007 Mid - Morning Train
from Shawn Waggoner tunes Hosted by Shawn Waggoner
My train song, featuring Glenn Taylor on pedal steel and David Farrell on bass. Mid Morning Train The mid morning train moans, sound of metal on metal echoes across this desolate plane The heat of the summer rolls down the side of my cheek, trickles onto linen Comfort of security is topped only by thoughts of another place far far away I wish sleep was like the water, he said, always flowing or held tight in a well But sleep is sleep, and you never get enough, And the mid morning train moans... Solace of the orange room, sliced by a single beam, the dust dances and plays in the light Whines and whistles remind me I'm only a prisoner of heat And the mid morning train moans
