017 - Gaining Life Skills Through Dance

Miss Tara Pickford is an internationally recognized master dance teacher, adjudicator, and award winning choreographer. A dance teacher of 21 years and owner of Ambition Performing Arts in Airdrie, Canada (near Calgary) for 13 years, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with a major in Mind Sciences along with teaching certifications for ADAPT, Al Gilbert, and Acrobatic Arts. The mother of 2 daughters (7 & 10), Miss Tara truly believes in the power of dance and has worked with the Wild Rose Dance Association for 21 years to raise and distribute 50K in scholarships to local dancers in her area. Miss Tara shares her personal insight into gaining life skills through dance.
