In some criminal cases, it’s almost like the contrast between the crime and the person committing it, which somehow makes everything more shocking. Danielle and Sheila’s remains were later recovered near the Eel River in a similar location. Their killer hasn’t been brought to justice. Danielle was a childhood friend of mine who grew up in Maine. Two years ago, I set out to bring light to her story and help her mother, Billie Jo, fight for justice. 2024 will mark ten years unsolved.
