Sensuous Peripheries is a podcast about the senses. It's the debut platform for the multidisciplinary creative studio Peripherie, founded by myself Caroline, a researcher, designer, technologist, and writer who's explored sensory design and technology examples at length. Consider this introductory episode of Sensuous Peripheries, a "who I am, how I got here, where I'm going" prologue where I share my podcast content creation approach. I'm a student of the complex; why is design sustainability important? And what is design for sustainability? questions. In this podcast, I'll shine a light on how the body's sensory spectrum intersects with nature's patterns to name and define a centre for conscious art and design aesthetics. These conversations offer the latest, innovative examples relating sensory art mediums, issues, design history and multidisciplinary creative practices. Each week, the Sensuous Peripheries Podcast will release ideas or guest interviews conducted by myself, Caroline, with leading creators in the arts, design, research, business, and beyond, representing work characterised by conscious design or purpose. These people make an impact in their field by contributing to larger conversations about the living world we're all part of. The familiar thread?
