Once here, he met Barbara Ortega through an online dating website. Last month they came to the Chicago StoryCorps booth for Valentine’s Day. Barbara has mild cerebral palsy, which gave her pause when she started meeting people online.

She ran a help desk for people who wanted to seal their criminal records. Cynthia was a law school student in her fifties, a volunteer at the desk.
