004 - Running 7 marathons in 7 days, learning to walk again after brain surgery and the steps to mastery w/ Doug Wilson
from Renegade Movement Radio · host Fernandez
Doug Wilson broke the Guinness World Record for “the fastest time to run a marathon on each continent” (that’s 7 marathons on 7 continents in 6 days and 18 hours) - even more astounding is that he broke that record less than 12 months after he had brain surgery to remove a life threatening brain tumour, a procedure which left him with permanent nerve damage, partial deafness and having to re-learn how to walk. Through Kundalini yoga, meditation and practices and mindsets we dive deep into in this podcast, Doug completely turned his life around after not only the tumour, but battling addiction and working in a ‘successful’ but ultimately unfulfilling job in the investment banking world. In this episode we go deep behind the scenes into his story & personal practice, discussing the grit and discipline of never missing a yoga practice for 1500 days, the practice of patience and the steps to mastery. Doug now works as a Kundalini Yoga and meditation teacher and shares his story through speaking engagements and his book ‘Kundalini Running’.
