002 - Brad Kowitz

On this episode of The MF Show, we sit down with Brad Kowitz from TrailRecon. Brad and his son started the TrailRecon YouTube channel back in 2015, as a sort of personal video diary, and had no intention of making content for a viewer base. Regardless of intentions, Brad’s videos soon started to attract views, and Brad had developed a fan base of people who were interested in off-roading. This growing fan base inspired Brad to improve his content, and over the past 10 years, Brad has amassed over 634,000 subscribers on YouTube. Brad sits down with us to talk about his lifelong relationship with cars, and his transition from street cars to Jeeps and off-roading. Brad shares some personal stories and experiences of how much off-road has changed his life for the better, improving his relationship with his family, getting out in nature, and making content that inspires others to do the same. We then talk about the off-road aftermarket. We discuss off-road essentials, vehicle modification, camping gear, and Brad gives his initial thoughts on the new Land Cruiser both as a stock vehicle and an aftermarket platform.
