In this episode, we settled into our new weekly rhythm and talked through what it means to build live, open, Podcasting 2.0-native tools in public. Reed unpacked the vision behind OnlyBoosts as a discoverability layer for podcast and music boosts shared on Nostr, while I reflected on the feedback it got from the Podcasting 2.0 crew and why that criticism around Nostr login friction was fair. We also compared notes on building from opposite directions — one of us starting with Nostr and adding podcasting, the other starting with Podcasting 2.0 and layering in Nostr — and why that convergence is starting to feel useful rather than theoretical.We also got into the weeds on Nostr Wallet Connect, wallet onboarding, cross-app boosts, shared metadata, music charts, favorites, and the bigger question of whether Nostr works best as a social feed or as a behind-the-scenes data and identity layer. From OnlyBoosts and Boost Me Bitch to music apps, live experiences, and future community tools, this one was really about reducing friction, making discovery better, and figuring out how to build open systems that are actually fun to use.
