Smt. Sujatha Nair – A Legacy of Indian Classical Dance
Smt. Sujatha Nair has dedicated her life to mastering and sharing the rich traditions of Indian classical dance. A disciple of legendary gurus, she has trained under Kalaimamani Vidwan Kathiruvelu Pillai, Mahalingam Pillai, Kalanidhi Narayanan, Shobhana Bhalachandra, and her mother, Smt. Jayashree Nair.With performances on prestigious stages across India and internationally, Sujatha is an A-grade artiste of Doordarshan, a recipient of the Government of India Scholarship, and has been honored with titles like “Ranga Shree” and “Nritya Shivali”. Her expertise spans Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Odissi, and even Kathakali.Beyond performing, she is a dedicated teacher, shaping future generations of dancers with her deep knowledge and passion. Dance is not just an art for her—it’s a spiritual journey, a discipline, and a lifelong devotion.
