My wife and I had just gotten married when everything happened. It was actually during our honeymoon that the most incredible—and terrifying—moment of our lives took place. We encountered Bigfoot—or more accurately, multiple Bigfoot.Looking back on that experience, we nearly lost our passion for the outdoors. An event like that can change your perspective, especially when someone you love might have been in danger.Here is our story.

There I was, trying to hide from the world when something mysterious, and even a bit wondrous, but scary, entered it. I never expected my life to include tragedy, redemption, and a legend come to life.At the time, tragedy was my middle name. Hiking the coastal trail to False Klamath was something I loved to do back in the day. This is all past tense, as you can tell. Why, you ask? Because Bigfoot is there, and it is not worth the risk of losing my life.I have heard of people having good experiences with these things, but not me. My experience was not pleasant at all.
