Madi had experienced two early term pregnancy losses prior to getting pregnant with Ruth. Madi and her husband, Ben, were ecstatic when they got pregnant with Ruth and had a fairly uneventful pregnancy until 36 weeks gestation. Madi had to be induced due to preeclampsia. Despite being born 4 weeks early, Ruth was born healthy on November 18. Madi and Ben's lives were turned upside down when Ruth passes away suddenly less than 4 weeks later.
