010 - The Connected Home: Nurturing Relationships at Home

Today, I talk about Relationships in home creation, which is the eighth lesson in the First Foundation of Home: Mindset & Motivation. In this episode, we look at the importance of relationships in our homes, some signs of heathy relationships, how to build and maintain positive relationships in our homes, as well as Fair Play and teamwork in home creation.   Here’s a recap: Relationships are really a foundational part of home. The quality of relationships within our homes significantly influences our experiences of home, and when we develop Relationships are important for many reasons. Healthy, respectful, and supportive relationships contribute to our overall health and happiness within our homes. People who have healthy relationships are more likely to feel joy and satisfaction with their lives. When we encourage positive relationships in our homes, they become safe and enjoyable spaces for love, trust, growth, and connection. We can build and maintain healthy relationships in our home in a number of ways, including getting to know ourselves, doing the work, showing affection and appreciation, setting healthy boundaries, positive communication, resolving conflict, letting go of control, learning from reflection and making plans for the future. We cannot talk about relationships in our homes without also talking about Fair Play and teamwork. Fair Play and teamwork are essential concepts in maintaining balance, equality and shared responsibility within our homes.
