007. Bonus: Happy Juneteenth: Living in the Promise of our Ancestors // Reflect and Honor

Hey Yall! Happy Juneteenth! I have a special bonus episode for you today as we celebrate our Black Independence Day, the day our ancestors were emancipated and freed from slavery.  If you are not a black person, please don’t skip over this episode. Please listen and celebrate with us. I promise there’s no blaming or condemnation, and you’ll be able to glean from it too. My hope is that we can come together and celebrate this day as a nation.  In today’s episode we have a very short history of how Juneteenth came to be. We have a lot of reflection on what things may have been like for our ancestors. I share that slavery was only 4 generations ago in my family and how thankful to God I am to be where I am today. Today is about celebrating and honoring our ancestors for their endurance and their sacrifices. From this day forward, let’s live lives that honor them!
