001 - Act 1

In a bid to address their frustrations with their husbands and the inequalities faced by women, the members of the Wives Welfare Club come together for a candid meeting. Fueled by their grievances, they decide to take a bold stand and go on Strike, with Jane Spink chosen to lead the charge. Newlywed Betty Albright, who sings her husbands praises, initially finds humor in the other wives complaints. However, as the evening unfolds and she returns home, she begins to question if she, too, might soon find herself on strike! - Summary by Jenn Broda
