I’m Wendy Wink and I’ll be your guide as we unravel the complexities, celebrate the victories, and shed light on the ongoing challenges facing LGBTQIA+ individuals in accessing compassionate and comprehensive care. Each episode, we’ll hear from voices that inspire change, from brave individuals sharing their personal experiences to experts advocating for a more inclusive healthcare landscape. S1E6 I Am The Fucking FBI

Join me in a chat with Justin, a young gay man, in his 20s. Justin highlights some problematic areas in our healthcare system here, in Hawai’i, as he tells stories of his first encounters in the medical world upon moving to O'ahu. I have done my best to omit any identifying factors of where these experiences took place, but they will be brought to the attention of leadership, so we can continue to provide better care for our community. We may touch on sensitive subject matter, as well as some triggering topics. Discretion is advised. If you’re struggling with your mental health, please call 1-877-565-8860 or visit. 988lifeline.org for more resources. As always, nothing said here is medical advice, but lived experience by individuals within a community. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/transhealth/message
