I built this radio show around a track I actually never got around to playing as I was too busy flapping with my unformatted USB stick, but the track was Pájaro Campana- ‘Bell Bird’. Check it out it’s great. I did however play some other Paraguayan harp inspired by this track and gifted to me by my friend Arthur. You may have heard some unreleased Rachel Kitchlew sounds, multiple toad recordings woven into some Vashti Bunyan, and tunes from SHOLTO, Hitoshi Yoshimura & Tom McBrien. DJ FunkOMart aka Bob Ravelli is originally from Philadelphia the home of Philly funk and soul epitomized by the Sound of Philadelphia. He specializes in funk, soul and classic dance tracks in particular disco classics. He also likes to play current dance tracks with a neo disco vibe. His monthly Voices Radio show Queer As Dancing features gay dance and club classics and highlights queer recording artists. He has played at various clubs around London. He was a resident DJ at the iconic Friendly Society in Soho and at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern for many years for Bar Wotever and Duckie late night. He has had gigs at The Glory, The Eagle and The Standard Hotel. He also played at Nico’s Bar for Body Movements and Hootananny in Brixton.
