0157 - Wilson (Pokémon Cards)
from revelry: Podcast Hosted by revelry
Wilson started collecting Pokémon cards around 2015-16, back when a pack cost $20 and nobody outside the hobby cared. He says it's "just a hobby," but he's clearly gone deep enough that his wife's started quietly selling off pieces of his collection. Then Logan Paul happened, the market went insane overnight, and Wilson found himself sitting on cards that used to be pocket change and are now worth real money. In this episode he cracks open real packs on camera, walks us through PSA grading and sunk cost fallacy.
