001: Introducing the Strengths Revolution

from The Strengths Revolution with Steve Morgan | Strengths | Resources | Taking Risks

We don't spend enough time identifying and working with our personal qualities and strengths, but we all have them. We all have talents, abilities, capabilities, desires, motivations and wishes. Our strengths underpin our abilitiy to take risks and make decisions. As an approach in health and social care the concept emerged through Social Workers in the University of Kansas in the early 1980's. As a focus for successful businesses worldwide the study of strengths has been a key programme for the Gallup organisation for several decades. The approach applies equally to individual clients, employees, teams and organisation-wide.
