#018: Danielle Mercuri on Opening Restaurants, Building a Team, and Her Creative Process

In this episode, I’m sitting down with Danielle Mercuri, CEO of Dremer Group Restaurants. Danielle was born and raised in the Rome area, and has developed her passion for food in the CNY region. She has found a unique way to mix food with abstract creativity, bringing a “big city feel” to the restaurant scene of Syracuse.  As a child, her mother and father were heavily involved in the world of restaurants, both finding careers in the field. Following in their footsteps, Danielle has four of her own restaurants, including Rise N Shine, LODED, Lalalu, and Lobster Babe, which she has built alongside an incredible team.  In this episode we touch on things like getting into business when you’re technically a rookie, astrology, how to build a good team, taking risks, and leaning into your own strengths.
