from ILLUMINATE

Sometimes the greatest worship music sounds nothing like worship music. For this special Advent episode of the ALT podcast, I flew up to New York City to hang with two musical artists who are writing some of the most interesting liturgical music I've ever heard. Eric Marshall (of Young Oceans) & David Gungor (of The Brilliance) are a part of Trinity Grace Church, a multi-parish community spread across the neighborhoods of NYC. Just like their parishes, the music they're writing for their congregations is centered around the church calendar... but it's nothing like you might expect. This will also serve as the last episode for Season One of ALT. I'm going to take a few months off while I travel, though I'll be actively recording more conversations for Season Two, which I hope to release in the first half of 2016.
