006: Ground Beef Battery

From a Walmart brawl involving a 10-pound log of ground beef to PETA’s war on “speciesist” insults, this episode of News with Bill proves once again that truth really is stranger than fiction. When police in Ohio respond to a disturbance in a Walmart potato chip aisle, they walk into one of the strangest assaults ever — a woman wielding a massive log of ground beef as a weapon. From beef to bizarre, I also dive into a Florida man’s failed attempt to use the “stand your ground” law after brutally beating an iguana, and a Southwest Airlines pilot who decided to turn his cockpit into an adult theater mid-flight. Then, I break down PETA’s demand that people stop using animal names like “chicken” or “rat” as human insults, because apparently even metaphors aren’t safe anymore. Finally, I share the weirdest online sales you’ll never believe — from belly button lint to celebrity air and crypts next to Marilyn Monroe. If you love strange news, true crime oddities, viral internet stupidity, and Florida’s finest follies, this episode has it all. Tune in for laughs, disbelief, and a few stories that might just make you question humanity.
