Dedication Day the First Memorial Day
The first Dedication Day ceremony took place three years after the end of the Civil War. At that time the Commander and Chief of the Grand Army of the Republic, John A. Logan gave a speech commemorating the service of his fallen comrades in arms. The service was followed by boys and girls of the Soldiers and Sailors home placing flowers on the graves of dead Confederate and Union soldiers. This observance continues today as Memorial Day. Thanks to all who have served this country valiantly and willingly. We honor you!

Onerous Legislations
Did you ever notice how politicians always make it sound like there is NO TIME. We must act now! They are always in a hurry and to quote Obama; "we can't wait". And yet it has been more than 3 years since the congress has passed a BUDGET. Apparently America can wait for a budget but not SPENDING BILLS!Senate rules require bills to be held for 48 hours before they receive a vote so members can read them, but said the Senate failed to follow even that minimal rule.

For over 60 years the courts have done more damage to the freedom of this country and its citizenry then any other enemy. This constant assault on our liberty has cumulated in the current Supreme court ruling authorizing the federal government the 'right' to force Americans to do just about anything for just about any reason that the government seems to think is in 'their' best interest.
