She cut her teeth on journalism as a small town beat and general assignment reporter near Yellowstone National Park. As an American with two liberal arts degrees (one in Spanish and one in Catholic Studies) she has held a variety of jobs over the years besides writing. Five years ago, she moved with her husband to his ancestral home in northwest Spain.
