On this episode, my guest discusses her recent trip to Walt Disney World wth her husband and two young grandsons. They are all annual passholders, so they were able to experience all four theme parks. Because they stayed at a Disney Resort, they were able to book Lightning Lane Multi Pass 7 days prior to arrival. For this trip, they stayed at the Cabins at Fort Wilderness. This resort has so many fun activities for kids. You can visit the Tri Circle D ranch, where the Disney horses live that you see walking down Nian Street. They also have fishing, archery, swimming pools, campfire sing-alongs, carriage rides, and great dining options as well. It's spooky time at the Disneyland Resort, and my daughter and I experienced Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure Park. This after-hours event was held from 6-9 pm, but you could enter the park at 3 pm. This is such a fun way to experience Halloween time. Many people dressed up. You take home a tremendous amount of candy. There is a parade, villains, and low wait times for rides. On this episode, my guest Lindsay planned a last-minute trip to Universal Orlando Resort to check out the newest theme park, EPIC Universe. She traveled with her 13-year-old son and stayed one night at the new Helios Grand Hotel, which has a dedicated entrance into EPIC Universe. She then switched over to Cabana Bay. She spent 2 days exploring EPIC Universe, one day at Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios using the Express Pass to ride everything they wanted to ride, and checked out Volcano Bay. They then pivoted to Walt Disney World, where they spent an entire day hopping to all four parks. In this episode, I discuss my recent trip to Universal Orlando Resort for my agency meeting with Fantastical Vacations. I had the best time meeting up with other agents and touring resorts. I drove by EPIC Universe which is opening on May 22 and am very excited for this new park to open. I spent some time at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. I stayed at Cabana Bay in a standard room and a family suite that sleeps 6. I then spent some time at Walt Disney World. I stayed at Coronado Springs and was very impressed by this resort. There were great food options and I really loved my room in the Casitas section. I spent some time at Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and the Magic Kingdom. I did the Keys to the Kingdom Tour and the After Hours at the Magic Kingdom and loved both of these! On this episode, I discuss my family's holiday getaway at the Hotel del Coronado on the beautiful Coronado Island in San Diego. We spend three nights at the hotel enjoying the spectacular views, beachside igloos, and ice skating on the beach. Coronado is a great place to visit. They started their journey in California and decided to spend a couple of nights in Amsterdam to break up the long flight and help them with feelings of jet lag. I this episode, I discuss my recently sailing on the Norwegian Bliss down to the Mexican Riviera. We began our cruise in Los Angeles at the Port in San Pedro. We stopped in Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas. We had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the entertainment on board, all of the dining options, and our excursions. The one complaint was with our stateroom location. We were in an Ocean View room on deck 12, room 12704. This room was very noisy when pulling into port and the room would vibrate while porting. This was awful and I would say you should avoid any of the staterooms near the front of the ship.Our excursions were fantastic. We booked two through Viator and one through Norwegian. Just beware when you book an outside excursion that you are responsible for getting back to the ship on time. A good rule of thumb is to give yourself a two hour window in case anything happens. In Puerto Vallarta we booked a Taco Tour with Local Guide. Here is the link for this tour.In Mazatlan we booked a City Tour and Observatory. Here is the link for this tour.In Cabo San Lucas we booked a tour through Norwegian. It was the Luxury Day Sailing and Snorkeling. I traveled a few days before Easter and the parks were definitely busy but with some planning, you can still have a magical vacation.I stayed at three resorts during my trip. My first night was at Port Orleans French Quarter, then I spent two nights at the Grand Floridian, and my final night was at All Star Music. This was my first solo trip and I have to admit, traveling solo has its advantages!*I mentioned in this episode that the pool at Port Orleans French Quarter was closed and since the episode has been released, the pool renovation has been completed and is now reopened.
