002 Cacao, Ayahuasca, and the Medicine Path

from Chronicles of a Psychonaut · host Finch Lessack

I am joined today by Sena Shellenberger, who organizes cacao retreats to help people get in touch with their emotions and open their hearts. She left her job at Google to pursue an interest in plant medicine and the healing path. In this episode we hear her story and experiences with cacao and ayahuasca. Cacao is the raw form of chocolate and has been used by indigenous people in Central and South America for thousands of years. It contains an alkaloid related to caffeine called theobromine, which is stimulating and increases blood flow in the body. It also helps people get in touch with their emotions, especially those related to the heart.  Sena Shellenberger Instagram @sena__maria www.sena-maria.com I'd love to know what you think!
