Yes, I know what you think of me. Never shut up. Never shut up. Never shut up.
Do you need a woman to look after you? Well that then begins the secret death wish. Welcome to Never Shut Up. I'm your host Rose Crass.
Today is January 17th and 18th. It's the weekend. Yay. That means we're talking God and devils and gods.
Look, God connection. This is all seventh chakra awakening work when we get to the yoga. You know, God is really, I mean, I think these songs are pretty simple to understand the energy of God is this question, you know, questioning God and devils and gods is also yet another question where we find ourselves confused about the devils or is it gods? Is this place there?
Is it your thought? Anyway, we want to open up our seventh chakra. We feel our fullest connection with divine there and when we are in our fullest connection, when we are living from that place of ultimate authenticity as the divine beings that we are as the universe experiencing itself through you. Well, then there is no confusion.
Then we can see things as they are rather than be confused by what people are telling us they are supposed to be, which is really the main theme, right? Of organized religion in the structure of organized religion in charge of our lives. So what better pose to use here than headstand? So headstand is placing the crown of the head on the floor where the feet usually are.
It's symbolic of submitting our egos, but headstand also, it opens the seventh chakra. My teacher, Rama says the seventh chakra then points downwards and the flower, the petals of the seventh chakra, which usually are resting on the head. When we invert, the flower goes the other way. So you're receiving that wisdom from the earth and there are some that would call the wisdom of the earth, the devil.
Headstand can be rather challenging. I use a headstander. The one thing to know if you choose to go that route is that a headstander, you want to make sure that you have a little bit of pressure under your head. You can use a block.
I use kind of a bean baggy thing under the crown of my head, which gives me that connection to the crown of the head. If you can't do headstand, and I'm just going to assume that most of you are not in a headstand practicing space, the headspace for headstand. So I'll give you a nice alternative that everybody can do. This is best done when you're sitting in a chair.
Remember, don't do this if you're driving, please. So sitting in a chair, you're going to bring your feet wider apart like you're a guy sitting on the airplane. You can take it up as much space with your legs as you would like. Let's just call it taking up space.
You're going to place your forearms on your knees or your thighs and let your head drop between your legs to the best of your ability. The further below your heart you get it, the better. Then you're going to take your hands and place them on your head with special attention to like where, if you were wearing a Mohawk, that Mohawk region of the head, and you're going to start to kind of massage that area while you also use the sound of NG, an mm. So the back of the tongue coming up towards the soft palate and just extending that sound out.
So it becomes like mm. The back of the tongue is directing that energy up towards that seventh chakra and you're using your hands as pressure to massage that area open. Now, for those of you that do have a headstander at home or can do a full headstand with your forearms on the ground, make sure that you're pressing away from you, pressing the ground away from you, lengthening your neck. This is super, super important so that we don't collapse into the neck in our headstand.
Of course, the alternative of sitting and massaging the ground of your head will work for everybody and anybody. You can even massage somebody else's head for them if they were unable to do this. As always, thank you for joining me and Tory for a little mental yoga. Remember, five minutes of practice a day is so much better than 60 minutes once a week.
Bye. Southern Food. I know what I'm talking about. I don't know if even daughter would be horrified.
