It's Tori's cover of ACDC from 2005. Oh, that fun 2005 tour. What is this song really about? Well, you know, it's about women and cars and things that move fast, and it's exciting to see all different models.
That's what Rian Johnson said, but you know that energy, it brought me to cars and guitars. It never was cars and guitars, and so maybe Tori's cover of You Shook Me All Night Long is related to cars and guitars? I don't know. Does it work?
Works for me, definitely works for me, so that energy, though, is about, it's not really about the cars and guitars, it's not really about the cars and the fast girls and the models and all of that, because You Shook Me All Night Long, right? There's that comparison there, there's the one girl who did all that kind of stuff, and then there's the other girl that shook him all night long. So you know what? We kind of shake it up a little bit.
Girls, boys, babies, gaybies, all the listeners out there, yogis, it's time to shake it up a little bit, and what better way to shake it up a little bit than to do one of my favorite practices? Bouncing. Bouncing is super easy. Now, it's even easier if you get yourself a rebounder.
I'm in love with my rebounder. I'm up to 15 minutes a day. I'm usually watching Charmed. Just a snippet of 15 minutes of Charmed while I do 15 minutes of bouncing, but we can do this not on a rebounder.
You can do it on the floor. I've been doing, like, two minutes first thing in the morning after I get up. Move your lymphatic fluid, because you've got to shake it up. If you want to renew things and you want to get things moving, you've got to shake things up, and, well, bouncing is the best way to do that.
So, feet. Underneath your hips may be slightly wider apart than your hips. Find your comfort zone with your foot position. You want to plant those feet, and you want to be anchored through your heels.
The tendency is to want to roll forward on the balls of the feet and bounce. It's going to make your calves tighter, and you, honey, you do not need tighter calves. Am I talking to you? Yes, I'm specifically talking to you.
You don't need those tighter calves, so make sure you're planted through your heels. Relax everything else. Nothing else needs to work. Don't twist your body.
Don't move anything else. Let it come from the knees a little bit, and it's just a little bounce. It's like, how much have you been in your knees? A little bit.
You don't want to go too fast. You don't want to go too slow. You want a nice, good, you want everything to jiggle. Like, I know some of you worked really hard on, like, the chocolate and the cookies.
I know certain somebody went to a cookie party. Somebody's went to a cookie party, so, you know, we worked really hard, paid a lot of money for this extra, you know, I call it body by butter. I paid money for body by butter. So now's the time to enjoy it, and let it all jiggle.
Nobody has to know. Nobody has to see. So you're bouncing, and you're getting everything all shook up. The more you relax, the better it works, because we don't need to be tightening up our muscles.
How long should you be bouncing for? Well, hopefully you've been bouncing this whole time I've been talking to you. Five minutes is good. Ten minutes is even better.
And ten minutes once a day. Now, if you're somebody who has, like, all set an intention for steps, about ten minutes of bouncing will get you about a thousand steps. So if you need to make up your steps, try some bouncing. It'll get everything moving.
The only contraindication for this practice is a full bladder, so you might want to empty that stuff out. But if you had a full bladder and you started this, well, you already know that. You didn't need me to tell you that. So give yourself some good bouncing.
Shake it up a little bit. Let go of that shit. Because let me tell you, bouncing, after you've had a rough day, is maybe one of the best things you can do. If I talk about work or if I talk about politics, I get on the rebounder to do it.
It makes all the difference in the world. When I get frustrated, I get on that rebounder, and I just bounce. I just bounce. That rebounder was perhaps one of the better investments I've made in myself and in my life.
