Chris became Chair of NYSRTL in 2018 after previously serving on the Board for her area, and staff member in Albany 2004-08 as legislative director, political coordinator and assistant executive director. Chris has worked the last eight years in communications for a major corporation in public relations, project execution, research, writing, editing, and community education. She has also worked consulting political and legislative campaigns and has been a candidate for office five times including twice for the state Assembly. Her work as a Trustee in Liverpool includes chairing two citizen committees, oversight of finances and operations, legislation, and responding to the needs of her constituents. Chris has closely watched and helped counter the tactics of New York’s abortion industry to advance extreme legislation over a dozen years. Despite many earlier successes, an election-driven 2018 leadership change in the state Senate and other factors resulted in the “Reproductive Health Act” becoming law on January 22, 2019 over the true sensibilities of New Yorkers.
