001 Why Trying To Be ‘Consistent’ Can Make Us Feel Like We’re Failing

from Busy Woman's Guide to Wellbeing

Welcome to the first episode of The Busy Woman’s Guide to Fitness and Wellness Podcast!  In this episode, I want to share with you why I’ve started this podcast in the first place, and then we will dive into the topic of consistency, and what it means to me. I’m going to share why we've taken it a bit too literally, which in turn feeds into the feeling that we're failing when it comes to improving our fitness and wellness. Then I'm going to share with you how you can view consistency differently to get closer to where you want to go.  What We Cover: - The dominating conversations in the world of fitness and wellness and why they need to change - Why we as women need to challenge the myth of consistency - My view of consistency and how my schedule looks like on different weeks - How to view consistency in from a long term perspective and be realistic about it Nobody else out there lives your life, so you've got to create something that works for you in the here and now. It may not be perfect, you might not be able to be consistent 100% of the time, but as long as you're doing something that is fitting into your life, then that is going to bring more positive outcome in the long term.   I’d also love for you to join me for the Motivation Reboot Workshop on May 24th (8pm) at https://chickfit.lpages.co/motivation-reboot/  Connect with me:  - Join the Free Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/busywomansfitness - My website https://www.chickfit.co.uk/  - Find me on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/alixchickfit - Find me on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/alixchickfit
