Seit Sonntagabend sind hier bei uns im Olper Mutterhaus 16 Schwestern mit einem Exerzitienbegleiter in ihren Jahresexerzitien. Es sind Schwestern aus verschiedenen Konventen unserer Gemeinschaft, aber auch aus anderen, sehr verschiedenen Ordensgemeinschaften. Und eine Schwester, die am Samstag ihr 65. Ordensjubiläum feiern wird, ist also in die Ordensgemeinschaft eingetreten, als ich selbst 2 Jahre alt war. Wow, dachte ich, dass ist ja unglaublich. 65 Jahre gelebtes Ordensleben im Dienst vor Gott und für die Menschen. Und man könnte doch jetzt denken: Warum muss sie noch Exerzitien, also Übungen im Glaubensleben machen, wenn sie das schon so lange tut? Diese Frage ist dieselbe, die als Frage an Eheleute geht, die seit vielen Jahrzehnten zusammen als Glaubende leben. Sie würden dieselbe Antworte geben: Wir konnten es so lange schaffen, weil wir jeden Tag neu geübt haben. Sich darin geübt, also exerziert darin, miteinander zu glauben, zu hoffen und zu lieben und das Leben mit allen Höhen und Tiefen miteinander zu teilen. Und das Thema dieser Exerzitien ist noch dazu sehr besonders: „Menschen des Weges – mit Wurzeln und Flügeln“. Wir werden in diesen Tagen viele biblische Geschichten anschauen und neu lesen. Geschichten, die immer Bewegungs- und Begegnungsgeschichten sind: mit sich selbst, mit Mitmenschen, mit Jesus Christus und mit Gott. Ganz am Anfang des Kurses war ein Foto zu sehen mit einer Figur, die nur bis zur Brusthöhe dargestellt war. Auf mich wirkte das sehr energisch schauend, ein Ziel anvisierend und einen Stab zur Hand nehmend. Das komplette Bild aber zeigte einen Heiligen, der mit großen Schritten losläuft. Das zeigt es, glaube ich ganz gut: Ich kann, wenn ich fest verwurzelt im Leben und Glauben bin, ganz neue Ziele ins Auge fassen und dann, wie beflügelt, loslegen und mich auf den Weg machen, um mein Ziel, meine Idee, meine Vision zu erreichen.Und in jedem Leben stellt sich dann ja die Frage nach dem, wo ich mich verwurzelt fühle, wo ich quasi geerdet bin, und meine Kraft herbekomme. Und dann als zweites natürlich auch, was und wer verleiht mir Flügel, beflügelt mich um neue Wege zu schauen und auch zu beginnen. Das könnten zwei gute Fragen für Dich und mich heute sein: nach meinen Wurzeln und nach meinen Flügeln.
