015: Del Shores Celebrates the Damaged, Deranged, Forgotten & Sordid

Del Shores has written, directed and produced successfully across studio and independent film, network and cable television and regional and national touring theatre. His work includes the cult classics: "Sordid Lives," "Sordid Lives, The Series" and "A Very Sordid Wedding." His most recent project is the national tour of his new show, "Six Characters in Search of a Play." On This Episode Randy confesses he wants everyone to love Del Shores' work as a writer and director as much as he does. Randy and Del focus on his most famous work, "Sordid Lives" (2 films and a TV series). Del tells fabulous stories about Rue McClanahan, Caroline Rhea, Debra Messing, Thomas Haden Church and "Queer as Folk." In large part, Shores' various Sordid iterations tackle the universal topics of love and acceptance juxtaposed against bigotry and religion gone awry.
