Yes, I know what you think of me. Never shut up. Never shut up. Never shut up.
Come in, Houston. I'm going to Antarctica. Welcome to Never Shut Up. I'm your host, Rose Kress.
Today is January 24th and the 25th of 2026th. It's the weekend. We are talking about Donut Song and Apollo's Rock. Oh, yes, my favorite song.
These two paired together because of course there's that wonderful meter session where she intros Donut Song with Apollo's Rock. Now, sometimes we are so busy circling someone else's son. Like a devoted satellite that we can't see that our rock was always as beautiful as our sisters. We let people take and eat the fruits of our tree and we do not replenish ourselves.
This, these two songs together, when you take them together as a whole, it's about how we dim our lights. It's the energy of being honest and open with ourselves. Donut Song starts it with like, ah, you know, I was always hanging on to your shade and I'm slowly moving on from that. I'm climbing up out of that hole.
You never gain weight from a Donut hole. I'm climbing up out of it. And then Apollo's Rock continues it with this energy of, you know what? Fuck you.
You've taken far too much. You've taken the fruits of my tree. I gave it to you willingly and you took it. And now you know what?
I'm like the mother lion. I'm calling in the shikina. I'm calling in the ninefold and we are taking back what's ours. This is about taking up space, right?
Apollo's Rock is about taking up space. Donut Song softens that message a little bit because it recognizes our own participation in giving up the fruits of our tree. So when we take these two songs together that blended energy really talks about how we replenish our own energy. It's about seeing that we are important enough to take time out of our day for self-care, for self-awareness, to replenish ourselves.
It's okay to give people your energy. It's okay to give people the fruits of your tree, but you must replenish your energy. Beautiful way to do this is with Viana Vayu Mudra. Viana is the energy that moves from the core of your body to the outside, to the external, to the edges, the periphery, whatever you want to call it.
It's the energy that radiates like a sun. This is the energy that technically supports beyond the boundaries of your body and supports the structure of your auric and energy fields. Vayu is really just the wind. So Viana is a wind and which wind?
Vayu is like, well which wind is this? It's the Viana Vayu, the circulation, the movement from the center to the outside to the periphery. A very simple mudra. You could do this mudra while you're driving.
You're going to take your pad of your index finger to touch the pad of your thumb and then you're tracing the line down the inside of your thumb to the base of your thumb with your index finger and then folding your thumb. And then folding your thumb over the top of your index finger to hold it in place, extend the other three fingers. You can rest the hands in your lap if you're driving the car and I have done this neutral while I'm driving before. If you're driving, of course, you've just got the rest of your fingers on the steering wheel.
And we're breathing here, breathing into the hands. You might notice, especially if you're somebody with cold hands, the hands start to warm up here. As we tap into that energy that moves from the center of the body, that radiant energy. When people take and take and take and we don't replenish or auric field begins to suffer holes, it looks like lattice work.
Especially the energy field in the back of our body. We shore up the energy field in front of us, rarely shoring up the energy field behind us. And this mudra is going to extend and support the auric field behind you. You can hold this mudra for long periods of time.
It's not an energizing mudra. So continue holding it even as you move on to the next podcast, the next moment of your day. Thank you for joining me and to worry for little mental yoga. Remember, five minutes of yoga a day is so much more profound than 60 minutes a week.
See you tomorrow. Drop me in, drop me down in a pala back in the wind too. And a heart in calm. You go round and sit down.
On to your ocean. I get some way beyond pain. Let's you in this time. Never learned today.
I guess I'm where can't I can tell me over all. It's over. Yes, go right on and say yes to you can tell me over your shore. You can tell me yes.
I'm wasting all my time this time. On to your ocean. Hey, let's do something fun. Never shut up is a production of a sideways society.
