Tomma Mueller was in studio to discuss being the owner of a Tattoo shop, going on a tattoo tour, sidepipe and more. She has been a licensed tattoo artist for 11 years in Portland, Oregon. She has nine different coil machines but has mainly switched over to rotaries for coloring. She also uses a pen style machine frequently, which is good for traveling. With a rotary machine it is easier to do large field to faded color. It's not as hard on your hands because it doesn't vibrate as much and is not as hard on your hands. They are more consistent and don't have to be tweaked as much. She doesn't stick to one particular brand of ink but does make sure it is quality. She has refused inking ridiculous tattoos. Younger kids trying to get a boyfriend's name on their neck. She will refuse racist tattoos but has no problem doing a funny tattoo. It is possible to get tattooed by three tattoo artists at one time. She likes to spend time with her family and dogs, paint, draw, hike and workout in her free time.
