002. Pascal Egli | A story of meters, ice and activism

from Running long - A trail and ultra running talk · host Vert.run

Pascal Egli is a Swiss mountain runner and ski mountaineer who likes steep and technical races. He has an endless passion for mountains and their unspoilt landscapes, where mostly he feels at home, preferably above 3000m of elevation. While being a world class athlete, he's also completing a PhD in glaciology at the University of Lausanne. Coming out of his first ultra, we sat down and chatted about his running career, his training and his future plans in the sport. We covered his environmental activism, his commitment for non profit organizations like POW (Protect Our Winters Switzerland) and Kilian Jornet Foundation. We talked about the importance of recovery, the environmental awareness of trail runners, his glaciology field work and the balance between his studies and his professional athletic career. Please welcome: Pascal Egli!
