01 Intro
from Smoked Out Radio Hosted by Dj Smoke Mixtaoes
New York emcee Blue Legacy teams up with the host of the mixtape show IKing to pay homage to the foundation of Hip-Hop with their unofficial soundtrack of the Netflix original series "the Get Down". Each track brings you back to a time when originality was necessary & lyricism was a prerequisite. Teaming up with some of the city's underground elite to remix songs like Eric B & Rakim's "Paid in Full" & Slick Rick's "Children Story" is dangerous but Blue Legacy executes each track like a veteran! Throughout the entire mixtape you'll hear samples and hooks from legends like Notorious B.I.G. and Nas sprinkled in the mix giving off a feel of Hip-hop nostalgia. The Get Down is a must listen if you truly love Hip-hop or even if you just enjoy good music!
