2026 - Week 17
2026 Week 17 Week of April 20-26, 2026 I had the inspiration to jump on the mic and do a quick recording. I talk about film photography, video editing, and a bit of video games! Enjoy.

2025 - Week 32
Another weekend alone, another week with a heat advisory. In this episode I talk about reading from a script vs. winging it, the process of making notebooks, and making time for myself. Link to my Ko-Fi cassette mixtape listing: https://ko-fi.com/s/eb30ea922c

2025 - Week 28
I'm on vacation and I stopped to dip my feet in the water while taking a break on a short bike ride. Beautiful day. Some short thoughts.

2025 - Week 19
It's a sunny day so I made this a short one. Talking about Capcut and Spider-Man for the PS4. Plus a field recording from the start of my commute to work on Thursday.

2025 - Week 18
I've returned to recording on the macbook after several weeks away from it. I "solved" my sample rate issues (I think). I forgot to mention that I'm running MacOS Monterey on this mid-2012 Macbook Pro, installed via OpenCore Legacy. It runs very well! It wants me to update further than that but I'm not sure how that will go. I'm rambling. Listen for more fun stuff and I'm pretty sure my thumb is not broken. No music in today's episode.

2025 - Week 15
This episode recorded & edited entirely on an iPod Touch. Yes, that tiny, tiny screen running iOs 15.8.3! I probably would have been better served sending this to my iPad and editing there - my thumbs are far too big for delicate editing work on an iPod - but I was determined to put my theories from Podcasting 101 to the test. This was recorded in my car while I was out running errands. No music used this time around.

Max Headroom
My bad. There are some sample rate issues on my MacBook, where I recorded the last episode. So here's a short apology for sounding like Max Headroom!

2025 - Week 12
A rainy day calls for a quick podcast talking about the week that was (or...is? We're still in week 12). Talking about Story Time with Wil Wheaton, self hosted servers, and Obsidian. And video games. Music: Rainy Day Friction (Sweet Thing Mix) by Lorenzo's Music - blocSonic

2025 - Week 10
With apologies to the audio quality, I finally found time to record a new audio weeknote. This is for Week 10, ending March 9 2025. I was putting away some things in the kitchen while I was recording with my bluetooth earbud, so the audio was a little choppy. I tried to limit clipping as best as possible. 2025 - Week 04
Keeping it simple this week. No fancy audio production today - it's just been a Good Week.

2025 Midweek 04
A first ever: a "midweeknote"! I forgot several things in the last set of weeknotes so I thought I would cover one of those things - a basic bullet journal tutorial - before I forgot again. 2025 - Week 03
This week was the week for new vinyl: Brad Sucks' latest, "Naturally", arrived in the mail early in the week, and I found a copy of an album by The Kingbees - apparently they have something to do with Steppenwolf? I'm unclear. The majority of the episode was recorded outside on a walk with my dog. You can get in touch with me at https://srgower.com. 2025 - Week 01
Broadcast Week 01. It's been a long week - where paradoxically a lot of things happened, but nothing happened. In today's episode a small tribute to my long-running-but-on-hiatus podcast "Alternative Airwaves" (https://www.alternativeaiewaves.com). Also, sad news about blocSonic artist Hollis Smith, who passed away this past week. You can hear the full version of "Dark Country Road" here: https://blocsonic.com/releases/mr-mrs-smith/dark-country-road/

2024 - Week 50
I didn't do much prep work this week, so it's a short one. I talk briefly about Apple Music, and making conscious choices about what music to listen to; and colouring in a colouring book instead of scrolling mindlessly on social media. Music this week: Fireflies & Stardust by Kevin MacLeod of Incompetech. Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0.

2024 - Week 49
Today I talk about the recent snowfall, the PWHL game I went to featuring the Ottawa Charge & Montreal Victoire (and feel like an old man ranting about the loud music), and how I much prefer the British version of Harry Potter books. The music is recorded from the National Film Board short Gone Curling. The bit at the end about fast forwarding to the end of the tape? That's from Side A of the cassette version of the album "Into the Great Wide Open" by Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. Links: Another song mystery. 2024 - Week 48
In this episode I wonder about my memory foibles as well as my apparently shrinking hands. Also - 5 years alcohol-free today, who knew? Music is "Lobby Time" by Kevin MacLeod of Incompetech. Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0

2024 - Week 47
This podcast is an audio form of my weekly notes - published on https://srgower.com. In these episodes, which may or may not be weekly, I will talk about some things that interest me, or that happened to me, and also play around with audio files from time to time. I hope you enjoy it! Music: "Inspired" by Kevin MacLeod of Incompetech.com. Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0
