012 | Lessons Learned on My Fitness Journey

from One Percent Healthier · host Megan Timpson

Hello everyone! Today's episode I share with you my fitness journey and what I've learned along the way to help me finally be consistent with exercise, to have a why behind movement, and to feel good about taking care of myself, instead of just wanting to get a sweat in or burn calories. If you've struggled with knowing what to do for your workouts, I've been there. If you've been scared to go to the gym and feel insecure there, I've been there. If you're looking for a deeper why behind exercise besides just checking the box, I've been there. If you're wanting to switch from using exercise from soley to change how you look to be more for performance or general/mental health, I've been there too.So many life lessons are learned through fitness: no effort is wasted when you use it to better yourself in some way.I hope you enjoy today's episode and have more clarity on where I've been and why I decided to become a coach and personal trainer. At the roots, its because I know how important health is and because the coaches/teachers I had growing up changed the trajectory of my life and I hope to have that level of impact on people as well through coaching, podcasting, and social media. Thanks for being here!
