The first Dedication Day ceremony took place three years after the end of the Civil War. At that time the Commander and Chief of the Grand Army of the Republic, John A. Logan gave a speech commemorating the service of his fallen comrades in arms. The service was followed by boys and girls of the Soldiers and Sailors home placing flowers on the graves of dead Confederate and Union soldiers. This observance continues today as Memorial Day. Thanks to all who have served this country valiantly and willingly. We honor you!

For over 60 years the courts have done more damage to the freedom of this country and its citizenry then any other enemy. This constant assault on our liberty has cumulated in the current Supreme court ruling authorizing the federal government the 'right' to force Americans to do just about anything for just about any reason that the government seems to think is in 'their' best interest.

Does an act that’s clearly immoral and illegal when done privately become moral when it is done legally and collectively? Put another way, does legality establish morality? Just because it is legal doesn't mean it is right.

Why does it seem like our government is doing everything it can to take away the Constitutional rights of natural born citizens while doing everything it can to grant Constitutional rights to non-citizens?

Scott Walkers recall election win is a win for all of America. Wisconsin voters made it clear that they were serious in wanting someone to cut government spending. They voted not once but twice for Walker. It is a great day in America!

Finding cuts in the Federal budget is easy for the average man to find but ask a politician to find one agency or program to cut is like asking them to cut their own throat. This is poor stewardship of constituents hard-earned money. We can and must do better than this.
