Joanne shares how working in hospice in her early 30's gave her the guts to become a stand-up comedian in her 40's and start her own TV show. Her marriage to her husband John, who suffered from multiple health problems, is a testament to Finding Joy in the Hard.Joanne's motto: "Just say yes to things, what difference does it make if you fail." Joanne credits AA for John's can do attitude and philosophy on finding joy and gratitude no matter what. Joanne tells Suzanne that she was an example for her in living through the hard.
