling this one "Season of the Weres" because we meet some hot werewolves, some "nazohot"-see what we did there- werewolves and some inbred werepanthers from the STICKS! By the way; Catt is never going to get over the fact that we never get to meet Quinn the weretiger (from the books) in the show!!! Damn it! He was a treasure. This season Russell Edgington, the king of Louisiana hatches a diabolical plan. A psychopathic vampire obsesses over Tara. Sam meets his makers. Sookie meets Alcide (purrrrrs) and tries to find Bill after he's kidnapped by a nazi werewolf pack. We get some Eric the Viking family lore. Jess and Hoyt try again and Jason finds himself involved with a pretty little sisterwife werepanther from Hotshot-that everyone probably could have done without. Thankfully the last 4 episodes redeem what could have been a filler season if it weren't for some brilliant writing and it ends as all True Blood seasons SHOULD!

One and Done: Watchmen (tv series)
Welcome back to WE HAVE TO GO BACK! In this episode we are talking about the critically acclaimed HBO series Watchmen, based on Alan Moore's graphic novel. It was created by Damon Lindelof and as you know we are big fans of his stories and adaptations. This isn't just a superhero story though; for one it has a black female as it's lead in a superhero story which we love and has never been done before. The story itself is a complex narrative about race, history, and justice. We talk a little about the original story from the graphic novel and movie; it's tones, themes and characters that return in the show. We talk as always of the incredible ensemble cast that they had for this show with Regina King being the cherry on top of that. We hope you love it as we did! BYeeeeeee

What Justine Hasn't Seen: Serial Mom
So, if you listen to our podcast or The Cinemaniacs podcast fairly religiously then you would have heard us mention many times movies/shows/references from the 80's and 90's that our Pop Culture Queen, Justine hasn't seen. So we thought it would be really fun to have a segment on our show called What Justine Hasn't Seen. We don't exactly know how often we will be doing this and The Cinemaniacs may or may not join us for all of them; but we decided to put out our first one and it's the cult classic John Waters film Serial Mom. The movie stars Kathleen Turner as a quintessential stay-at-home mom with a few quirks. It also stars John Waters' regular Rikki Lake, Mathew Lillard whom you would know from the original Scream movie and Sam Waterston from OG Law & Order. Join us as we talk about this dark comedy and get Justine's take on it.

Gone Too Soon: The OA
Our Gone Too Soon episodes always have a certain criteria; a show that wasn't able to finish the story for whatever reason. In this show's instance it was cancelled by Netlfix for not generating the same popularity as shows like Stranger Things; meanwhile the streaming service has an abundance of unwatchable garbage on it. To say that we are bitter about this one is an understatement. The OA was one of those shows that didn't get the ending we feel it deserved, with only 2 seasons in it's legacy and leaving the audience with a million unanswered questions. Join us this episode as we catch up with each other after weeks of doing Game of Thrones with The Cinemaniacs, vacations, sleep studies, wild fires and more. We discuss the 2 seasons we got of The OA and the impact that it had on us.
